Penthouse Apartment in Pueblo Mascarat near Altea - Peaceful Location With Swimming Pool, 10 Minute Walk To Nearby Beach

This large penthouse apartment has stunning views out to the sea and along the coast to Altea, Albir and Benidorm.

There are also panoramic views of the Sierra Bernia mountains. The apartment is finished to a very high standard and furnished accordingly paying great attention to detail.

Estrella de Jazmines makes for an ideal get-away-from-it-all holiday particularly for boating and water sports enthusiasts. The apartment is situated between the towns of Calpe and Altea, both offering a wide variety of attractions. Calpe offers beautiful stretches of sandy beaches lined with bars, restaurants and shops whilst Altea with its historic 'old town', the centre point being the church of the 'Virgen del Consuelo'. Around the church square you can sit outside one of the cafe/bars and watch the world go by.

The apartment is 10 minutes walking distance from Mascarat Beach and the Luis Campomanes Sports Marina. Estrella de Jazmines is fully air-conditioned and beautifully furnished.

Why John Carrington chose Altea Area

I like the location of the apartment because of its tranquillity, yet closeness to the towns of Altea and Calpe.

What makes this apartment unique

I have been taking vacations in Spain for some years now and every time I go to either Calpe or Altea, I find something new about the place. For example, I particularly enjoy visiting Calpe old town. It has many narrow streets full of interesting bars and restaurants. I am also learning Spanish and I try to speak with the locals, albeit badly, as much as possible.

We were at the apartment from 3rd April to 12th April this year and wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know what a fantastic time we had. The apartment is beautiful and extremely well equipped and felt like a real home from home. Having a toddler with us, it was refreshing to see that you had thought of her too. I was delighted to see a proper mattress for the travel cot, her favourite ikea high chair, stair gate and even some bibs to use. The views were stunning and surrounding area extremely well kept.

All in all, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend the apartment to others.

The apartment was ideal for a winter stay. Plenty of warm bedding and throws for the cool nights, TV, books and DVD's for cosy evenings. The service from the local agent was first class.

Beautiful clean spacious apartment with stunning views, couldn't fault it!

A fabulous spacious apartment with stunning views from both terraces. It had all the equipment to make it a home from home. Marina approx 10-15 mins walk. The restaurants were all open tho a little quiet, maybe due to time of year. Car is essential as there are no buses and no way to walk into Altea unless you are prepared to paddle for about 50 yards or so in the sea as path disappears. Taxis were about 12 to 15 Euro into Altea which we used a few times. There are restaurants aplenty in Altea and Albir. All in all a lovely holiday....maybe just a little too far out they way for us.

Spacious apartment with fantastic views

Excellent friendly trouble free experience regarding booking and fantastic customer service regarding explanation of location, restaurants etc down to greeting you on arrival. The property is exactly as advertised with fabulous balcony, lounge and roof terrace views. The spacious swimming pool was even warm enough for us to take a dip on a couple of days (that was a bonus in April, c/o good old Spanish sunshine). I feel a car is a must when staying here, but as has been said in another review, the marina is about 15mins.walk away with plenty of resorts nearby to visit by car. My Wife and I shared the apartment with a couple of friends and we had a great time here.

stunning apartment in a beautiful location!

we have just returned from a truly wonderful 5 days in this stunning apartment,it was super clean and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your holiday but the icing on the cake without doubt are the 2 terraces offering the most amazing views over the bay of Altea and you can even see Benidorm in the far distance,these are not overlooked at all so sunbathing on the roof terrace in the warmer weather would be a really nice way to spend a day! We found the complex and the whole area of Mascarat very very clean and well maintained and also very quiet which was nice,as we don't like to drive whilst on holiday we were a bit worried about getting around but we needn't have worried as the marina was a nice easy 10 minutes stroll away and had lots of bars and restaurants and if you wanted to go into Altea one of the bars would call you a taxi whilst you had a drink,once in Altea you can catch the bus or train and travel almost anywhere up and down the coast for very little money,we took the number 10 bus from Altea to Benidorm for 6 euros return for 2 adults! All in all,a fantastic apartment in a wonderful part of Spain and we can't wait to go back!!!

Great Accomadation & Views

This accommodation was great with plenty of space in the apartment, the balcony was great to sit in and enjoy the sun, it was private and you where not overlooked, Clean and tidy and easy access with a car to Altea and Calpe.. We enjoyed the accommodation so much we have just re-booked for this year.. We also had DVD's and Wi-Fi if needed.. You won't be disappointed !! book it..

Home from Home !

Stayed in this fabulous apartment for three nights in January and wish I had been able to stay longer

Many 'Holiday apartments' are just that - they are furnished practically and minimally and often in a basic fashion so as to reduce the risk for the owner of sustaining damage etc to their property or personal possessions

Not so the case in this appartment

When you rent this apartment it really feels like you are staying in someone's home - and someone who takes pride in their home and in making their guests feel spoiled and most importantly COMFORTABLE

Everything you could really ask for is there for you - smart and very comfortable seating inside and outside on the terrace and balcony, TV with UK channels aircon and heating ( all high quality and very effective / efficient )

The kitchen has everything you would find in your own kitchen

In some holiday apartments the cleaners take everything perishable and edible out at the end of your stay so when the the next guests arrive their is absolutely nothing in the cupboards

At this apartment the owner has faith in people's good nature and leaves the essentials for cooking such as cooking oil / olive oil salt & pepper tea bags and coffee etc etc and ice cubes in the fridge for cold drinks! - just remember to replace what you use and use common sense when it comes to leaving food that you can't take home and the system works well for everyone!

Being on the top floor there is no noise from upstairs neighbours dragging patio furniture backwards and forwards across their terrace

There's no problem with parking right outside

A car is a must if you're lazy but not if you consider yourself fit !

The views are quite breath taking and cannot be captured by any photograph

The communal pool and surrounding grounds are spotless and very Beatifully maintained

It is also worth mentioning Anita and Stewart who manage the apartment for the owner. They make the whole business of collecting the keys for your stay and dropping them off at the end of your holiday simple and stress free. They have been resident in the area for over 10 years and are a great referral base for just about anything!

They show you how everything in the apartment works etc and are on hand should you need a help with anything.

To summaries - this apartment is like having your own luxury holiday apartment - without the financial investment or worries that sometimes come with owning abroard !!
