About Mrs Judi Wildeman

We bought Taskus Barns in March 2010 to make a new life for ourselves in the beautiful surroundings of Cornwall. We worked for over 20 years in the pharmaceutical events field running our own event management company and it would be true to say we know a thing or two about hospitality and making people feel welcome. Over the last 20 years we have stayed in so many hotels around the world that their good points and their shortcomings have given us a real desire to come up with what we think is a lovely place to stay giving qualty, style and value for money. In fact, somwhere we would want to stay ourselves! Mulberry and Chestnut Barns are the result of our hard work.

Why Mrs Judi Wildeman chose Gwinear-Gwithian

We always like a challenge and Mulberry and Chestnut Barns, although very pretty, were looking very tired and in need of some TLC. So the renovating and updating began and we opened for our first guests in February 2011. We have tried to make them homely, stylish and comfortable, and the feedback from our guests seem to reflect this. You can be sure of a warm welcome, a friendly smile and a nice place to stay. Come and see us soon!

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. A beautiful converted barn, very tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, all mod cons, presented with a welcome tray on arrival. A wonderful place for an excellent holiday." - JMCross1 - Tripadvisor - Stayed Chestnut Barn 2011

"Stayed a week in the Mulberry barn. Beautiful barn conversation with modern facilities. Very clean, confortable and easy access to St Ives and beyond. The owners were very helpful. One of the best properties we have rented in the UK and are likely to return again in the future." Butty 1969 TripAdvisor 2011

"We spent a week at Taskus, and loved it! Judi had thought of everything to make our holiday perfect. A lovely welcome basket of bread, milk, cereals etc. etc. ready for breakfast next day, The linens, accessories and furnishings are all top quality, and nothing is too much trouble. We will certainly plan to go back." Mulberry barn

  • 5 of 5

Booked mulberry barn for me and my husband to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary! Location is very peaceful-great to unwind, yet within easy reach of the beautiful beaches and costal walks of Hayle/St Ives. Accommodation was very homely with lots of added extras! Very comfortable and spacious! Would recommend for a relaxing break away in the countryside! Great that it's dog friendly-jasper the dog had equally as good time away as us! Thanks to Judi, look forward to staying again in the future.
