About the Owner

I am 65 years old and was born in Birmingham UK. I moved to Spain twelve years ago when I purchased a small property near Torreveija. After six years on the coast I moved into the countryside "Real Spain".

It was love at first sight when I first set eyes on the old run down farmhouse nestling at the foot of the Sierra de la Pilar Mountains and Nature Reserve. Romanced by the idea of sharing this with others we renovated the house and today I am the proud owner of a lovely Bed and Breakfast Guest House. We have lots of almond trees and an olive tree and I called it "The Olive Tree" after my late mother.

Check us out on ITV. We, (The Olive Tree and myself)are featured on "May the Best House Win" on Sunday 21st April at 11.30am ITV

FANTASTIC STAY I AM DEFINITELY RETURNING. JENNY IS SO FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING. NOTHING IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE. A REAL HOME FROM HOME EXPERIENCE IN RURAL SPAIN AND YET CLOSE ENOUGH TO NEIGHBOURING VILLAGES WITH CAFÉS/RESTAURANTS IF YOU NEED THEM. JENNY WORKS HARD TO GIVE HER GUESTS THAT LITTLE EXTRA, BE IT YOGA CLASSES, LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT, FRUIT PICKING, SHE EVEN KNOWS WHERE LOCAL CHARITY SHOPS ARE!

A SUPERB RELAXED HOSTESS WHO TREATS HER GUESTS AS MEMBERS OF HER FAMILY. EXCELLENT HOLIDAY SINCERE THANKS

Location

From the Owner

"It was love at first sight when I saw the old farmhouse five years ago and I was further romanced by the idea of Spanish country living. When I purchased the property, the upper floor of The Olive Tree was one enormous room with a high beam ceiling, which had previously been used as a food store. Evidence of troughs, animal stalls and large metal hooks still existed in some of the ground floor rooms where cattle, hens and pigs had been housed. The vision of turning the 19th century farmhouse into a country retreat where others could also experience a nugget of delightful country living spurred me on to refurbish the property and open its doors to those who would appreciate a taste of traditional and 'real' Spain.”
