The Courtyard accommodation offers bright, clean, contemporary styling. In this arts and crafts property there are some period features such as high ceilings and large windows, dating back to Edwardian times. Located in the village area of the private island, as a guest you can enjoy the communal heated outdoor pool ( available 30th April - October 1st) Beaches, sunbathing and sea swimming, Ornamental pond housing approx 1000 carp. Tennis Court, Barbeque areas, Home Farm & Wild life: donkeys, pheasants, turkeys, rabbits, owls and an abundance of bird species, Orchard & Walled garden. One can also enjoy fishing, bird watching and cycling. It's not just the destination that is unique, the journey onto the island involves crossing a tidal road built by the romans connecting Osea to the mainland. Tide charts are provided for you prior to your stay with us to help establish your arrival and departure times. Wonderful for families, romantic couples or adventurous getaway breaks.

Osea Island is privately owned and for almost a 100 years it has been a well-kept secret amongst those in the know, but now this beautiful historic island, accessible by car only during low tide, will be open to the public to enjoy as a holiday destination. Be amongst the first to experience this well protected haven, just 45 miles from central London at the base of the Thames estuary. Remove the hassle and expense of long haul flights and reduce your carbon footprint by escaping to this rare and romantic gem, right here in England. And for those who are travelling from overseas let us show you how breath-taking an English coastline can be.

2 night stays are either Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday. Weekend breaks (3 nights) are Friday - Monday , Midweek Monday - Friday (4 nights) and Week bookings (7 nights) Saturday - Saturday - longer rentals are also considered.

Enclosed by four miles of beaches and coastline, privacy is guaranteed in this unspoilt marine sanctuary, with its abundant variety of wildlife and rare birds. One can walk to the coast/beach in under 5 minutes, you can in fact walk the around the whole island in just over two and a half hours.
A car is reccomended however there are numerous ways of getting onto Osea island. By Train - take the train from London Liverpool street to Witham station and then a taxi journey to the island. By car - just under two hours from london and drive over the Roman built tidal road. Of course for the less adventurous or if you miss the low tide, there is a water taxi , which can hold up to six people and that can take you across. By helicopter (Battersea 20 minutes) Nearest airport Southend 12miles

- Notes on accommodation: There is communal laundry room on the island and housekeeping can be arranged, internet access is complimentary and can be accessed in The Gamesroom a few minutes walk away. Other facilities on the island include bike hire, fishing, gyms, sauna, and The Gamesroom which hosts the table tennis, pool table and a 12 seater viewing room. Outside: Each downstairs apartment has individual garden access with garden furniture perfect for barbecues. The communal outdoor heated pool which is available at the end of April to 1st October is right next door.
