Stunning modernised, 3 bed, 3 bathroom, 90m2 apartment, situated in the recently developed Alpenhof chalet. Sleeps 9 people comfortably. Fantastic location, just 250 meters walking distance from the main Stubnerkogel lift station and centre of Bad Gastein.The town with its impressive waterfall, sparkling healing spas and the Healing Galleries is a symbol for energy and revitalisation. Supermarket, restaurants,bars and a famous Casino are within close walking distance. Excellent skiing area catering for all abilities,220 km of slopes that also connect the villages of Angertal and Bad Hofgastein,part of Ski Amade skiing domain. Famous hot spring spa Felsen Therme, is only 200 meters from the apartment. Nearest golf course is in the valley, 3km away.Several international 18 hole golf courses within 30-45 minutes drive from the apartment. Hiking,tennis, horse riding,cycling and swimming in the lake are only few of the activities offered in the spring/summer/autumn season.

About Mr and Mrs Koppen

We are a family of four who have lived in several European countries over the last 15 years ( U.K, Denmark, Switzerland).

Our love for the outdoor sports especially skiing and cycling prompted us to buy this apartment.

The feeling of grandour of former kings and queens of Habsburgs one gets when visiting Bad Gastein is an added bonus of the town and the area.

Although we never skied in the area previously we took the risk of buying here and were instantly impressed, in our first ski season, by the amount of pistes, their lengths and ski lifts that service them. A fantastic skiing area catering for all abilities and very family friendly.

Why Mr and Mrs Koppen chose Badgastein

We fell in love with Bad Gastein during the summer of 2011 when on holiday looking for a potential holiday property to invest in.

Bad Gastein is a real gem, once the main centre of gold minning producition globally (1800s), later the preferred Spa town of Europe's royals.

Fantastic ski area, liking into the massive Ski Amade (Austria's biggest skiing area) catering for all abilities from beginners (including children) to hard-core ski/snow freaks.

A proper all-year resort with loads of activities in the summer months (golf, tennis, cycling, hiking, archery etc), which is very important to us as we use the property very often.

Salzburgerland has a lot to offer for the whole family!

What makes this apartment unique

The proximity of the ski lift and town centre were the main points for purchasing the apartment. All the facilities are few minutes walking distance from the chalet and that is, we believe, what most of holidaymakers want.

Furthermore our chalet is situated at the end of cul-de-sac, therefore we enjoy all the tranquilities of peace and quiet whilst still being just a throw away from the buzz of the cafes and restaurants that Bad Gastein's night life offers.

Outside: Balcony by reception room/ kitchen/ dinning room has a table and chairs for use for al-fresco after ski or dinning in summer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels are provided at cost of €10 per person, Final obligatory cleaning is €100, Tourist tax per person over 15 years = €2,20 person/day plus €1,10 per stay = €16,50 per wk/person. These additional costs are charged at time of booking. Other: A very spacious entrance in the apartment with lots of hanging hooks on the walls for the easy storage of your ski clothes; Heated Ski/boot room available on the ground floor. Please note, no ski-boots allowed inside. Cot available on demand.

A fantastic apartment with a stunning view.

We've had a best skiing holiday ever: two families with kids stayed in this amazing apartment that is extremely spacious and very well equipped. A bonus was the location, so close to the main ski lift /our children did not moan about walking to the ski pistes. Would highly recommend this apartment to families with children and teenagers - the proximity to the town, pizzeria, mini golf and clif climbing are the added advantages of this apartment and its location - our kids were constantly entertained.

Special interest holidays:

The Austrian authentic village of Gruner Baum is a must to vist. It offers variety of entertainments in the spring/summer/autumn season. Segway, animal farm/zoo for children, horse riding, hiking or mountain biking through the beautiful scenery of Hohe Tauern National Park are just few of the activities on offer. The village lies only five minutes drive from our apartment.

In the winter one can also ski on Graukogel piste,one of the oldest ski pistes in the area (established in 1958) where the World ski cup is occasionally held when in Austria.


3km to the lake in the valey where you can enjoy swimming and sunbathing in the summer


Salzburg Airport is only 1 hour drive by car. From Munich Airport it is appx. 2,5 hours. Shuttle mini-bus transfers from both Salzburg and Munich available via local taxi services (Salzburg from only €35 and Munich €140). Once in Bad Gastein no car is needed. Ski busses are free and included in lift passes and supermarkets, shopping, restaurants, bars and Felsen Therme Spa all within 5 min walking distance from our chalet.

Stay tax £2.20 per night, per person. This amount will be due to the owner upon arrival. Does not apply to children under 15 years.

Booking Notes:
Non refundable deposit of 20% of rental price on reservation (min. EUR 250); balance of total rental price to be paid before or 8 weeks prior to arrival.
Cost of final cleaning, bed linen/towel hire & kur tax for persons over 15yrs is charged at time of booking, in addition to the deposit.

Changeover Day:
Normal changeover day is Saturday, arrival after 4pm and checkout before 09.30am. Can be flexible outside of high season, please contact owner.
