A good value for money comfortable cottage which catered for all our needs. A lovely quiet location but a car is essential but it is a great spot to explore Dorset. Will consider going back.

Old Kilns

Our first visit to Old Kilns and definitely won't be our last. The accomodation was perfect for our needs and situated where it was easy to get to all the interesting places around. Our dog Phoebe settled in immediately and enjoyed the company of the cattle backing on to the garden. Looking forward to another visit - Full Marks 5 out of 5

A Real Find (again)!

Our second stay in Old Kilns - Just as perfect as before.

I would recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a well located and comfortable base for exploring Dorset.

Old Kilns was well equipped and was very comfortable and clean. The owner was very helpful and emailed promptly helping with any queries that we had.

Many lovely walks and cycle rides can be enjoyed from the front door. Old Kilns is within easy reach of Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum and many National Trust properties.


We are within a short drive to most of Dorset's famous beaches, including Sandbanks, Studland, Lulworth and Kimmeridge.

The usual changeover is Friday.

  • Notes on accommodation: One well behaved adult dog welcome by arrangement. Free Wi-Fi available on request. Please note that at times it may be erratic and slow due to our rural location. No smoking indoors. Friday changeovers Outside: A secluded rear terrace with wooden table and chairs (ideal for al fresco dining). A flight of steps leads up to the rear lawned garden which enjoys lovely views over the rolling countryside. Ample parking. Utility Room: Utility area with washing machine and dryer. Iron and ironing board provided. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen, tea towels and bath mats provided. Bath towels not included. Other: We try to provide everything we think you will need but are always on hand if there is anything additional you require. The cottage has full central heating.
