Peaceful edge of village location with stunning views from sunrise to sunset.

Convivial large open plan kitchen/dining/living area - extendable oak dining table, woodburner, oak flooring - 270 degree view balconies, automated sun/security blinds.

Bookshelves with lots of maps and local information, DVDs.

We live in Somerset in the UK and get to the chalet as often as we can in both summer and winter.
Mark has been passionate about ski touring in the area for over 20 years.

Mark found a spectacularly located cow barn with a hand painted For Sale sign on it in 2005 - 2 years later the chalet was complete.
The chalet is truly peaceful with commanding unspoiled views and just the occasional cow or deer or buzzard to distract you.
We loved this chalet and its location. It is spacious, well maintained and well equipped. The views are indeed spectacular and there are nice walks in the area. There were 12 of us including a baby and not everyone was skiing so we wanted somewhere that was within easy reach of ski stations (there are several within one hour's drive) but was comfortable and peaceful for those who were staying in. Mark's chalet in Bonvillaret worked perfectly for us. As it turned out, most of our skiing was done in Saint Francois Longchamp / Valmorel which was perfect for our grandchildren on their first skiing holiday. One of the big highlights was completing a 1500 piece jigsaw (except for the one missing piece!) which kept many of the family busy for hours on end. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to be back in the future.
Just wanted to thank you for a brilliant week at your lovely chalet. We had a great time following all of your recommendations so thank you also for all of your help. We loved Les Karellis, and the children's favourite run became Villivoue (!!!) they couldn't get up there quick enough and then found all the jumps on the way down under the chairlift! Sept Laux had amazing views and St Francois Longchamps was also good, so a varied week. The chalet was very comfortable indeed, so no doubt we will be looking to book again in the future. We had a wonderful holiday, enjoying the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains, valleys and lakes. The chalet is spacious and well equipped, with lovely views in three directions from large windows and open balconies. The property is in a quiet area, but nonetheless located within easy access of the motorway network and we enjoyed walking, swimming, cycling and sightseeing in all directions around.
We rented the chalet for Xmas and it was exactly as described and fit our family of 12 : 8 adults, 4 children.
Everything was as promised, there were no surprises.
We like the arrangement of the chalet as there was space for us all to spread out and do our own things.
We like to cook and the kitchen was well equipped so it was a real pleasure.
Despite the lack of snow we had a good time, the weather was bright and sunny so we spent a lot of time on the balcony which has an amazing view.
The environment was quite and peaceful with walking distance to the wood so we did a lot of “ballades” and the kinds were happy to see the ships and cows walking around.
Comfortable place, nice weather contribute for a very relaxing Xmas.

A really wonderful chalet. Three generations aged 71 to 1,10 people in all had plenty of space and never felt cramped.The bedrooms are all a good size and the master bedroom is lovely.We found everything very clean and well equipped.Mark[the owner] was very easy to deal with and I would have no hesitation in recommending the chalet.
It is off the usual tourist track and we had to find out what local attractions there were for ourselves.This,however ,meant everything was considerably cheaper than other areas of France we have visited.The local lakes are delightful for swimming and canoeing,bikes are really cheap to hire in Chambrey as are the nearby swimming pools.We had a beautiful meal at The 12 Clochers near Abertville but for me sitting out on the balcony with a glass of wine and watching the sun set was memorable.

Our preferred option is for you to first inquire with your dates, number of guests and any questions. Once your booking is agreed we ask for a £500 deposit by bank transfer to confirm the booking, with payment for the full rental amount due 60 days prior to arrival. Subject to inspection after departure the deposit will be returned within 14 days.
Saturday is preferred as changeover day, with guests aiming to leave by 9am and new guests arriving 5pm or after - this allows adequate time for cleaning and laundry change. The property is looked after by Guy and Gisele who live locally.
Notes on prices:
Prices will be confirmed with numbers of guests and length of stay, some people book for a month, others book for a week and then stay longer the second time!
