Apartment in Champagny-en-Vanoise, Savoie, Rhone-Alpes, France - Direct Access To La Plagne/Paradiski

The studio apartment is located in the pretty village of Champagny and has a large south facing balcony with fantastic views. The apartment is right next to a ski run or less than 100 metres away from the cable car that takes you up to the La Plagne/Paradiski area or you could take a short drive to Courchevel and ski the 3 Valleys. The apartment has recently been refurbished and benifits from under floor heating. It's a lovely place to spend the summer with the telecabine opening for walkers or mountain biking, for a slower pace relax next to the open air swimming pool which is a short walk away from the apartment or the swimming lake in Bozel is less than 10 minutes by car. Annecy Lake is about an hour away and is so lovely during the summer, here you can go on boat trips, hire Kayaks or relax on the beach.

About the Owner

We purchased our apartment in Champagny back in spring 2011 and worked hard to get it ready for the 2011/2012 ski season. We live in Surrey (England) and have been skiing for quiet a few years now. We were not too sure if Champagny would suit our needs but once we went there we fell in love with it. It's perfect for skiing the huge paradiski area but in a lovely traditional little village. It's also a wonderful place to spend time in the summer.

We had a great time in Champagny. Thanks again for renting out your apartment to us; it’s perfectly situated for skiing in the area. The apartment was warm and comfortable, the shower wonderful. We prefer the quieter resorts that are attached to bigger ski areas and Champagny is certainly the best skiing “village” we have experienced, So, all in all, an excellent trip. Just returned from a great week in Champagny staying at this apartment. Located just above the main lift up to La Plagne skiing area & only a 20min drive from Three Valleys gives great scope for a diverse weeks skiing/ snowboarding.

My 2 friends & I found the apartment catered ideally for our requirements & has been given a modern make over with the benefit/ comfort of under floor heating & an excellent shower.

Great mountain views from balcony.

Just a short walk to all amenities of the village including pub, restaurants, spar, ski hire etc. Andy L 7/3/14

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Walking and Mountain/Quad Biking is very popular in the summer. The village is at the enterance to the Vanoise National park.

We have also driven to Meribel which is great for Mountain biking - this takes about 30 minutes.

Rafting and Horse riding is also close by.


The south coast of France is approximatly 3 - 4 hours drive away.


Chambery is the nearest airport which is 1 hour drive. Lyon, Grenoble & Geneva are all a 2 hour drive. Car hire is recomended and can be very cheap but public transport is also possible.

The Eurostar comes to Moutiers which is about 20 drive from the apartment, taxi, buses and car hire is then possible from Moutiers.

Bozel Lake - 7 min.

Conflans medieval village - 40 min.

Annecy lake - 1h,15min

Lake Roseland - 1h,20min

Further Details:

The village has an open air swimming pool which is open during the summer. There is a grocery store, butchers, patisserie, creperie, choice of resturants, pub and a night club. There is also a small cinema (but check language before buying your ticket!)

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment is on the first floor with a ski locker in the adjacent building. It is about 10 paces from the ski locker to the piste that heads down to the telecabine. Pets might be possible during the summer months only - check before booking. Outside: The large south facing private balcony benifits from the sun most of the day and has fantastic views of the village and mountains, it's a lovely way to spend breakfast or lunch. PARKING - There is a large undercover car park right next to the apartments which is very cheap otherwise there is plenty of free street parking in the village. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment will be cleaned prior to use. 1 double and 2 single duvets and pillows are supplied. We can provide sheets at a cleaning charge or you can take your own. Towels are not supplied. Other: The hallway alcove holds bunks for two adults. There is a large cupboard in the hall for storing cloths or your bags/suitcases. We do not recomend the single futons for sleeping on but it is a option. Iron,small ironing board and hair dryer is provided.
