Ideal for a family of 4 or 6 this 3 bedroom villa is located near the quaint harbour of La Duquesa. Accommodation consists of one double room with en-suite bathroom, one double / twin room, and a twin bunk room. En-suite bathroom has bath and shower with the second bathroom having a shower only. Fully fitted kitchen, large reception areas, and two sun terraces. The property has full WiFi and English TV. The Villa enjoys stunning views along the coast to Duquesa and beyond to Estepona. Its elevated position makes the use of a car advisable. Shared use of communal children’s and adult’s swimming pools with children’s play area.

Notes on accommodation: The accommodation is situated on a hilltop overloooking the port of Duquesa and beyond to Estepona. It's location makes the use of a car advisable. Outside: The property enjoys two terrace areas. The upper terrace is closest to the property and can be used for dining outside in the evening and has furniture and a gas fired barbecue. The lower terrace is larger and enjoys the sunshine throughout the day. Outdoor patio furniture is provided. The pool area is shared by residents only and consists of two pools, a shallow childrens pool and an adults pool. A lifeguard is usually in attendance during the summer months. There is a small unsupervised childrens play area with swings. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided. Cleaning and linen change can be arranged. For stays over a week a clean and linen change is included

Modern villa with great views

Easy access by car from the main coast road. The villa has a particularly great kitchen and the main room and bedrooms are also of a high standard. The views from the back of the villa are brilliant with both mountain and sea highly visible, at the time of visit there were eagles and vultures flying past which is wonderful for me to watch as a birdwatcher.

Hill top Villa Princesa Kristina

Fabulous Villa with all that you needed for a home from home stay. The views are, as described, Stunning by day and by night. Quiet, clean friendly area and is good if you want to get away from crowded holiday resorts and beaches. I have been to this area many times and will be coming back again next year. Care hire is essential if you want to get out and about and also because it is up a very steep hill, although it is worth it. So many great points and if you don't mind not having Wi-Fi, I would highly recommend this Villa

Owner's Response: Great to hear you enjoyed your holiday. As you say the hill top position gives fantastic views down the coast and Duquesa is a smart resort busy enough to have atmosphere but away from the crowds of the larger resorts. The property does benefit from Wi-Fi throughout which also allows streaming of a full range of English TV and movie channels.

Fabulous villa and facilities in a lovely area

The villa has spectacular views and a great setting on the edge of a nice urbanization. There were great facilities to make for a comfortable home from home experience - dishwasher, washing machine, and entertainment systems.

The furniture and fittings were tasteful, modern and all worked well such as the air conditioning. The bed in the master bedroom was large and very comfortable.

The outdoor space was large and private - great for sunbathing and eating plus there was plenty of outdoor furniture. It was nice having a stock of basics in the kitchen such as herbs, oils, cling film, and cleaning products etc so you didn't have to start from scratch.

The communal pools and areas were only 5 minutes walk from the villa, very well kept and not at all busy - it was great having a children's and adult pool.

La Duquesa was lovely - enough restaurants and bars, particularly at the Port without being too busy - at least in September. You do really need a car to stay here. We had some great days out - Malaga, Estepona, Ronda and Gibraltar were all worth a visit and took about an hour's drive or less.

The owner was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with, which all contributed to a very positive first experience of booking on Owner's Direct! I would definitely recommend a stay at this villa and will book it again in the future if we want to stay in this area.

beautiful villa

The villa is comfortable, spacious accomodation with stunning views, the photos really do not do it justice. The port itself didn't have much in the way to occupy teenagers as they wanted to do watersports but the villa is a perfect base for sightseeing. We had a lovely week.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed every single moment. The villa is well-equipped, comfortable and overall it is very well kept so we felt like home. The terrace is great with stunning mountain and sea views we will never forget. A great choice of music and lots of things that made our stay wonderful! The pools are clean and we enjoyed spending time there. A great value for money! We definitely would like to come back!!!

Great views, great place

Great place, great location, great views. What more can I say? Really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and tidy, very good facilities. Larger space inside villa and outside than photos can show. Lovely outside patios for alfresco dining. Hire a car for best use of the area...not too far from Gibraltar and/or Estepona and Marbella. Definitely book again if we are going to stay in this area on future visits to Spain. Only downside is lack of English TV channels (due to satellite cover in Southern Europe). Is strange that cannot receive BBC channels but can

Sky news and some CBS channels...even S4C! Never mind...didn't go to watch TV. Take some DVD's and maybe PS3 games as there is console there if you need to. Personally, a kindle and a selection of books was best investment for R&R time. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

Bars and restaurants are located at the bottom of the hill a 15 minute walk away. Duquesa is a 35 minute walk or 5-10 minutes by car. There are six supermarkets within a 5 – 10 minute drive. Major banks, post offices, and Pharmacies are located in Sabanillas and Estepona.


The nearest airports are situated in Malaga and there are also some flight into Gibralta. Malaga is a 60 minute drive away and Gibralta 30 minutes away.


Duquesa harbour 3km 7 minutes by car.

Sabinillas 4km 10 minutes by car.

Estepona 15.1km or 24 minutes by car.

Gibraltar 38km 52 minutes by car.

Malaga airport 94km 1 hour 8 minutes by car.

The nearest supermarket is a five minute drive away.

Further Details:

The Duquesa area hosts a plethora of wonderful, exciting and relaxing actives for the whole family. Everything from golfing to diving. And to take up those lovely evenings, some of the best food and nicest restaurants in Spain. The town of Rhonda made famous by Ernest Hemmingway is pleasant day excursion away from the coast. There are numerous other activities available Scuba diving, fishing and water sports being just three.

Booking Notes:
We ask for a deposit of 20% to confirm your reservation with the balance due eight weeks before departure.
Please note that as of the 1st of February 2014 the satellite feed to Europe has been transferred to a new satellite and there is currently no availability for UK channels. At the moment the only alternatives appear to be internet based which are not tested or reliable. There is a TV in the property with a DVD player and Playstation but at this time there are no UK TV channels.

Changeover Day:
Preferred change over day is Saturday but we are happy to discuss other alternatives. Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am.
