A Haven of peace surroundend by gentle activities

  • 5 of 5

A lovely week with three generations sharing a delightful location and each of us completely catered for. Boys and girls could fish, cycle, have a camp fire, meet others. Mums and Dads could join in or watch but still be "at home", get up late, and be relaxed and Grandparents could pootle about in slow time and enjoy just witnessing the scenery and enjoying the activity of others. Wifi was great, thankfully phones hardly work but i am now told that Wifi and WhatsApp gets round that if needs be. In addition to fishing on site in the slack moments we also explored Forest of Dean, The black mountains, The Hay festival, Hereford Cathedral Mappa Mundi and Chain Library and much more. Richard and Gwen and family are fabulous hosts and radiate the gentleness and beauty of their surroundings. Thank you all.

Perfection

  • 5 of 5

3rd stay at Wainhouse at Trippenkennet farm. We have already booked again for Easter next year. We are a family with two small children 3 & 4 they have been welcome since the first stay.

The cottage is very clean, safe and very, very well equipped. The children love to run around the enclosed garden and adventure. The animals are always an added bonus. The little lambs bouncing around.

Lets put it this way... my husband I decided to have our honeymoon here! Will hope to return years to come. Cannot reccomend enough!

Thank you Gwen and Richard!!!

Peace and comfort on the farm

  • 5 of 5

First, I had to find a wheelchair-accessible self-catering property within reach of the Wye valley and Forest of Dean. This one came up trumps. Next, my wife and I wanted a quiet rural location and a detached property. Such this was. It was clean, well provided and spacious with pleasant views over the stock farm to the folding Herefordshire landscape. The owners were friendly and helpful.

Thoroughly recommended.
