About the property

Guest House in Canada del Trigo, Jumilla, Murcia, Costa Calida, Spain - Set Amongst A Back Drop Of Olive And Almond Trees That Gives You The Feeling Of 'real Spain'.

The Olive Tree country Guest House is a nineteenth century converted farmhouse nestling at the foot of the hills of the Sierra de la Pila Nature Reserve on the outskirts of Pinoso in rural Spain. The accommodation has undergone a dramatic conversion process over a five year period to ensure that the rustic charm of the farmhouse has been preserved alongside the addition of contemporary creature comforts. If you are looking for a 'Real Spanish experience' away from the usual package tour trappings, then The Olive Tree is for you. Ideal for walkers, artists, twitchers and romantics. Whatever type of holiday you require we will do our best to ensure it is an experience you will want to repeat.

About Jennifer Hilda Lock

I am 65 years old and was born in Birmingham UK. I moved to Spain twelve years ago when I purchased a small property near Torreveija. After six years on the coast I moved into the countryside "Real Spain".

It was love at first sight when I first set eyes on the old run down farmhouse nestling at the foot of the Sierra de la Pilar Mountains and Nature Reserve. Romanced by the idea of sharing this with others we renovated the house and today I am the proud owner of a lovely Bed and Breakfast Guest House. We have lots of almond trees and an olive tree and I called it "The Olive Tree" after my late mother.

Check us out on ITV. We, (The Olive Tree and myself)are featured on "May the Best House Win" on Sunday 21st April at 11.30am ITV

Why Jennifer Hilda Lock chose Murcia - Costa Calida

"It was love at first sight when I saw the old farmhouse five years ago and I was further romanced by the idea of Spanish country living. When I purchased the property, the upper floor of The Olive Tree was one enormous room with a high beam ceiling, which had previously been used as a food store. Evidence of troughs, animal stalls and large metal hooks still existed in some of the ground floor rooms where cattle, hens and pigs had been housed. The vision of turning the 19th century farmhouse into a country retreat where others could also experience a nugget of delightful country living spurred me on to refurbish the property and open its doors to those who would appreciate a taste of traditional and 'real' Spain.”

What makes this chateau / country house unique

Although The Olive Tree is located in rural Spain it is only 45 mins drive from Alicante Airport. Murcia City is only 25 mins drive away.

Beach packs are available for guests wanting to spend days on the beach. Benidorm being only an hours drive away.

There are also many shops, restaurants and facilities within 15 mins drive in the towns of Pinoso and Alguena as well as restaurants and bodegas within easy walking distance.

The Sierra de la Pilar mountain range is on our doorstep together with other fantastic mountain ranges making it ideal for walkers, climbers and twitchers.

All our rooms have stunning views and ensuites. Other facilities include; Wifi, TV in the guest sitting room, Indoor and outside dining; honesty bar in the snug; Outside: pool with swim up bar.

FANTASTIC STAY I AM DEFINITELY RETURNING. JENNY IS SO FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING. NOTHING IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE. A REAL HOME FROM HOME EXPERIENCE IN RURAL SPAIN AND YET CLOSE ENOUGH TO NEIGHBOURING VILLAGES WITH CAFÉS/RESTAURANTS IF YOU NEED THEM. JENNY WORKS HARD TO GIVE HER GUESTS THAT LITTLE EXTRA, BE IT YOGA CLASSES, LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT, FRUIT PICKING, SHE EVEN KNOWS WHERE LOCAL CHARITY SHOPS ARE!

A SUPERB RELAXED HOSTESS WHO TREATS HER GUESTS AS MEMBERS OF HER FAMILY. EXCELLENT HOLIDAY SINCERE THANKS
