Situated on the outskirts of Saint Malo on the Emerald Coast, this 4 bedroom house (sleeps 6) is in a quiet residential area, just a short walk to the beach and shops. Restaurants, bars and market are within easy reach. You will enjoy visiting the ancient walled city and other nearby places from quaint Cancale harbour with its many seafood restaurants to Mont Saint Michel which is only 38 kms/24 miles away. Other popular destinations including Dinan, Dinard and Rennes are all within easy reach. Our local sandy beach ‘Le Minihic’ is only 100 metres away. Walkers will enjoy miles of beautiful rugged coastal cliff paths and there are numerous sporting activities in the area including swimming, sailing, wind surfing, surfing and blow carting. You can also visit Saint Malo’s aquarium, historical houses, chateaux or take a day trip on the old sailing ship ‘La Bisquine’.

We are a bilingual family who enjoy returning to Saint Malo regularly for a bit of sea, sun and a lot of 'farniente' (the art of doing nothing). We love the old city, the beach, the markets, the food and never tire of the lovely coastal walks. If you're not familiar with the area, you'll find that there is plenty to do, to please both the grown-ups and the youngsters alike. We do hope you enjoy your stay in the area. Bonnes Vacances!

Utility Room: The utility room is on the ground floor and includes a sink, washing machine, clothes dryer, ironing board and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen : All beds have mid-season duvets. Bed linen is not included but is available on request and for an added fee (£20 per person).

An excellent house in a great area.

We (2 adults + 2 teenagers) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house - it's ideally located for the beach (literally at the end of the road) and has excellent amenities nearby (supermarket round the corner). It's also very convenient for the walled city via a short bus ride from the bottom of the road or a 30-40 minute walk. The house itself is very comfortable and well appointed and I can't speak highly enough of the owner's customer service and general approach. I'd have no hesitation in renting the house again or recommending it.

Fabulous location with great facilities

I stayed here in July this year with my 8 year old son and 70 year old parents for a week - we had a fabulous time. The house and it's fabulous location was perfect for our needs. The cooking/BBQ facilities meant that we only ate out once in the evening as we enjoyed dinner at home in the garden before watching the tide crash in and the sun set from the beach at the bottom of the road. A decent sized supermarket is located within 5 mins walking distance with a bakery next door. We walked to St Malo one morning (30-45 mins depending on how fast you walk) and caught the bus back (Number 8 buses run every 40 mins from outside the Tourist Office to a stop a few metres from the bottom of the road). We had a fabulous Thursday in Dinard at the market (buying things we hadn't realised we needed!) and a lovely lunch at Bar Rock Cafe - the drive to Dinard is approx 20 mins. We had a couple more trips into St Malo by car (the parking was very reasonable and easy) as my son loved the crepes at La Licorne in Place Chateaubriand and we loved the macarons! The beach at the bottom of the road is lovely golden sand - the tide goes out approx 300m and the waves can be amazing when it returns to the coast. I would highly recommend this house as it was furnished perfectly, the views to the sea and the sunset from the balcony were lovely and there was plenty of space.

Nice House in a great location

The house is literally across the road from a nice beach which was lovely when the sun was out but also great for early morning runs to the walled city (as long as the tide was out). There are places to eat within walking distance but we either turned left and drove to the intra muros and Dinard or right to Cancale. Super market with bakery is a 3 minute walk and there is a market close by. Lots do do within an easy drive. House was perfect for our family of five, good French feel which is often missing these days. Our favourite rental from Owners Direct, we hope to come back.
