Apartment in Costa del Sol, Casares Costa, Spain - Within secure private urbanisation. Beautiful gardens & pools. Golf on doorstep.

Beautifully furnished air-conditioned apartment with marble floors and contemporary furniture. Being an upper penthouse it has two balcony's and a terrace on the roof for al fresco dining and sun bathing. The balcony's overlook the gardens and pools (inc toddler pool) with a beautiful backdrop of the Sierra Bermeja mountain range and the roof terrace has a view to the beach with the mountains behind you which is breathtaking both during the day and night. The penthouse also comes with a large shared pool (and smaller children's pool) and deck chairs. With 3 bedrooms that sleep 6 (two double rooms and one room with two single beds) and a large en suite and a family bathroom/shower room, this apartment is the perfect place for a golf holiday, family holiday or a romantic 'unwind' from it all break. The apartment also boasts a large living/dining room with satellite TV and a kitchen and BBQ for cooking. Full wifi throughout the apartment, an elevator to the penthouse and secure underground garage parking.

A five minute stroll brings you to the lovely bars/restaurants of Casares Golf Club. Next to this is the 5* Finca Cortesin Golf Club now home to the Volvo World Matchplay tournament. Large TV with British Sky channels. The 'real' Spain is literally on your door step with some great beach bars (chirringuitos) and both traditional and modern Spanish eateries (ventas). The rural setting of many ventas is really beautiful, and most have outdoor terraces. Alternatively, try Sabinillas beach front, or harbour-side at Puerto Duquesa for a more international feel; all are relaxed and family-friendly.

We bought our penthouse apartment here in Casares simply because the area is so beautiful and diverse. The location is peaceful and spacious, and there’s plenty to do nearby if you want to be active - beach/golf/walking/cycling/bird watching etc. If you do just want to chill – it’s fab! If you're into great food, there's so much choice from casual beach-side, international in Duquesa, Marbella and Puerto Banus, and rural ventas -traditional Spanish, including some fantastic conversions. It’s our second home so have furnished it really well; hope you enjoy it as much as we do. If you have any questions at all just call or email – we’re always happy to help.

The reason we love our apartment is because it's in a quiet area but so close to so many beautiful Spanish towns and villages. If you want a to completely unwind then this is the place for you. It's perfect if you want to totally unwind,you can laze by the pool, have a BBQ on our balcony, enjoy local restaurants and bars, walk along the beach and golf, fish or jet ski. It is the perfect independent holiday away from the 'tourist hotspots' meaning you can really relax and let go! We would recommend going to 'Casares village' if you want to be wowed by an authentic Spanish village up in the mountains. It's a 15/20 minute drive from the apartment and the drive itself is beautiful as you wind through the mountains. You will find hidden restaurants in the hills that you would never find on a package holiday so you can really experience the true Spain. Another main attraction to this apartment is the golf courses that are on your doorstep; particulately the world renowned 'Finca Cortesin'.

Just got back from a wonderful week at the apartment. We have had a great time and the pool was lovely and peaceful, the most people at any one time around the pool was about 15 and at times just us!

Great Location

This apartment is finished to a high standard and is in the perfect location to tour the Costa del Sol. Fantastic golf courses nearby, a short drive to the beautiful villages of Casares, Duquesa and Sabinalis .

Facilities are first class in the apartment (clean and fully equipped)and the surrounding gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The pool is clean, with walk in access for the less adventurous swimmers and a toddler pool to one side, plenty of loungers around the pool and never over crowded. The under apartment parking is a bonus too as it keeps the car cool and easy to access the lift to the apartment.

There is a chirongito (beach bar) at the end of the road which serves lovely food and great g&t's !!

Gibraltar is a half hour drive from this location-good for cheap tobacco and alcohol!

We had great customer care from the owners David & Kay Speedy-easy to book, and any questions answered promptly and efficiently

We are intending to return this year and would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends and family

Superb apartment

This is truly the best apartment we have stayed at in the Costa del Sol area. David and Kay were so very good to deal with and the pictures don't do it justice.

The manager Natalie was very helpful and apart from a minor hiccup with the wifi at the start of our stay it could not have been better

As well as having Lidl as the corner shop don't miss the Asian shop also on the roundabout with a stock that rivals Walmart in the USA

A fantastic holiday that went far too quickly and we hope to return for a longer stay in the future.

Fabulous apartment

Had a fantastic week here. In a lovely quiet area but just a stones throw from the beaches and numerous golf courses (2 within walking distance!) The apartment was excellent, beautiful modern furnishings, extremely comfy beds, powerful showers and spotless throughout and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. English Channel tv and very good wifi connection.

Found some very good places to eat locally and can particularly recommend La Casita which was charming with friendly staff and good typical Spanish cuisine.

Turn right out of the complex and take a trip up into the mountain to visit Casares. Beautiful white washed Spanish town built into the hills with great views...well worth a visit.

We felt very safe and secure in the apartment. Great communication with the owners when booking and we were met by a lovely lady on our arrival. Nothing seemed too much trouble.

I can highly recommend staying here. It's great beach lovers and golfers alike. In fact one of the best apartments we've ever stayed in!

superb apartment

We have stayed at this apartment every year for the last 5 years and are planning to go again at the end of May this year. The apartment is spotless and fully equipped to a very high standard. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to visit this area.

Coast/Beach:

There are many blue-flag beaches in the area. Casares beach is under 1km away (with parking), and continues on to Sabinillas town, and Estepona in the opposite direction. Activities can be arranged locally eg water-skiing, scuba diving, banana boats, fishing. Puerto Duquesa, 5 mins away, also has full marina facilities. All have beach bars/cafes.

Travel:

To really enjoy the area we strongly recommend hiring a car. The roads are very good to drive on. Tolls roads are quiet and well sign-posted - the average cost from Malaga airport (45 minutes away) in the high season is around 10 euros. Gibraltar airport is closer but flights are less frequent, and you'll probably experience some congestion on the outskirts.

Distances:

Seville, Cordoba and Granada are achievable in a day. The ancient town of Ronda can also be visited by car (1.25 hrs) or by train (less strain!) from San Roque. The picturesque port of La Duquesa is less than 2 kms away and has restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. 5 minutes to the west by car to Sabinillas. 10 minutes to the east by car to Estepona. 10 minutes to the north by car to the beautiful old 'white' village of Casares. 25 minutes to the west by car to Gibraltar; bring passports!

Further Details:

The nearest quality supermarkets - SuperSol in Sabinillas & Mercadona towards Estepona are within a 5 minute drive. There is a Lidl supermarket on right as you drive towards Sabinillas. A petrol station (with small shop for basic stuff) and taxi rank are located at the bottom of the road, 1km away (opposite the beach). The nearest banks, chemists & local shops are also in Sabinillas. All the towns have their market days, mainly in the summer months, and are usually awash with shoes, handbags, jewellery, arts & crafts, and local produce like olives and spices etc. More information in the apartment including maps & useful telephone numbers.
