These stunning 2 and 3 bedroom apartments are located on the prestigious 5 star complex of Mar da Luz in Porto Dona Maria. Situated between Luz and Burgau, both are within a few minutes drive or a scenic walk along a costal footpath. The facilities include a communal pool, children's pool, spa with indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and fitness room. The nearby villages of Burgau and Luz have beautiful sandy beaches and numerous bars and restaurants. Luz also has supermarkets, banks and a chemist. There is a wider choice of everything in the nearby town of Lagos, which also offers historic buildings within the cobbled streets of the old town and a lively marina.

A choice of luxury 2 or 3 bedroom apartments with large balcony or terrace. These fully air conditioned apartments have a large open plan living areas with satellite TV and dvd/cd player, free wifi and a fully equipped modern kitchen.

The 2 and 3 bedroom first floor apartments have a balcony with sea view.

The ground floor 2 bedroom apartments have a private garden area with private pool. These apartments are an additional £150 per week.

The 2 bedroom with mezzanine have a private roof terrace with private hot tub. Some of these apartments have a sofa bed on the mezzanine. These apartments are an additional £100 per week.

Fabulous accommodation

This was our first stay at Mar da Luz but our sixth stay in Praia da Luz - we absolutely love it as it has the most beautiful beach with plenty of watersports to keep all the kids happy and numerous lovely bars and restaurants to keep the adults happy :) it a quaint town that hasn't been overly spoilt by tourism in the way some places have.

On arrival at Mar da Luz we were delighted. The resort was spotless and very well maintained and the apartment was fabulous. It's beautifully furnished with everything we needed to for a two week stay. Very good air conditioning, free wifi, spacious comfortable bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe space. Fantastic showers in the bathrooms. The best bit though was the private pool - We couldn't get the kids out! It was perfect being able to sit in our own private garden in the evening with a drink whilst the kids could play in the pool.

There is a communal pool which we also used for a change of scene. We also used the pool at Porto Dona Maria a few times which really is stunning with panaromic sea view. Although not part of the Mar da Luz complex the lady at the little cafe by the pool said if we spent money in the cafe we could use the pool.

Having stayed in a few places now in Luz this is our favourite and we will certainly be retuning.

DELIGHTFUL APARTMENT

WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED A RETURN VISIT TO THE PRAI DA LUZ AREA OF THE ALGARVE AFTER SEVERAL YEARS. THIS APARTMENT IS VERY CLEAN AND SPACIOUS AND EQUIPPED WITH EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY NEED TO SELF CATER ON HOLIDAY. LOVED HAVING A SMALL PRIVATE POOL IN THE GARDEN AND USE OF THE GYM AND INDOOR POOL WHICH WERE CLOSE BY . EVERYTHING IN RESORT WAS EXTREMELY WELL MAINTAINED WITH SECURE ACCESS.

WE HIRED A CAR-VERY GOOD VALUE!- TO VIEW THE LOVELY COASTLINE, MARINAS,SMALL VILLAGES,

LIGHTHOUSE ETC. THERE IS PLENTY OF CHOICE FOR EATING OUT IN THE NEARBY VILLAGES.DESPITE IT BEING THE LAST WEEK OF OCTOBER THE WEATHER WAS GENERALLY FINE AND SUNNY ON MOST DAYS MAKING FOR A LATE SEASON WEEK IN THE SUN BEFORE THE WINTER SETS IN-THOROUGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Perfect.

My boyfriend and I arrived in Mar da Luz in April 2014, it was our first time visiting Portugal. To put in simply, we could not have asked for a better holiday.

The apartment and the complex are 5* with extremely good security (key code gate entrance, private underground car parking and electronic shutters, key code safe) allowing for complete peace of mind both when leaving the apartment during the day and at night.

The apartment is large with 2 good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 amazing en-suite) and a large kitchen,dining and living area. Outside there is a private garden and pool. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to use the pool simply because its not warm enough during this time of year however in the summer the pool would be fantastic.

The garden and pool are maintained by staff and we were pleasantly surprised that half way through our stay cleaning staff arrived at the door to ask if we would like the apartment cleaned and provided us with fresh towels and dish cloths.

The apartment is located a short drive outside Luz. I would say that a car is necessary as Mar da Luz is quite a walk from Luz itself therefore carrying groceries etc back would not be an option for many. Wifi is available in the reception area, unfortunately it did not reach this particular apartment.

The complex offers a shared pool, indoor pool, sauna, stem room, Jacuzzi and gym which came in handy on overcast days.

The staff at Mar da Luz and Liz could not have been more helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to family or friends.

Thank you for a fantastic holiday, we are already planning our return!

Perfect Portugal

The apartment was very clean and well maintained and had a stylish interior. The complex has 2 lovely pools and a fantastic spa area which we used regularly. The complex never felt too crowded and there was always lots of sun beds by the pool.

I would defiantly visit Luz again and stay in this beautiful apartment.

Porto Dona Maria is a private Resort set in a total area of 285.000 m2 of ecological/natural land. More that 40.000m2 of Porta Dona Maria is private sea front overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with fantastic views to Luz Bay and the entire coast line towards Lagos.

A fascinating walk of only 20 minutes on a rugged pathway along the Ocean will get you straight on the sandy beach + old part of Praia da Luz. A similar walk in the other Western direction will bring you to Burgau. While walking along the road into Praia da Luz you will find plenty of places to eat & drink.

The complex includes a large communal swimming and paddling pool, indoor health suite, heated pool, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna, gym and changing facilities all for residents use only. Within the spa is the reception which is open 7 days a week to help with any enquiries such as booking taxis, restaurants etc. There is also free Wifi available at the reception area. Within Porto Dona Maria there is a restaurant and snack bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Car hire is not essential but is very reasonable on the Algarve, taxi transfers are available. There is a bus stop next to the entrance for Porto Dona Maria.

Reception can arrange free delivery of groceries from the supermarket in Luz if you do not have a car.
