About the property

Modern Villa near Colonia de San Pere, Mallorca; 5 Mins To Local Town; Infinity pool; Well equipped; Wireless Internet

Situated amongst stunning scenery in the unspoilt north east of Mallorca, Can Trigo enjoys a wonderfully private position allowing guests to unwind in a peaceful and natural environment. Can Trigo is only 45 minutes by car from Palma airport and is located between dramatic mountains and the blue waters of Alcudia Bay. Without exception, guests arriving at Can Trigo are struck by the tranquility of its setting and the beautiful views. The property's secluded position offers guests unrivalled privacy and yet only 5 minutes down the private valley is the delightful coastal town of Colonia de san Pere. Colonia de san Pere is a pretty Mallorcan town which happily has managed both to retain its local charm and develop sufficiently to provide visitors with all necessary amenities. In terms of activities Can Trigo is very well positioned given its proximity to some of the island's finest beaches, 4 top rated golf courses and the beautiful medieval town of Arta is 10 minutes away.

Villa and location simply stunning!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures really don't do it justice. The villa is lovely - spacious, clean and very well equipped. The location is just perfect, set on the hillside with the most stunning view across the sea and mountains beyond, the sunsets were quite incredible.

It is the perfect place if you need peace, relaxation and re-energising.

The nearby beaches were also beautiful, we were spoilt for choice!

Toby was incredibly helpful and answered all our questions promptly.

I highly recommend this villa - we most certainly be returning!

Sensational villa in gorgeous location

  • 5 of 5

My wife, young daughter and I had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous Mallorca property. The setting is idyllic; the villa is very well appointed; and, the sunset views over the infinity pool and down the valley to the sea are very difficult to beat. Whilst in a peaceful location, there is easy access to the lovely little town of Colonia de Sant Pere. We hope to return and could not recommend the villa more highly.

Fantastic, Idyllic villa perfect for our Minimoon

  • 5 of 5

My wife, son (19 months old), and myself wanted a last bit of sun just after our wedding. Toby was very accommodating being that this was very last minute. The forecast wasn't great for the week but after a wet and windy night we rose to the beauty of which is 'Can Trigo'. That first sun drenched morning we spent marvelling in what was to be our own little place in paradise of which the pictures do not do the place justice. as soon as you walk outside your eyes don't know which way to flicker, stunning view of the not so distant sea with the back drop of scaling mountains beyond that, the inviting infinity pool just below, the huge bowl of a valley that you were so neatly tucked away from it all in.... and the noise.... nothing... apart from the occasional few bleating goats and the squawk from wild birds perfect to sit back and drink in.

Toby has built up a reference book of stuff to do, places to go, beach and restaurant wise and everything is so close a 2 minute drive to your small little town with some very nice sea front restaurant's with some killer sunset views. There are some great sandy beaches just a short 10 minutes drive away that my son Finley loved. But just sitting round and playing in the pool was great especially as the weather had forecast a bit of rain but we just got sun. Long lazy wine filled lunches turned into a wine fuelled BBQ its all we could have wanted. Must mention the Sonos system which was great for playing anything music wise you wanted. This place is great especially having a little one being all one floor you can open the sliding doors and just let them wander freely the stair gates down to the pool are lockable as well. There 'so much to say about this part of Mallorca you could write such a great book. Thank you Toby for letting us stay, you have a gem of a property in a perfect location. Cant wait to come back.

Owner's Response: Hi Phil I've just re read your review and realised I hadn't commented on it or thanked you. Thank you! I'm so glad you guys loved Can Trigo and how you describe it is exactly why I bought the finca over 10 years ago and why I love it there too. You will be extremely welcome to return any time as you were a pleasure to correspond with and will always be a highly valued client. Thanks again for your wonderful review :-) Toby

Beautiful, peaceful & relaxing

  • 4 of 5

Our family of four, 2 kids (4 & 6 years old) enjoyed our time so much in this lovely villa with a super swimming pool. Superbly isolated enough (not too much) and with the sound of goats bleating in the distance, it was a great getaway from it all.

The house is furnitured well, as well as sonos systems (fab!!).

It is situated near a lovely non-touristic town, with a pretty little beach nearby with beautiful clear sea (again, not overwhelmingly touristy).

From my experience of hiring villas, this was one of the best, if not the best, value for money villas I have stayed in. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family for a peaceful holiday, (yet near to it all -if you need to get there).

I think the only down side for some, in hot season (and Spain was experiencing a heat wave at this point) is in peak season, this place has no air-co. This took some getting used to for some of us (although the kids were fine).

Idyllic holiday home in beautiful nature reserve

  • 5 of 5

The house is tucked away in the hills in the north east of the island and although easy to find with very clear directions from the owner, is very quiet and secluded. It is in a nature reserve, so lying by the pool you hear only bird song as you look out over the hills and at the mediterranean. There are lovely restaurants on the sea front which is only a 2 minute drive by car, for when we were too lazy to cook! The house is very well equipped - the shower in particular was luxurious - and the infinity pool is state-of-the art with comfortable sun loungers alongside. I am pregnant and would definitely come back with a baby/toddler; there is a gate above the stairs to the pool which means we could be in and around the house without worrying about the pool. As they get a bit older taking a trail walk into the reserve would also be an adventure; my husband certainly enjoyed it!

Our stay really was wonderful, I think we will be going back again and again!

Superb Holiday, Highly Recommended

  • 5 of 5

We loved Can Trigo! If you need to recharge your batteries, there really is nowhere better than in the hammock on the outdoor terrace of this villa. The villa is extremely well equipped with comfy beds and furniture, modern bathrooms and kitchen, wi-fi, loads of space, books, pool games .... I could go on and on. And the views - extraordinarily beautiful mountains with the sea in the distance. The pictures simply do not do the scenery justice.

Location wise, it’s probably a 5 minute drive down to the village of Colonia De St Pere, somewhere I’d never even heard of before this holiday. It’s an absolute treasure of a place located on the sea front. We’ve stayed close to Puerto Pollenca in the past and were a bit reluctant to try a different area, but boy, are we glad we did. It’s such a delightful Spanish village, traditional, friendly, relaxed and with several great restaurants. We ate out there almost every night (actually some lunches too as I can’t be bothered with the faff of cooking whilst on holiday!) and didn’t run out of places to go.

We took a couple of long walks in the area, more superb scenery and abundant bird life. As you can tell from my review, we were totally smitten by the place and will certainly return.

Owner's Response: Dear Jean and Richard a huge thank you for posting such a complimentary review of Can Trigo and I'm delighted that you loved your time out there. I think you sell the villa far better than I do so I might just copy and paste your review into the villa description! It's interesting that you mention Pollensa because we feel exactly the same way about Colonia de San Pere an infinitely more pleasant place in so many ways. I have no idea why so few people have heard of it given it's such a gem. Anyway thanks again for your lofty praise and you are very welcome to return any time.. And the villa will be even better next time you visit as a number of improvements are being planned for this winter...watch this space! Best wishes Toby
