Apartment in Lagos Marina, Algarve, Portugal - Peaceful Location, Just A Few Minutes Walk From The Beach And Marina

Our property is almost new and has been comfortably furnished to suit a party of 4 people. Situated on the first floor of a small, quality development that has excellent facilities, such as the heated communal pool, jacuzzi, steam room and a large outdoor pool surrounded by decked areas for sun-bathing. The apartment also has a lovely big balcony that gets the sun nearly all day long if you want a private area to sun-bathe or to enjoy and al fresco lunch or dinner. The apartment is equipped to make your stay an enjoyable one a number of channels available on the large flat-screen TV, plus free WI-FI, books to read, plus a dishwasher, microwave, etc. in the kitchen. Air-conditioning is available for a little extra. Whether you are looking for a beach holiday, or to sample Lagos' legendry nightlife, or to admire the local historical sites around Lagos, our apartment is centrally located and within easy walking distance of all amenities, yet it's situated in a quiet street where you can unwind in peace!

Clean, lovely modern apartment, great location!

Stayed for a week, lovely clean modern apartment, great facilities and great location, 5 min walk to marina. Outdoor pool was lovely and quiet. Indoor pool, jacuzzi and steam room added luxury! Paulo, are resort contact was fantastic.

Fantastic apartment, very modern, secure. We had a lovely time staying here. Very clean, large balcony for outside dining. Pool area clean and secure. Had the pool virtually to ourselves for our stay. Good location, short walk to marina and Lagos town which has plenty of restaurants. 10/10 for location and apartment. PERFECT !!

Meia Praia, which is a long expanse of beautiful sandy beach, with several restaurants, is an easy 10 minute walk (750m by the shortest route or

900m by the road). Lagos town lies at one end of this beach and a picturesque lagoon lies at the other end. Great for long walks! Local buses can take you out to some of Lagos’ other beaches that surround the peninsula, such as Praia Dona Ana or Porto do Mos or you can walk from the town centre along breath-taking coastal paths to all of these beaches!


Faro airport is around 75kms away and it takes around 1 hour to get to Lagos if you hire a car and come on the motorway (tolls apply). However, a car is not essential unless you wish to discover other regions of the Algarve. There are cheap and easy ways to get from Faro airport to Lagos, such as by train, bus or shared minibus transfers. Taxis are also available, though expensive.


The property ticks all the right boxes with regards to location. Here are some distances from the apartment:

250 metres to the train station

350 metres to the marina (with its shops, restaurants, bars and internet cafes)

500 metres to bus station

750 metres to Meia Praia beach by the shortest route

900 metres to Meia Praia beach by the road

700 metres to large Pingo Doce supermarket

1km into the town centre via the footbridge

And the nearest restaurant / cafe is just around the corner.

Further Details:

There is live music at the marina most weekends. From the marina you can book fantastic activities such as sailing trips, trips to see the grottoes, dolphin watching trips, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, etc. The town centre is very cosmopolitan with a huge choice of restaurants and many lively bars and outdoor cafes. A calendar of live entertainment goes on throughout the summer months. The historic sites in the town include the old slave market (now an art gallery), the 'golden chapel' of St. Anthony and the fort next to the old town walls guarding the entrance to the river. There is a traditional fruit and veg market every Saturday morning just across the river from the marina and the fish market in the town centre is open 6 mornings per week. There is also a large gypsy market held on the first Saturday morning of each month, near to Pingo Doce supermarket. A little further afield, but within a 30 minute drive, the Western Algarve offers the autodrome racing circuit, the stunning pretty Monchique mountains with fantastic views from the highest point at Foia (903 metres) and the spa village of Caldas da Monchique, the excellent Slide and Splash water park, Lagos zoo, wine tasting, horse riding, walking, cycling, bird watching, golf and the unspoilt beauty of the Costa Vincentina Natural Park. There really is something for everyone!

Outside: There is a large outdoor communal pool surrounded by areas to sun-bathe, plus there's a great heated indoor pool, plus a jacuzzi and steam room and changing room / toilet facilities. These facilities are accessed from next to the main entrance on the ground floor of the block. There is plenty of free parking in the street for anyone planning to hire a car. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included. The apartment is cleaned once per week and towels are changed twice per week. Beach towels are not provided. Other: The balcony over-looks a cobbled square and there's enough space to sun-bathe as well as dine.
