Notes:
Outside: La Gardenia apartments have a large 25metre communal pool in the centre of the complex. The extensive mature and well maintained lawned gardens offer a lovely private area for sunbathing, barbeques and picnics. Outside table and chairs and sun loungers plus portable Barbeque are all provided. The yachts and other passing harbour traffic are a continuous source of interest, easily viewed from the gardens and balcony. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Egyptian Cotton bed linen and 2 towels per person are provided. These are changed every 7 days. The apartment is cleaned prior to arrival and again on departure. Maid cleaning service is available more frequently for an extra charge.

Lovely apartment

Booking was easy, the owner was very welcoming and helpful. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well equipped. It is surrounded by lovely gardens and it is great to have access to a swimming pool in the grounds.

It's an easy walk to Cales Fonts for lots of restaurants. We recommend a visit to the nearby Binifadet vineyard, just outside Sant Lluis which has a great restaurant. We had a lovely holiday and would highly recommend the apartment.

Idyllic Holiday Haven

After staying in La Gardenia for over 25 years I can say this is by far the best apartment we have stayed in. The apartment has been refurbished and is spotless. Easy to book and excellent customer service. Clearly managed by a good company on site. Already booked for next year !

The apartment is loved by my family and with last years 'Winter Face Lift' feeling more so...Welcomingly homely but without unnecessary clutter. You are on holiday. Sun, Sea, family and friends being priority. It's really good to hear that you have enjoyed it too. Villa Pride who manage it for me live nearby and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble. Special interest holidays:

The island is ideal of numerous water sports, boating, yachting, water skiing, snorkelling and scuba diving .

If you prefer to discover the island by foot then Cami de Cavalls (coastal footpath) provides some lovely walks directly from the apartment or throughout the island in some great locations. We provide a guide book.

Cycling is another very popular pastime with an extensive network of cycle paths that are very well marked. You can find extensive information on all the above in our house book.

Coast/Beach:

There are over 80 beautiful sandy beaches on Menorca, with Cala Mitjana being rated one of the best in the world. There is the special authentically Menorcan village of Es Grau with long sandy beach, very safe for young children, and no hotels. Es Grau is a 15 minute drive away. Nearer, just 10 minutes away, is the spectacular unspoilt beach of Cala Mesquida.

Travel:

The airport is approx. 12min. drive away and the port of Mahon only a 5 mins drive.Car hire is not essential but to explore the island it is recommended.

There is a regular bus service from Es Castell to Mahon and the main towns.

Distances:

The town of Es Castell is about a 10 min. walk away where you will find supermarkets, banks , bars and restaurants

Mahon the capital is about 10 min. drive away.
