About the Owner

We are a young (ish!) English / Australian couple with two young very active boys. We have just moved to Shanghai, China after having lived in Mumbai in India. Both of us are teachers and work at a British School here in Shanghai. We usually spend our holiday in our holiday home in France.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed in the courtyard cottage for our summer holiday and had a superb time. Beautifully renovated accommodation with an excellent outside secluded space. A quiet and peaceful location which is just perfect to 'get away from it all'. A short drive to the local lake for swimming and only 45minutes from the beach. Plenty of garden space around the cottage to relax and play a game of badminton as well. Would certainly recommend a stay here.

Bonita casa para dos personas ubicada en un entorno rural y tranquilo.

  • 4 of 5

Charming and peaceful cottage

  • 5 of 5

We definitely had a wonderful time at Courtyard Cottage. The cottage is well equipped, clean and cosy. The owners are nice, helpful and welcoming but they never step on your privacy. We found a lot of brochures and touristic leaflets in the cottage that helped us plan our trips, since the cottage is ideally placed in the centre of Brittany to visit lots of different places.

We would definitely recommend this renting to a friend.

From the Owner

We love the area of Seglien. The village itself is very quiet and peaceful. Being in central Brittany we find it is ideal for day visits to the coast. On the other hand, it is really nice to while away the afternoon walking around the village. Lac Geurdelan is a great place where we enjoy sitting in the sun and swimming in the lake. There is also a very enjoyable lakeside walk through the woods surrounding the Lake. From the village, there are a number of walks beside the river scorff.

From the Owner

Absolute peace and quiet. With 2 young boys and working full time, we ''escape' to Seglien for total relaxation. We love being in the village to practice French with the neighbours but also for the convenience of the local amenities and croissant! We have no internet access, no satellite TV, and at times limited signal on the mobile - its wonderful. We hope our guests enjoy the same R and R we do when in Seglien.
