Penthouse in St. Lawrence Gap, Christ Church, Barbados, Caribbean - The Penthouse Is Atop A Five Story Condo Set In Tropical Gardens With Swimming Pool And On The Beach

The Penthouse enjoys spectacular views of the Ocean from the privacy peace and tranquility of the balcony which has its own plunge pool, sunbathing area and shaded area for reading and dining. The balcony can be accessed by French doors from the Master Bedroom which enjoys panoramic views of the Ocean and by sliding doors from the Sitting Room. The property is set in serene relaxing tropical gardens which has its own swimming pool and relaxation area screened from but adjoining the beach which is secluded, quiet and peaceful where you can stroll a few steps to the Ocean and may be joined by the turtles. Swim or stroll around the headland to Dover beach for water sports; including jet skis, surfing, sailing, fishing, windsurfing. From the balcony at the front of the Penthouse, you can view St. Lawrence Gap and sit and watch the World go by or meander along the Gap with its bars, shops and restaurants. There is always plenty to do or just make yourself busy doing absolutely nothing.

We are British and trust you will have a marvelous time in our beautiful apartment, upon an Island which will capture your heart. The Penthouse has breathtaking views of the ocean where you can swim with the turtles. It is set in a small exclusive select building in its own private manicured gardens with access to a lovely quiet beach.

You will return we are certain.

We have arranged for our guests to be met and greeted on arrival and shown around the Penthouse and you will have a personal contact locally during your stay should you have any questions or queries.

Thank you for letting us stay at your condo, Mistle Cove, in Barbados... It was absolutely beautiful..The view of the Caribbean from the balcony was breath taking. We had a fantastic time in Barbados sightseeing, and trying to see everything we could in the week we were there...The people were very friendly and helpful. Barbados is a beautiful island, and of all the islands I have been to, I would have to say Barbados is the best..We will definitely be making a return visit to Barbados, and hopefully we will be able to stay at your condo..Again, thank you for letting us rent your condo..(California, USA)

Great location but

Great location right on the gap everything on hand

we have been to Barbados about 6 times so I know about locations

now the apartment is great value considering it does sleep 6

you do get noise late at night from the gap but we was ok in the master suite but the other bedrooms you could hear it quite clearly it could go on till aprrox 3am

The apartment is spacious lovely views over the sea great balcony but the sun loungers definitely need replacing we would not lie on them looked grotty also the living room settees was also a little grotty did not help they were made of a velour material so people had sat on them in wet costumes and sun lotion they would be better with something with covers that could be washed and replace also the apaetment was just a little tired everywhere and needed a lick of paint and a good clean

Sorry for the negatives but this did not spoil our holiday we did enjoy our stay in the apartment loads of room as we normally book room only hope this helps

A Little Bit of Paradise!

This was my first time in Barbados and certainly not to be my last. The apartment is in a perfect location with fabulous sea views with bars and restaurants just behind, however the noise from the bars certainly did not affect us and added to the atmosphere of the area. Initially the pump on the plunge pool was not working but Jobi addressed this very efficiently and it did not impact on our stay. Jobi is a bit of a gem - very friendly and more than happy to help with any of our numerous enquiries. Nothing felt like too much trouble. Jobi arranged for us to spend a day with 'Big Apple' who took us around the island and visit places off the beaten track that we would not have found ourselves. The apartment itself is a lot larger than appears on the photos and the 6 of us did not feel overcrowded. We were lucky enough to have turtles coming up in the beach nightly to lay their eggs - an experience never to be forgotten. I now need to return later on in the year to witness these hatchlings making their way to the sea.

Spacious with amazing views of the carribean ocean!

The penthouse was exactly what we were looking for to accommodate our family of six. Loved the views from our balcony and master bedroom! The beach front is spectacular! We felt like we had our own private beach. Shopping, restaurants and bars within walking distance. We had a great time!

Lovely Penthouse and really helpful Staff .

We stayed here for a week and have nothing to say but "Wow"

We've stayed many times in The Gap in both hotels and private rentals but this apartment is up with the best . Jobi was there to meet and greet us and the welcome pack was a really nice touch . The cleaning lady was also very pleasant and a pleasure to meet . The balcony plunge pool was an absolute godsend as it was hotter than usual . The penthouse in general is massive and was a a little lost on us as there were only us two but if you want space and lots of it then this is your place . We loved it and we will certainly be in touch to return . I just wish there had been availability for the end of November for Independence for our next trip as we've had to book elsewhere and we've now been spoiled .

Fabulous apartment in perfect location

We were all delighted with the penthouse apartment. It is very well equipped with thankfully efficient air conditioning. The location is perfect overlooking a lovely quiet beach but close to the bars and restaurants of St Lawrence Gap - we particularly recommend Beach One next door.

The only negative I can think of is that we only booked it for one week and we so didn't want to leave!

Home from home in a great location

We spent 11 nights in this apartment and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Everything was exactly as described on the Internet and everything ran smoothly from being collected at the airport right through to the end of our holiday. Jobi was waiting for us on our arrival at the apartment and explained everything we needed to know. She also organised car hire for us and was available for any queries we had. The housekeeper was always cheerful and laughing, so happy in her job. The location had everything we needed close by and having explored the rest of the island, we were always glad to come back to our little bit of paradise. Most of our time in the apartment was spent on the patio, enjoying the views and the sound of the sea. We only used the main bedroom, so were not bothered by the music from across the road, although the crashing of the waves at night sometimes warranted the use of earplugs! The starter food pack was a nice touch and as it was my birthday during our stay, the birthday card was a nice surprise. The only complaint I would make is new sun beds required! What we liked most about this apartment was that it felt like home and not just any rental apartment.

We have owned the property for many years. Barbados is a relatively small Island, approximately 21 miles by 14 and we have explored every Parish. All the Parishes have Saints names, save for Christchurch. Some call Barbados "Little England" because of the close ties between the Countries, particularly cricket, horse racing and polo! Barbados still has many British traits as it appears to have held on to the "Best of British" with its magnificent Police Force, Democracy and Judicial System There is much fun to be had; on the ocean - learn to swim, dive, scuba, surf, windsurf, sail, fish by catamaran or fishing boat. In the air exploring by Helicopter or Island Hopping by Plane. Perfect for a secluded romantic Honeymoon or party with friends as the apartment easily sleeps six.

Full details of numerous activities available are detailed in the Penthouse. They include; Swimming, surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, sightseeing, planned tours, golf, cricket, horse racing/riding, polo, shooting, fishing, deep sea fishing, Island Hopping. There are Museums, Tropical Gardens, Historic Treasures, Dinner Shows, Nightclubs, bars, beach bars, all manner of restaurants with local and/or international cuisine or specialties to suit every pocket. Each month there are National Activities such as the Music Festivals and the Annual Barbados Jazz Festival in January, Cultural Festivals each month, music and drama. The famous Oistins Fish Fry each Friday, Film Festivals, Pan Festival in June, Crop Over Festival in July, Hike Barbados, Culinary Arts, Volleyball, The Barbados Kennel Club Dog Show in October, Independence Lighting Ceremony in November and Christmas in Barbados with its beautiful houses and streets festooned with Christmas lights and Santa on a Jet Ski.


As in the Ins and Outs of Barbados-Barbados is surrounded by over 70 miles of glorious, palm-fringed, white sand beaches, warm, sparkling clear waters in just about every shade of blue imaginable with a year round climate that is as close to perfection as you can get. The South Coast has small to medium waves - good dive sites and excellent wind and kite surfing conditions. The South West and West excellent for swimming and snorkeling as at the Penthouse and the East Coast for seasoned surfers


Grantley Adams International Airport is approx 15 mins by road to the Apartment. Taxi s to and from the Airport can be arranged on your behalf as can car hire. There are excellent taxi and public transport services around the Island and reasonable prices for car hire if that is preferred. Driving is on the left hand side of the road and the roads are rather bumpy in places


All sight seeing tours and places of interest are within easy reach as the Island is only 21 miles by 14. Island Tours provide an insight to the whole of the Island, with its interesting geology and lush green heart. There are directions and maps at the Penthouse if you prefer to explore alone and, taking the sensible precautions you would at home, the Island is very safe and well policed. You will have a Representative to talk to for any questions you may have.

Further Details:

There are International Banks within walking distance of the Penthouse, which are open usual banking hours and service tills at the Banks. There is a Convenience Store just next door and two Supermarkets to choose from within two miles being Trimart and the Big B. There are numerous bars, restaurants and tourist shops and stalls within walking distance, a barber's shop hairdresser and nail bar close by. Taxis can be hired throughout the day along the Gap and of course telephone orders can be made for fast food delivery - although in Barbados "fast food" is a little more relaxed. There are numerous malls and clothing shops all round the Island and the big International Stores in Bridgetown.

The Penthouse is wonderful and the view of the Ocean from the Master Bedroom, Balcony (and from the sitting room and kitchen for that matter) is truly breathtaking. To sit on the balcony for breakfast watching the world go by with the little birds coming to inquire is nothing less than paradise. The balcony has its its own plunge pool to cool off or float in the sun. Sunrise and Sunset are magnificent. The Ocean sparkles with different shades and the turtles bob their heads in acknowledgment. The tranquility is wonderful but this is St. Lawrence Gap and should one wish to party there is no end of entertainment in this fun and happy part of Barbados with beautiful restaurants pubs and bars within walking distance of the Penthouse. The very best of both worlds. Honeymoon or party!

  • Notes on accommodation: The property is accessed off St. Lawrence Gap through electric coded gates and a coded pedestrian gate to the large drive at the front of the property. There is plenty of parking space and a gated coded entry to the building itself which enjoys both a stairwell and a lift. The Penthouse is a large airy property furnished in a Bajan style and has air conditioning but in line with eco friendly policies the air conditioning should not be switched on during the day or when vacating the property. Open plan and balcony and front door allow the breeze right through. The balcony has its own exclusive private plunge pool The telephone may be used freely and free of charge for local calls and the property enjoys a fast Internet service. There is a hairdryer and straighteners in the Master Bathroom and a safe in bedroom two Voltage: 110-120 Volts (Same as U.S./Canada, most other areas are 220-240 Volts). You will need a plug adapter for your own equipment. Outside: The Penthouse balcony has its own private plunge pool which is cleaned and serviced regularly. The balcony is equipped with a dining table and chairs and sun loungers. The tropical beautifully manicured and private gardens outside have several sun loungers, a table, chairs, umbrella and a communal swimming pool which is cleaned and serviced three times per week and heated by the tropical sun. The Penthouse is atop a beautiful exclusive small elite and private building with only fourteen condos in total. Access to the sandy beach which appears to be its very own cove is by two steps through arched palmtrees. Utility Room: The Utility room has a Belfast Washing Sink, Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer, Storage Cupboards, Iron, Ironing Board Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The is a large linen cupboard with bed linen, blankets, towels, including bath and beach towels. There is a maid service when the Penthouse will be thoroughly cleaned, beds changed and all linen and towels laundered. Additional if required but charged. Other: The large open dining room has a beautiful large wooden dining table and chairs for six with two carvers, a sideboard with drawers and storage, music stereo and telephone wireless internet. Plunge whirlpool is serviced regularly.
