2 bed, 2 bath Penthouse duplex apartment with spectacular views over the sea/ocean and the Old Town. In a most enviable location, elevated on the edge of the Old Town you get the views 'to die for' without the climb up and down to the town and beach which are just a ride away on the outside escalator a few metres from the apartment block. So after a hard day sunbathing on the beach, shopping, or just exploring the Old Town, or after a relaxing evening in one of the dozens of restaurants, your penthouse apartment is just an escalator ride away. (No taxis required). But if even that sounds too energetic why not while the day away around the pool and then retreat to one of your balconies for sundowners and a romantic 'alfresco' meal taking in the truly spectacular views at dusk.

Superb Apartment

We booked Keith's beautiful apartment for 10 days. I had never booked directly before and Keith was brilliant, he responded immediately and professionally to any questions that I had. Just before travelling, Keith gave me the contact details of Steve who would meet us at the apartment on arrival. Steve was waiting for us with a cheery smile, showed us the ropes and gave us some tips on good places to eat etc. The apartment was top notch, the location was superb overlooking Fisherman's beach with views to die for, perfectly situated for a holiday exploring the Old Town. We truly could not have asked for any better. The apartment was spacious and airy, the aircon was great and there was everything you could need facility wise and more- even things like beach mats, cool box, beach umbrellas, hairdryers, loads of books in a book case (I read a couple and left one there too!) Large flat screen TV and wifi. The apartment was spotlessly clean too. I also found the fact that the apartment had a bedroom and bathroom upstairs really good as it gave my son and his girlfriend a little more privacy. There was a small safe to put valuables in which was useful. The pool was quiet and just a few steps down from the apartment which was perfect. The only one tiny thing I could have done with in the apartment was a small freezer as we just had the small compartment within the fridge. It would have been handy to put ice creams in and my husband likes to virtually freeze his drinks in hot weather but just a small point really as we managed. Thank you so much Keith for allowing us to use your property, it really was home from home and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to any friend or family. I really do hope to return again in the future.

This was our third visit to this apartment as always it was clean and tidy,well equipped with every single thing you could want, a washer easy to use, iron etc it was like being in your own home but with added sunshine, will defo be going back because of the friendly service from Steve and Debbie who do your meet and greet and the professional way it is all arranged by Keith, hope to see you all soon Kim & Michael Taylor. Superb Easter Break

Thanks for a great holiday in your apartment Keith. From our initial enquiry last year to arriving home you couldn't have been more helpful.

The apartment was everything we'd hoped for and more. Fantastic location with sea view and only a minutes stroll to the old town with great restaurants, bars and shops.

Steve met us on arrival and was very informative and helpful. The apartment was spotless and very well equipped. This trip was a special treat for my wife for putting up with 25 years of being married to me and it couldn't have gone any better.

Hope to return again very soon.

Brilliant apartment Location, location, location!

The views are to die for especially at sunset on the balcony drinking a few glasses of Baileys!!!! (not wine Keith( This was the 2nd time we stayed in this fabulous apartment. We could not fault this apartment or communication via Steve and Keith. Keith has been just brilliant regarding communication regarding booking, customer service etc. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked for 2016 and we are only home since 13/09/15 (but contacted Keith during our holiday from 3/9/15 - 13/09/15).The location is wonderful and easy to access the Old Town square and everything it has to offer. The apartment was very clean, very well maintained and comfortable and has has all the amenities that would would need for a self-catering holiday - even DVDs to watch! The property was found to be better than advertised. We especially benefited from the availability of WiFi within the apartment. Furthermore, the air-conditioning was just brill both in living room and bedrooms. We would recommend this property to family and friends. Can't wait until we go back to Albufeira and this property next year.

An apartment home from home

This was our second stay at this apartment, we stayed here two years ago. The apartment has everything you need for a holiday away. The beach is on the doorstep and the old town is just as near. As everything is so close by it is perfect for going back at lunchtime for a break from the sun, then going out in the evening. The rooms are really spacious and the kitchen has everything you need for if you want to cook. we alternated cooking and dining out to keep costs down. Lidl and Aldi are a taxi away, or the local large Supermarket is about a 15 min walk away. There is a huge choice of restaurants to choose from and boat trips galore. We caught a bus to Faro and Vilamora. Would recommend to anyone.

Faultless

Perfect location for the old town and beach. Apartment had everything you could possibly need. Pool area lovely .Family holiday with our 2 sons aged 21 and 19. lots of lively entertainment for them and no need for taxis home, a quick ride up the escalator and they were back at the apartment. Would recommend to anyone.

Coast/Beach:

The apartment is 2 minutes stroll from the famous Fishermans Beach, the heart of Albufeira. Felesia beach to the east and Sao Rafael beach to the west are rated among the best in Europe. Many beaches have bars or restaurants on them ranging from informal open bars to sophisticated air-conditioned top quality restaurants. The Algarve beaches truly have something for everyone.

Travel:

Faro airport is 40 minute away. A car is not necessary as the beach and Old Town are on the door step. A novelty Road Train stops near the apartment and runs a circuit around the town including the 'Strip' area of clubs, bars and restaurants, away from the main Old Town. There is also an open top bus which circuits the town regularly in the summer. Taxis are plentiful and reasonable value, rank nearby.

Further Details:

Whilst no car is necessary, as everything for a great holiday is on the door step, there are many attractions, both natural and man-made along the Algarve coast to explore. Car hire is reasonably priced, (recommend shopping around), and there is a garage space included, so for those who want to explore further afield its easy to achieve.

  • Notes on accommodation: We have recently re-decorated, new artwork, sofas, outdoor furniture, some general up-dating. It retains its homely traditional style but benefits from modern appliances, Sony flat screen TV, renewed air-con units, refitted kitchen and is a comfortable 'home from home' & the location, and the resulting views, can not be over stated or exaggerated! The pool and garage are rare amenities in Old Town due to its 'compact' nature. Fine for couples and families alike (parents should satisfy themselves the balconies are suitable if they have young children). ** :- In spring '14 the satellite providing UK TV to Southern Europe ( France, Spain, Portugal etc) was 'switched off'. We have invested in Internet 'Streaming' technology and upgraded our wifi to 'unlimited' ( it's now free to guests, previously PAYG), to receive UK TV via the Internet. This system is inherently 'fragile' so we can not guarantee continuous UK TV. We apologise for this, but the cause is beyond our control. Outside: The duplex apartment has balconies both upstairs and down, to both bedrooms and the lounge/diner, suitable outdoor furniture is provided. There is a shared pool and sun deck with panoramic views over the ocean & Old Town. Near the pool is a small garden area with shady trees and shrubs ideal for a quiet read between dips in the pool or to cool off in the heat of the day. There is a sun terrace available at each end of the apartment block. (The pool has a deep and shallow end and currently has no depth markers). Utility Room: Utility cupboard with washing machine, electric hot water boiler, water softener, ironing board, iron, broom etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included, changed weekly. Interim cleaning by arrangement. Beach towels are included for use at pool or beach. Other: The apartment has 4 lightweight sunloungers for use on the balconies, terraces or pool (If pool ones occupied). Also 4 beach mats, cool box & hairdryer. The apartment is a non-smoking property, however smoking outside on the balconies is permitted.
