Villas in Brantome, Dordogne, France - Peaceful Location 15 Minutes Walk To The Beautiful Picturesque Town Center Of Brantome

Set on the edge of one of the most beautiful villages in the Dordogne, Brantome. Both villas are fully equipped and furnished to a high standard whilst retaining their own individual style. The villas are modern but retain the charm of the local Perigord style and are set in 2 courtyards within a small private development set in the grounds of a 17th century monastery with a shared pool. Each villa has a constant on air ventilation system. There is an underground car park with designated parking space to keep your car cool. Our guests can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the parkland in which the villas are set.

There is a supermarket 500 meters away. With a 15 minute walk into the centre of Brantome, you will find plenty of shops including a boulangerie, charcuterie, post office, restaurants, bars, several artists workshops/galleries and a weekly market. The town centre is a must to visit as it is encircled by the river Drone, you can enjoy a river tour or for those feeling more energetic you can hire canoes. The town also boasts an Abbey and pretty cobbled streets.

We stayed in Olivier and I believe that we are the first visitors since the new owners took over. The house has everything you would have in your own home. Probably the best equipped holiday home we have stayed in. It is beautifully furnished with a real eye for detail. Nice quiet complex. We will definitely be booking this house again later in the year. All the information on the area was very useful. D & A Drage. Hertfordshire. April 2012

Good Gite excellent location

Well appointed ,very clean comfortable Gite . The welcome basket was a lovely touch and very useful .A easy walk into Brantome . The Gite is in quiet attractive park land with a small well kept swimming pool . Lots to do and see in that area of France . Brantome is old interesting town . We would certainly use Gite Olivier again without doubt .

A very well-equipped gite on a lovely peaceful site but very near to Brantome

We had a great two weeks in the gite. Tastefully furnished and well-maintained. There was a lovely covered patio to eat out on which was good as the weather was hot. The pool was lovely and it was nice to meet the other people staying in the gites.

Brantome was a lovely base, not too busy but very charming and lots of good places to eat out.

Holiday in the Sun

Everything you could need was available and as described in the advertisement. Very quiet location with every amenity you could wish for, small swimming pool but adequate for our needs, restaurant on site although most of the time we did our own catering.

Super holiday

Our family, 2 adults and two girls, 15 and 11, spent a delightful time at Olivier in Brantome. We took the shuttle the day before our check-in date and broke the journey in Le Mans. On arrival we were extremely happy to have booked this property. It was immaculate and much more spacious than expected. The house is fully equipped and has its own garden on 3 sides. The property is in a complex of gites built in a tasteful style within parkland. The properties share the grounds with what was a hotel which has a lovely restaurant run by a welcoming young family. We ate there several times and had different things from the menu which never disappointed. They had a local band in the grounds one evening. Brantome is around a 10 minute walk on the road or 20 via a green lane. It is a beautiful town for sightseeing, canoeing, nice shops and plenty of restaurants, weekly market etc. Further out by car there are lakes with beaches, velorail, and beautiful villages. Perigeux is well worth a visit

This is the first summer holiday away from the coast and also to France. The owner was over and made a point of asking how we were and the lady who maintains the property also called to check we were happy with everything. The welcome pack was a nice addition.

We would definitely recommend this property.

We were absolutely delighted with the property, everything was as described and more.

The property was spotless, well maintained and the owner had provided everything one could possibly have needed for a comfortable stay.

The décor was lovely and the owner provided excellent customer service.

Great place

Lovely, well equipped gite with everything we needed. Very clean when we arrived and great shared pool. Close to Brantome (my husband walked in each day to get croissants for breakfast) and plenty to do there or further afield. Perfect complex of a small group of houses around 2 courtyards and we (2 adults, a 4 and a 6 year old) loved it!
