These stunning 2 and 3 bedroom apartments are located on the prestigious 5 star complex of Mar da Luz in Porto Dona Maria. Situated between Luz and Burgau, both are within a few minutes drive or a scenic walk along a costal footpath. The facilities include a communal pool, children's pool, spa with indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and fitness room. The nearby villages of Burgau and Luz have beautiful sandy beaches and numerous bars and restaurants. Luz also has supermarkets, banks and a chemist. There is a wider choice of everything in the nearby town of Lagos, which also offers historic buildings within the cobbled streets of the old town and a lively marina.

A choice of luxury 2 or 3 bedroom apartments with large balcony or terrace. These fully air conditioned apartments have a large open plan living areas with satellite TV and dvd/cd player, free wifi and a fully equipped modern kitchen.

The 2 and 3 bedroom first floor apartments have a balcony with sea view.

Fantastic Place Ideally situated

If you are considering booking these apartments, don't hesitate. My wife and I have spent a fantastic week here. The apartment is excellent and ideally located.

We arrived earlier than expected as check in is after 4 and asked was it possible to check in earlier, with out hesitation the receptionist said that the previous clients had only just left and it need ed to be cleaned but leave your number and we will contact you as soon as it is ready.

The apartment is quite spacious and open, exceptionally clean and presentable when we arrived and easily maintained thereafter.

I would recommend hiring a car as this gives you the freedom to explore many of the beaches along the coast and also adventure inland and see the real Portugal.

We are looking forward already to next year and hope to bring friends.

Our apartment was spacious clean and the views were stunning- especially from the roof terrace hot tub. It is a wonderful resort with great facilities including gym, indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna and spa treatment room.

Luz is a very beautiful town, lovely beach, nice restaurants and great food. We didn't have a car so either walked into Luz- around 25 minutes walk or we sometimes got a taxi which are really cheap. We also got a taxi to Lagos which is about 10 minutes drive away. Again taxi was cheap and we had a good day out there exploring the old town and it's little shops, followed by a few drinks in a nice little bar by the marina.

We are already planning a return trip for later in the year :)

5 star apartment lives up to it's name.

Fantastic, spacious, well equipped apartment in a modern and clean complex.

Walking distance to Luz and a short drive to Lagos or west coast surf beaches.

Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, balconies and sea view jacuzzi all superb; exactly as described and as illustrated in advert photos.

Very good communication in every dealing I had with the owner. Extremely helpful and a pleasure to do business with.

I would recommend this apartment without hesitation.

Fantastic location, stunning views

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment for so many reasons; the large balcony and stunning sea views over Luz Bay, the comfortable beds, the private roof top jacuzzi, the friendliness of resort staff, the indoor swimming pool & facilities, the security of the apartment complex, underground car parking and of course the location- quiet but 5-10 minutes (by car) to a choice of beaches, restaurants and supermarkets. Just perfect!

The beaches of Luz and Burgau are just a few minutes away by car or a 20 minute walk along a costal footpath. If you have a car it is well worth exploring some of the other many beautiful beaches the Algarve has to offer.


The nearest airport is at Faro which is just 60 minutes drive away. Car hire is recommended although not essential.

Porto Dona Maria is a private Resort set in a total area of 285.000 m2 of ecological/natural land. More that 40.000m2 of Porta Dona Maria is private sea front overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with fantastic views to Luz Bay and the entire coast line towards Lagos.

A fascinating walk of only 20 minutes on a rugged pathway along the Ocean will get you straight on the sandy beach + old part of Praia da Luz. A similar walk in the other Western direction will bring you to Burgau. While walking along the road into Praia da Luz you will find plenty of places to eat & drink.

The complex includes a large communal swimming and paddling pool, indoor health suite, heated pool, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna, gym and changing facilities all for residents use only. Within the spa is the reception which is open 7 days a week to help with any enquiries such as booking taxis, restaurants etc. There is also free Wifi available at the reception area. Within Porto Dona Maria there is a restaurant and snack bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Car hire is not essential but is very reasonable on the Algarve, taxi transfers are available. There is a bus stop next to the entrance for Porto Dona Maria.

Reception can arrange free delivery of groceries from the supermarket in Luz if you do not have a car.
