The property is a modern terraced holiday home situated on Freshwater Bay Holiday Park. The Beautiful secluded beach of Freshwater East is only a two minute walk away. All Electricity and heating are included.

About Michael

We are a family of 5, with 3 girls aged 6,8,and 10.

I am a staff nurse and my husband a maintenance engineer. We lead very busy lives and find our chalet the ideal place to unwind and catch up on quality family time. The chalet is a very special place for the girls, they have a fantastic beach on their door step and often make good friends with children from other chalets. They have nothing but good memories of our chalet, and describe buying it as 'the best thing we have ever done.'

Why Michael chose Pembroke, Tenby, Saundersfoot & The South Coast

We bought our Chalet, having stayed in one the year before. We loved the closeness of the beach being only a 5 minute walk. One of the best things, was to be able to walk along one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen after our evening meal.

Our holiday chalet is also our holiday home, we pride ourselves on providing those little homely touches often missed on more 'mass market' accommodation.

We have been coming back to Pembrokeshire for 5 years now, are are still discovering new attractions, beaches etc.

We love spending time in the area with our 3 children and stay at our chalet as often as we can. In this way we feel we never loose touch with the area or our property, and always have a personal interest in making it a comfortable and enjoyable base for a family holiday.

What makes this chalet unique

Only a 5 minute walk from one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen. On site facilities such as 'the Longhouse' a pub/ restaurant, also small shop which caters for beach gear and very basic grocery essentials.

The Chalet is a proper 2 story little house, offering far more flexibility of space and comfort then any static caravan. It is fantastic to be able to lie in bed at night and listen to the waves on the beach.

As far as we are aware, this is the only Holiday Home Park that has access right onto the beach with the exception of one Caravan Park which is more than twice the price.

Notes:
Outside: There are well kept communal grounds around the chalet, which guests and their children are welcome to use and play in. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property is thoroughly cleaned after each guest. Bed linen can be provided for an extra cost of £15 if requested, otherwise guests need to bring their own sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers. We do not provide tea towels or towels.

Fabulous Stay

Myself, my husband and our 2 small children recently spent a fabulous week in this wonderful house. The booking process was straightforward and simple, and Sarah was extremely helpful from start to finish. The house is lovely. It's very clean is fully equipped with everything you could need, and is in a great location to explore the area from. Even the babies were well catered for with the stair gate and the travel cot provided and Jack loved being able to choose if he slept in the top or the bottom bunk each night. I was pleasantly surprised at how warm the house was without having to keep the heaters on for any length of time, and the houses either side being empty when we stayed.

The site is clean and well maintained, and the food in the on site bar is very good. The Tudor Lodge Inn just down the road in Lamphey is divine with generous portions. Freshwater East beach is a big clean beach, and great for rock pooling. It's a 5 minute walk from the house which was brilliant.

We would highly recommend this property and will certainly look to book again for our next trip to Tenby.

Clean, tidy, great location

Very close to the beach. Lovely quiet site. Staff at the 'lodge' were very helpful.

Owners of the chalet were brilliant, had thought of everything! And they were very quick to reply to any questions I had.

Will definitely be looking to visit again!

Property was very clean, modern & comfortable.

Location is great, few minutes walk from the beach. Property was clean & bright with good facilities on the whole. Missed having chairs to sit outside as the weather was lovely! Could have done wirh a few more tumblers & freezer part of fridge was full of defrosted food as it was turned off. Perhaps the cleaners could turn the fridge on ready for guests arrival. We did think a shower mat would be useful to step out on as floor was slippy, maybe mention that guests should bring one with them with towels. The real attraction of this property is the location in such a pretty part of Pembrokeshire.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review. I will certainly replace the tumblers when we are next up in a couple of weeks as I didn't realise we were getting short. I will certainly speak to our cleaner about the defrosted food in the freezer. This would have been a over sight for once on her part as she takes such a pride in the turn out of the chalet, I have never known her to miss anything before. The provision of outside chairs is, I am sure you can see, an impossibility , as there is simply nowhere to store them in the chalet. I don't provide bath mats as research proves that they harbour bacteria, which, obviously, in a holiday let can be passed onto the next person. We have not had one guest in 8 years of having the chalet who has felt the lack of a bath mat, however, it may be worth a mention in the future.

Lovely little base for exploring the beautiful Welsh coast

We had a really lovely short break staying at this chalet. We only stayed 3 nights but wish it had been longer. The chalet is extremely well located, just a couple of minutes walk from the beach, sand dunes and the coastal path going in both directions. The chalet itself is warm, well equipped, and modern with and sea themed soft furnishings. The car parking spot is only about 5m from the front door so bettee situated than some of the other plots. The shower is lovely and hot and double bed comfortable (we didn't use the other beds). The open plan wooden floor living room/kitchen was well suited to our almost-crawling 8 month old to explore. Sarah was a great 'host', quick to reply to emails and texts and providing lots of useful information on good local pubs and areas to visit. The Longhouse pub/cafe at the entrance to the holiday park serves great food and coffee (would highly recommend their speciality cream tea with poppyeed scone and thursday night indian buffet), friendly and laid back. We would recommend staying here and certainly hope to return one day. Thank you!

Wonderful home from home

We had a wonderful time staying at Fresh Water East. The holiday home was perfect for a seaside break. The information provided by Sarah (Owner) was very helpful and put our mind at rest. The local beach is amazing and the location is perfect for travelling around pembroke. Very clean, well equipped. We will be coming back.

Location

Car: necessary

Coast/Beach:

The Chalet has the enviable position of providing beach side accommodation. A five minute walk has you standing on one of the most beautiful and tranquil beaches the area has to offer. The beach provides a half mile stretch of clean, unspoilt sand, perfect for children of all ages.

A freshwater stream runs along the path to the beach and into the sea, hence the name of Freshwater East.

Freshwater East Bay provides an excellent environment for all water sports.

It has its own slipway.

Travel:

Location is the key to this property. Pembroke is a short 4 miles away, and can cater for your needs with a variety of shops from a big Tescos to more gifty types of shops. Pembroke Castle is well worth a visit.

Tenby with its old walled town, beautiful beaches and brightly coloured houses is only a 9 mile drive away.

The Pembrokeshire Way passes through Freshwater East, with the Coastal Cruiser buses picking up and dropping off several times a day.

Booking Notes:
There is a £100 deposit on booking, which is deducted from your final payment. The final payment must be paid in full at least 1 month prior to the start of your holiday. For late bookings, we ask for full payment in cash or by bank transfer.
We will arrange with you, where and how to collect the keys on booking.
There is a £50 administration fee payable on collection of the keys. This is fully refundable at the end of your stay, provided the keys

Changeover Day:
We operate on a Saturday to Saturday let. We respectively ask guests to vacate the chalet by 10am to enable the cleaner to prepare it for the next guests to arrive at 2pm.
We will arrange with you, where and how to collect the keys on booking.

Notes on prices:
Mid week breaks available for approximately £40 per night, school term times only.
Weekend breaks, approximately £50 per night, again, school term times only.
Bed linen available for an extra £15.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
