Hi, I’m Harriette I look after the properties with my husband Alfie.

We rent three properties in Carmona, one of which is ours, it is a fantasitc three bedroom chalet on a huge plot which is shared with our house, where we live with our little daughter Athena and our fat, lazy cats.

We have been renting another property for about three years owned by some of our good Spanish friends who use the house only for occasional holidays. It is a gorgeous two bedroom chalet on a huge private plot and a perfect location for any relaxing holiday in the sun.

Due to demand and on our visitors request we have now taken on a third, larger three bedroom property which is only a two minute walk from our two bed property which is ideal for big groups visiting who want to be close but not too close

Beautiful, Tranquil Villa

This isn’t the first time we have stayed at this beautiful villa and most certainly won’t be our last time either. Set in the most tranquil and beautiful of locations, this villa may be compact but packs a punch, it has everything you could need and more. Seville and the airport is just 20 minutes away and the quaint town of Carmona 10 minutes away…so many places to explore on your doorstep but you will have to tear yourself away from the fabulous pools and luscious gardens first!

I cannot praise Harriette enough, she made the whole process extremely easy and was attentive to all our needs and I cannot recommend this property enough! Our whole experience was fantastic and we cannot wait to return to spend another relaxing week in glorious sunshine in a simply stunning villa!

Nice property near Seville

This is a nice villa in between of Camona and Seville. Gated property with more than 50 orange trees, and a nice swimming pool. Its quite, secure, and clean. The property manager Harriate is a lovely English lady who is an absolute delight to deal with. She supplied everthing we needed, and is quick to correct any problems. We made days trips often to Seville, Camona, Cadiz, and Cordoba. Its very easy to get on the high way, yet very secluded. Its great for 2~4people. We will recommend it to our friends.

Excellent!

The property was a superb and comfortable home located just 20 mins from Seville airport and ideally located to explore most areas of Southern Spain.

One of the many plusses was freshly squezzed orange juice in the mornings!

The host was very pleasant and accommodating to some extra requirements we had and went out of her way to assist. The owners were very hospitable and welcoming as well.

Overall a fantastic property and location. We had a fabulous time there and were sad to leave. We would recommend this place to any family.

A great base to explore from and to relax in

This is a delightful holiday house - plenty of space, 2 good sized double bedrooms. There were only two of us but it would not have felt crowded if there were 4. Going in November, we had not expected to use the pool but we were lucky with great weather and swam every day. There had been a problem with an electrical surge the day before but Harriette and Leopold had worked so hard to get everything sorted before we arrived - full marks for their care and attention. As a base for exploring the region, it could not be bettered - nearby Carmona (10 minutes by car) is a delightful small town and Cordoba and Seville are within easy reach. And it was really easy to find, from the airport, which is always a plus. Once you're at the house, it's very peaceful - occasionally I heard traffic noise but nothing to disturb - and of course there are dogs & cockerels in the background. Being in a secure gated complex meant we felt very safe. I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants a relaxing base from which to explore the region.

I originally bought this property in 2006 due to the fact that I loved Carmona and Sevilla, so finding this gorgeous chalet located only 5 minutes from Carmona and 20 minutes from Sevilla was ideal. Due to personal circumstances I sold this property in 2008 and later became good friends with the new house owners. Recently after speaking with the owners and explaining how busy we are with the rental of our country house also in Carmona. I asked if they might be interested in renting theirs, which they were as they only use it for occassional holidays. We were delighted they would let us rent their house for them as it is so similar to ours and know it is just what visiters are looking for when deciding on a sunny holiday destination.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Horse riding country hacks can be arranged where I stable my horse about 10 minutes from the house for €30 for a 1.5 hour ride. We can also put guests in contact with skydiving and golf; if guests have any other special requests I will do my best to find out what options are available.

Coast/Beach:

The closest beaches are in Jerez, about an hour away and if you drive another half an hour past Jerez you will find yourself in Cadiz where you can go to some of the main surfing beaches such as Caños de Meca and El Palmar. Portugal is a similar distance and has some fantastic beaches including the Isla Tavira beach where you can even camp overnight.

Travel:

It is highly recommended to rent a car for the trip, if you find car rentals very difficult or impossible, we will try and find a car solution for you.

Sevilla airport is only 15 minutes drive and now accessible from most of UK’s main airports, Jerez airport is 1 hour, 10 minutes and Malaga airport is about 2 hours, 15 minutes drive.

At time of booking, a 30% reservation deposit will be requested and the 70% balance due in cash at time of arrival. A reservation contract will be sent to you at time of booking along with our T&C's.

Security, damage and electricity deposit of either (1) €250 OR (2) €100 & GBP 130 to be paid at time of arrival, for UK visitors a part sterling and part euro deposit is accepted so not to have to travel home with too many leftover euros. For rentals of two weeks or longer, an additional security deposit may be required, this will be confirmed in advance at time of placing the booking.

The property is just amazing, it is in a gated community, so it is safe yet at the same time it is very private. Although the chalet is in the countryside it is close to everywhere, that is if you even feel like venturing out of the property. It is so homely and tranquil, no road or plane noise, with its private pool, huge grounds which are surrounded in orange trees and shady seating areas for those warm summer days. Inside the chalet, it is equally as delightful, it was renovated when I bought the property and since I sold it, the new owners have made even more changes including a new pool with focus lights, huge wooden covered terrace, bought beautiful furniture and so much more. It is a wonderful place to spend a holiday for all ages and an experience to remember.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: Electricity is charged through an individual electricity meter to the property at €0.20 per kw as charged by the electricity company. A meter reading will be taken at time of check-in and checkout. I always charge electricity separately to ensure that AC is not left running 24/7 and therefore enables me to offer the property at a cheaper rental rate. The checkout fee will depend on the number of rooms used: 1 room: €30. 2 rooms: €35. For guests arriving either late Saturday evening, Sunday or bank holidays we offer a free of charge supermarket shopping service, just let us know at time of booking should you wish us to do a shop for you. A week before arrival send us your shopping list, we'll keep the supermarket receipt to be reimbursed at time of check-in. Outside: The front terrace has lights for evening get-togethers, and to escape the summer heat is totally shaded with a fantastic wooden porch. There is a dining area to one side and the other side a sociable seating area with a view to the pool. The pool is situated only about 10 meters from the front of the house and has plenty of seating areas and sun beds. For nighttime swimming there are internal pool lights and lights surrounding the pool. Between the pool and terrace there is a brick built BBQ with a large dining table looking onto the grass garden. The plot is large and mainly consists of orange trees and a huge fig tree just aside from the terrace; guests are welcome to help themselves to anything in the garden. Utility Room: The utility room is just aside from the pool and includes a washing machine and dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen will be provided clean and ironed every 7 days. If requested more frequently it can be provided for an extra cost of €7 per set of bedding. Guests are expected to keep the property clean however a cleaning service can be provided for €40. Other: There is a small washing room with washing machine and tumble dryer, also cloths lines if you prefer to dry outside in the fresh air.
