This homely apartment is perfect for a couple or family wishing to spend a peaceful and tranquil holiday. Located in a well looked after complex that is only a few minutes walk to the beach, bars, restaurants and amenities. The apartment is situated on the 1st floor and has wonderful views from the living room and spacious balcony. Apartments Caleton Blanco is a popular complex and very well maintained with established gardens. Steps within the complex have direct access to the main beach road 'Avenida de las Playas' that runs along the whole of the resort of Puerto del Carmen.

We stayed at this apartment from 28/08/14 to 04/09/14. Everything was fantastic and was ideal for a lazy week in the sun. The apartment was as described, in a quiet complex yet literally minutes from the beach, bars and restaurants. Very safe with secure entry. The apt. facilities provide just about all you need and is very clean. The balcony is very large and private with great views of the sea. It is also a sun trap and enjoys sunshine from early morning until evening. The pool area is spotless and the guy who works on site does a great job of keeping it that way. When we were there was never more than a dozen people round the pool therefore it was easy to get a sunbed. However, I must say the apartment balcony really can't be beaten for sunbathing.

All in all, we will definitely return here in future. If I was being picky then the apt would benefit from having wifi and also some decent tv channels. However, we don't go on holiday to watch tv so it's not a big issue.

Travel:

Arrecife airport is only 10-15 minutes away from the apartment so car hire isn't necessary.

Distances:

The centre of Puerto del Carmen is only a 3 minute walk from the apartment.

Lanzarote is a small island so all sites are easily accessible. Car hire companies have maps with recommended routes, or you could just explore on your own. Arrecife is the city and has the main shopping areas. It is about 15 minutes on the bus. The Biosphera shopping centre in the old town and has lots of shops and cafes, together with a children's play area and mini golf.

Further Details:

The nearest shop to the apartment is a few minutes away, it sells most goods together with English newspapers. The Lidl supermarket is only 10 minute walk and local Spar supermarkets are good value and stock a large variety of products. There are several banks and cash points along the main beach road, together with many other shops.

This is a great area for cycling,running and walking. The Iron Man contest is held here every year.

Lanzarote offers a large selctions of water sports and many other activities.

A variety of bicycles, from single to family cycles, can be hired locally and there are plenty of cycle tracks.

For the more leisurely holiday maker, boat and coach trips are plentiful.

Children will love Rancho Texas,an open zoo with lots of activities,and it is within walking distance of the apartment.

Puerto del Carmen has lots of good restaurants serving food from many countries. You wont have to travel far from the apartment to find a tasty meal.

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment is situated withing a secure gated complex, it has two entrance gates only accessible to residents, this also makes it safe for children as they cannot wander off. Outside: Caleton Blanco apartments are set in well maintained gardens containing shrubs and palm trees. The pool large pool ranges from 1.80m to 2.20m in depth, the children's pool is 5m x 4.5m as is 60cm in depth. There is a toilet and communal showers by the pool side, handy to wash the sand off your feet after a trip to the beach. The pool terrace has plenty of sun beds to relax on after a dip in the pool. The apartment balcony is a lovely area to enjoy outdoor meals or to just relax and sunbathe whilst enjoying the wonderful sea views. The balcony also has an airer for drying your washing. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is cleaned once per week on arrival, a double set of towels will be left for each person. If you are holidaying with us for longer the apartment will be cleaned and a change of sheets and towels provided at the start of each week. Other: The terrace has a patio table with 4 chairs, parasol, 2 sun beds with cushions
