Villa in Calle Lucena, Nerja, Costa del Sol, Spain - Short Walk From Burriana Beach, Yet Peaceful Location

A beautiful terraced villa a few hundred metres from the finest beach in Nerja, with close proximity to local bars and restaurant. The villa is situated on a small, mostly residential complex and consists of 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge/dining room, separate kitchen, cloakroom, large garage and use of a large communal swimming pool exclusive to complex residents. Bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) open out to spacious terraces and 2nd twin bedroom opens out to a small courtyard. Both lounge and dining room area have patio doors leading to terraces which have been equipped for "al fresco" dining with superb views of sea and Almijara mountain foothills. Satellite TV, CD/Tape player and radio are provided for your use. The fully equipped kitchen consists of cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, toaster etc. Both bathrooms have full sized baths with shower and bidet facilities. Tables, chairs, sun loungers and parasols are provided for your use.

About the Owner

We had long dreamed of owning a home abroad, but were undecided where. That is until we visited Nerja for the first time in 1999 and instantly fell in love with the town. We love the ambience of the town, the fact that it is not commercialised and still retains its character in the old town, with renovations done in a sympathetic way. There are always new areas to discover walking around the quaint streets of the old town and you will still see the older generation sitting on their front steps to strike up a conversation with any passing persons.

great facilities, great location.

we stayed at Karen`s property in oct 2016. it is very well equipped and close to the pool which we all enjoyed albeit, was a bit chilly this time of year but no surprise there! it is approx. under 10 mins walk to the front. quite a steep walk back up, but anywhere not immediately on the front will be in Nerja. Overall wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property if you are a party of 6 or less, nice and quiet but close enough to enjoy if only on foot. Karen was excellent on comms and nothing was too much trouble, would definitely book with her again, don't think twice she will make it a breeze for you!

Excellent Location & value for money

We visit Nerja a lot and usually stay with a friend but as we were a larger party needed somewhere a bit bigger. This apartment ticked all the boxes and was plenty big enough for our party of 5 adults. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you need. We cooked quite a lot in the apartment and things like a spice rack, salt, pepper and other basics really made a difference so that we didn't have to go out and buy these things. The pool just a few steps away was great and not overcrowded. I would absolutely stay here again and definitely recommend it. Karen was really helpful with the booking and Marc the agent was great in letting us check out a bit later on our departure day. All in all 👌

A great base to explore a lovely area

This was our first time in Nerja and I hope it won't be our last! Karen was really helpful with our booking all the way through. Travelling as a family with two active boys aged 8 and 11, the house felt spacious and the pool was great - not too crowded, even during peak season. The house is very well equipped (the pool paraphernalia was particularly handy!). There is no air conditioning, but an assortment of ceiling fans and portable fans do help with the heat. We spent balmy evenings on the terrace, and it was lovely to then wander out to the many bars and restaurants in walking distance each evening; Nerja has a lively and buzzing atmosphere, and is very family friendly. All in all, this is a great base to explore a lovely area.

Lovely accommodation

Great property set over three floors (with a garage) in an ideal location. Included everything we needed to have a great holiday experience, including plenty of kitchen equipment & utensils. There is a patio with sun loungers off the first floor & a balcony for outside dining just off the main living area. Booking the villa through the owner, Karen, was easy & her agent, Mark, met us on site at the start of our holiday to hand over keys & was on call to deal with any issues. The communal pool is just a few metres away from the villa was big enough for a swim & not too crowded. The villa has lovely views down to the sea & mountains in the backdrop. Burriana beach is just a 5 minute walk away down the hill & there are lots of local restaurants & bars to enjoy. There is an excellent supermarket just 10 minutes way. I would highly recommend this property.

A superb stay

We (2 adults and three children) stayed in this apartment for 11 days and had a wonderful time. The apartment was clean, the bedrooms spacious and the balcony wonderful in the evening :-) The pool nearby was a hit for the kids. The apartment has a super location near to Burriana beach. Mark, the agent, is very helpful and the communication with Karen has all the way been professional and clear. We recommend this apartment to anyone who wish to experience Nerja.

Lovely house, Great find

We have only arrived home today after 13 nights, we have visited Nerja several times, we even took our Honeymoon there. It's unspoilt and has some really good eating places. Breakfast at the Hotel de Balcone is highly reccomended as the views are superb across the bay. Sit at the tables outside the hotel for this. We did this most days!

Not cheap but in our opinion worth the money are Scarlettas, Hotel 34 and also La Brassiere. All these are located in Nerja itself and only a 15 minute very leisurely stroll from the house. There are plenty of cheaper places to which we used for lunch, on this occasion we didn't eat out in the evening much as we had our 1 year old daughter with us. She was also well provided for in the house and we only has to take our stroller. Most of the waiting staff seem to love children and she had plenty of attention.

There is a great larger Super Market just 10 minute stroll up the road and it's great in there. The seafood selection is fantastic if you like to cook..

We usually rent a friends apartment which is now for sale, now let me put this into perspective, our friends place is a very large penthouse on sale at 1.2 million.( they are wealthy, we are not) However we actually preferred this place.

We received communication prior to arriving, Karen was friendly but efficient on the rental front, Mark who runs things over there for them was excellent, friendly and the whole thing was seamless when we arrived.

After renting from friends we were worried that we might not get the same homely feel, but we need not have worried, it's lovely and clean, very homely and as Karen has already mentioned the kitchen is very well equipped, there are plenty of spices etc in the cupboards for the most adventurous of cooks, I used a few and did my best to replace them as I went.

The house is situated up a hill, but you can't get out from the beach without going up a hill and the reward is its much quieter up there. The pool on the small complex is excellent and gets the sun from around 11am right until 8pm when the pool closes, obviously that would be time of year dependent. The balconies also get the sun until it goes down and the wind out awning was useful when eating out there as it was hot until late... Not that we were complaining about that!

If we visit Nerja again and I'm pretty sure we will, this will be our first choice now.

We had previously stayed in this area and loved the fact that it was close to the main beach with all its amenities. The main town is easily accessable, but far enough away that the noise during Feria week cannot be heard.
