Villa Petritis - Superb Cliff Top Villa with Pool

Updated: 07-Oct-2016
Villa in Boikatika, Paxos, Greece - Spectacular Location on West Coast

Perched two hundred metres above the magnificent horseshoe bay of Ahai on the west coast of Paxos, the view from Villa Petritis’ terraces is simply stunning. The villa is very comfortable and homely and is arguably the best location on this beautiful island.

Villa Petritis nestles in the tiny hamlet of Boikatika which is a 5 minute walk from the village of Magazia & its bakery, grocery stores and tavernas.

About the Owner

My parents bought Petritis in 1973 and set about its extensive renovation. They chose its location because the East Coast and its three ports become quite frenetic in peak season but Petritis, on the West Coast, remains secluded and tranquil all year round.

I first visited Paxos with my family in 1968 and have visited every year thereafter ... The island will always be my 'second home' as the locals are kind & welcoming and the scenery is idyllic.

Hi Rick, The stay was great; a wonderful and very diversified holiday, incredible views from the villa and the support of Mahi who is always there to care despite a lot of work during high season. We will come back to Paxos next year for sure ... Thanks for all. Your house is perfect for a break from everything. You are very lucky to have such a house there. See you. Cheers.

Hi Rick, So we have just returned from our Paxos idyll ... We have had a wonderful time staying at your villa - a very special location and landscaped well in relation to vista and shade at different times of the day ... So good we will return !

(F. Perry - July 2014)

Anyway once again a great break; your parents certainly chose the perfect location. Rick, the view from your villa was awesome. We spent many a happy hour sat outside in the courtyard or overlooking the bay and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for letting us stay - we may be in touch about a late booking this year. All the best.

Very relaxing villa with great views.

Stayed in Villa Petritis for 10 days in July and had a lovely time. The villa is perfect for 2 people and the pool is more than enough. Great sun terraces to have breakfast and dinner and the view is breath taking. Rick was great at keeping in touch and helping with ferry info and collection from the port. I would highly recommend hiring a car as other parts of the island are beautiful and also for shopping in Gaios. It is possible to walk to a Taverna just take the torch provided.

Stunning views and lovely, romantic villa

  • 4 of 5

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Petritis. Once you enter through the gate into the courtyard it's as if you're in a world of your own. It's completely away from the touristy bustle of Gaios so if you want a quiet holiday with privacy this is the villa for you. The swimming pool was fabulous (and necessary in the 30+ degree heat) and Mahi was brilliant - sorting out any little glitches and going the extra mile by picking us up at the port when there weren't any taxis available. We were sad to leave.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind words & SORRY again that the big storm prior to your arrival caused the pool to be 'out of action' on day 1 for its required ph adjustment. I hope you'll choose to stay at Villa Petritis again in the near future.

Wonderful Villa with a wonderful view

  • 5 of 5

What a fabulous place! We had a great time at Villa Petritis and were constantly stunned at the view from the numerous patios. The weather was very hot for us and the variety of sitting areas afforded us shade or sun whenever we wanted. the pool is lovely too and a welcome respite from the heat. The local restaurant (Emeritis) was the best we found on the island and was within a five minute walk. Recommend hiring a small boat to tour around the calm waters and swim or snorkel in the majestic bays around Paxos and Anti Paxos. We had a great time and look forward to visiting again one day.

Romantic hideaway

Villa Petritis.

The villa is a perfect escape. It is very spacious inside and in a beautiful part of the island. Think best for a couple looking to just relax and do nothing in an idyllic setting.

There is plenty of outside seating areas in which you can relax, sunbathe and admire the incredible, uninterrupted view over the sea.

The pool is a very good size, with ample seating area around it, and again facing out over the sea.

It's all very secluded. Quiet, peaceful and very relaxing.

The local village has good places to eat but worth hiring a car for a few days to explore the island, though it doesn't take long. Taxis are plentiful and reliable.

Would wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend Villa Petritis.
