The cottages are situated in a beautiful unspoilt medieval Cotswold Non Working Farm complete with many of its original buildings including a Dovecote. This enchanting Farm has hardly changed in 400 years. Set in the Heart of the beautiful Cotswold Village of Nympsfield, the cottages are within a 2 minute walk of the Rose & Crown, a short walk to Coaley Peak escarpment View Point, this point gives spectacular views over the Berkeley Vale across the River Severn to the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons beyond.

Why Anne Gazzard chose Stonehouse

Born and bred in the Cotswolds, Anne at Tetbury and myself at Woodchester we both love this area and we know that Nympsfield is a truly unspoilt and undiscovered gem with a church, a pub and a real old world village atmosphere.

What makes this barn unique

Set in a real quiet village with very little traffic and within walking distance or short driving distance of many interesting, beautiful and stimulating places to visit.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The welcome to Bay Tree Farm was so warm and friendly.. especially the chickens that came up to the glass front to have a good look at us!! The accommodation is absolutely lovely, very comfortable and so comfortable in the evenings with the woodburner alight. I feel that we were so lucky to be the first guests to stay... we enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked to come back in June. Sandra and Sean April 2012

Although the weather wasn't very kind to me I can't say a single bad word about the cottage - it's absolutely fantastic - Katerina from Prague,Czech Republic.

Our short break started with the warmest of welcomes and we felt at home through out our stay.Tinkley Cottage is the perfect get away.Well presented & equipped. We walked from the cottage each day to some amazing places, Woodchester Park,Coaley View Point,Selsley Common taking in the Cotswold Way and other unplanned places! We can't recommend you enough,we will be back.Just Fantastic! Extremely clean & attractive barn conversion.

  • 5 of 5

An exceptionally comfortable home to stay in. The hosts Anne & David were very welcoming & helpful. Not only is the site lovely, but the surrounding area is so beautiful. Also a very good local pub with super meals.

So much to see & do, also so quick to reach. An exceptionally good stepping off point to explore the Cotswolds, in every direction.

Great venue for relaxing in the Cotswolds

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Tingley Cottage with our dog and were made to feel very welcome. The Cottage is as described and was perfect for our short family walking holiday. As weather was good we used barbecue and made use of the local pub which serves great food and beer. Would recommend for any family wanting to enjoy the Cotswolds

Wonderful Stay in the Cotswolds

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic week in Tinkley and Nympy Cottages - both were comfortable, clean and well presented - the setting was perfect with the converted Barn and the enclosed courtyard complete with free-roaming chickens! Anne and David were great hosts, very friendly and helpful, and helped make our stay very enjoyable. Nympsfield is in an ideal location to explore the local area, we will certainly be back.

Lovely cottage, very homely

  • 5 of 5

We booked Tinkley Cottage for Christmas 2016 and were not disappointed. The courtyard had a lovely Christmas Tree and lots of pretty lights around. The cottage itself exceeded our expectations - it was bigger than it looked on the photos, spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well equipt (I had brought a few bits with us as it was over Christmas but everything I needed was already thought of) The bedrooms were really comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The shower downstairs was clean and useful being separate. The cottage was warm but it was lovely to have the woodburner on Christmas Eve . We took our dogs with us and the space under the stairs was perfect for the dog beds. Also ample storage for coats and boots. Lots of great walks nearby, fabulous views from the local longbarrow and lovely walk through the woods there too. Also the local Victorian Mansion (couple of mins drive) was well worth the visit although it wasn't open it was impressive to see and a lovely walk down to it too. We had a meal in the Rose and Crown pub just 2 mins walk away which was very nice too. All in all a great place to stay and we would happily come back again. The owners were very welcoming but not intrusive which is perfect. Also for good for us was the freezer in the cottage is a good size as I had precooked some meals to take with us and there is the use of an additional freezer too if you need it.
