Dunstanborough, There are plenty of lovely little shops, restaurants real ale pubs and cosy coffee shops in the surrounding areas.

Adorable cottage in an ideal location

  • 5 of 5

Puddleduck cottage is an ideal base for exploring Northumberland with it being located in close proximity to the coast and countryside. Cosy and comfortable, it truly is a home from home. Upon arrival you are greeted with a lovely welcome pack and with the cottage being equipped with everything you could possibly need (kitchen equipment, bedding, towels and household appliances) you can literally just turn up. The owners (Neil and Janet) are a pleasure to deal with, very efficient and friendly. We would definitely recommend Puddleduck cottage and will be back very soon!

Lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at PuddleDuck Cottage . It is very comfortable and welcoming and very centrally situated for the town.

Car parking was easy a couple of minutes up the road . We were able to enjoy the Alnwick Food Market and stocked up on several items including a spacial Xmas Pudding.

We visited a lot of lovely sights in Northumberland including Alnmouth ,Amble, Craster and many more . We also enjoyed delightful weather .

If we re visit Alnwick we will stay in your lovely cottage.

Very well appointed, comfortable cottage

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the nicest properties we have rented as frequent self-caterers. It was true to its description in the on-line specification. The whole experience was very comfortable and we would be very happy to return in the fiture. The property had lots of homely touches and had obviously been well planned in its refurbishment for the rental market. We appreciated the generous welcome pack and the way the owners did not stint with kitchen utensils and tableware (something we have often found to be very frustrating!)

beautiful cottage !

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Puddle duck for 3 nights as part of my partners birthday celebrations. We have visited Alnwick before but have never stayed in the town centre. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival to find how close the cottage was to all amenities, restaurants, pubs and shops etc. The cottage was more than we expected and we entered to find it lovely and warm ( it was really cold outside ) and the heating was already on. Puddle duck is beautifully presented, clean and welcoming. Everything we could have possibly needed was included and Janet (owner) has thought of everything a guest might need or want during their stay. We planned to eat in, but quickly found the great little italian restaurant next to the fleece inn amongst other eateries we found during our stage. We enjoyed all that is Alnwick but the icing on the cake was staying at puddle duck. We hope to return as soon as possible. Thanks Janet for such a great time !

Perfect location and cottage

  • 5 of 5

Puddleduck Cottage is perfectly located for Alnwick - so close to the centre, Barter Books, the Castle, Treehouse restaurant and Hulne Park all within a short 5-10 min walk. But the cottage is quiet and intimate. Lovely courtyard area. Very well equipped with everything you'd need to self cater for as long as you're staying. Brilliant pub up the road for ales and cost fire. Welcome pack was excellent (free wine?!) and much appreciated after a 3 hour drive. Very accessible to the coast and castle at Bamburgh and Dunstaburgh. Overall, a fantastic place and can't really imagine why you'd stay elsewhere. Book now, or regret it!

Just Perfect

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect cottage this is. Conveniently located in Alnwick and very quiet. There was everything and more in the cottage that you could possibly want. We stayed for a long weekend and felt very 'at home'. The wood burner is a fantastic feature, one we made use of! Lovely welcome gifts on arrival and the whole cottage was very clean and cosy.
