Bright spacious apartment which is centrally located for all of edinburgh and beyond, this apartment provides the ideal place to stay and relax with many extras provided such as wireless internet, essential food/breakfast items, complementary toiletries, dvd's cd's, toys books, games. The accommodation consists of t shaped hall, large lounge with 32in TV and leather sofas. Fully equipt kitchen with full cooker, fridge/ freezer, washing machine and dining area, dining room, master double bedroom with en-suite shower room. Twin bedroom with 2 single beds which can be linked together to make a king. This room can also take a cot or extra guest bed. The bedrooms have a lovely view of arthurs' seat while the lounge looks out onto the shared garden area. Garden chairs are provided. Wwi, cot, high chair, baby bath all provided.NON SMOKERS ONLY

About Carol

Having a preference for self catering holidays since my children were young, I like to think I know what extra touches make a good holiday in to a great one and I hope that is what everyone will experience staying at my Apartment. I have lived in Edinburgh most of my life and really love the City and all the diversity that it has to offer and I hope you will enjoy it also.

Why Carol chose Edinburgh

The location is very central with many of the tourist sites with a short walk and therefore no need for a car not even for self catering as there is a large supermarket with ATM and Pharmacy open till 10pm every night beside the apartment.It also has a good bus service from the main road. Most of all it is a safe quiet area.

What makes this apartment unique

When you chose self catering I think it is important to be able to shop for food easily. This apartment has a supermarket just beside it. It is also well served by many buses from the main road to allow you to experience all of edinburgh and beyond from the zoo in the west to seaside in the east without the extra cost of having to hire a car. A car is not required due to the central location, however if you are coming by car there is a free dedicated off road parking space at the apartment, so no parking fees. Holyrood Palace and Park and the Royal Mile are only a 5 -7minute walk away.

“Wonderful stay in Edinburgh - highly recommend”

The apartment is conveniently located, walking distance to Royal Mile. Super market across the street - as kitchen was stocked with breakfast items we had no need. Very clean and spacious property. Carol our host was wonderful, very friendly and had folders with helpful information for the area.

Apartment has free wifi and is located in quiet area with parking stall.

We hope to visit Edinburgh again and would definitely stay here!

“Fantastic Apartment”

We stayed here for three nights whilst visiting family. Travelled with my Mum Dad and my two children (6, 2) and we had a great stay. Carol was very welcoming and had thought of everything to make the children feel at home. DVD's, toys, children's towels, games... My children felt very at home. The kitchen being stocked with essentials was a great help and the homebaking went down a treat.

The apartment was ideally located......walking distance from Hollyrood Palace. Super market( Sainsbury) was just across the road. Nicely maintained property & was spacious for a family of four adults. The host Carol had equipped the apartment with all toiletarries & kitchen with cereals, milk, juice, bread, butter & jam.Carol was very friendly & had given tips for travel to & around Edinburgh. Located in quiet area & still close to Royal Mile. Will definitely stay at this place during our next visit.

“Perfect in every way!”

I'm so glad we found this last minute apartment as we will be staying here again! Myself and my 5 month old baby boy went with my mum and dad who are in their 70's.

The apartment itself is spacious and clean. It has all you would need and more! It felt like a hotel having breakfast items already in the flat and all basic essentials you would need. Having a cot and high chair available meant a lot less to take in the car. Beds were comfortable and the cot had a proper mattress in it. Free dedicated car parking space and free wi fi.

Shops literally a 2 minute walk across the road were a godsend. Only a short bus ride into town centre and taxi only cost £6.

Carol is a lovely host and bent over backwards to accommodate us!

Only downside is no lift, which would be fine if you are fit and healthy. Did get a bit much for my parents but only going up them. There aren't many stairs and they are in 3 sets rather than one big staircase. We managed it with the baby and would stay again so cant have been too bad.

Portobello beach is a short car/bus journey away, around 15 minutes and the beach is beautiful! Sandy and clean with amusements and the normal sea side shops. Dog Frie

Bright, quiet apartment. Great for family.

The apartment was perfect for us: my husband and I and our 3 year old. Clean, quiet complex. Bright, spacious apartment. It was nice with a toddler to have a full kitchen: we had breakfasts and many dinners at home. Carol was a wonderful host and had cereal, milk, orange juice, bread and coffee/tea already there for us. She met us in the apartment even though our flight was delayed and immigration was a terrible line! Very child friendly: plenty of toys, puzzles, games, books and dvds. My daughter especially loved the bed all made up for her with princess bedding and Cinderella towels! Carol made us feel right at home. The Sainsbury grocery is literally less than a block away. Holyrood and the base of the Royal Mile was about 15-20 minutes walk (with 3 year old in tow), probably more like 10 for an adult at brisk walk. Walking distance to many restaurants, Old Town, New Town and convenient to Lothian buslines. Would stay here again and definitely recommend.

Great flat, close to city centre and Royal Mile. Lovely and homely with everything you could need.

This flat is perfect, it is walking distance to the Royal Mile and city centre, across the road there is a Sainsbury's and some other shops. There are bus stops just up the road with a good regular bus service all around Edinburgh and beyond. The flat has everything in it you could need, is very comfortable and homely. Carol is fab and met us when we arrived and showed us around the flat and let us know about places to visit and the bus service. Carol also left some provisions (bread, butter, milk, preserves, tea, coffee, sugar, condiments, cereals) which was much appreciated. We had a great stay and will be back.

Very clean, well equipped and great location

Had a lovely break at Carols apartment, good beds , showers , plenty of towels. Good choice of breakfast cereals provided. Great location with a retail park right on the doorstep though I didn't even realise it was there ! The place was very quiet and no traffic noise athat all. Would highly recommend this listing.

clean, well maintained and centrally located

The description of the apartment was accurate. It was clean, well maintained and centrally located. Carol, our host, supplied us with clean, fresh linens and towels as well as toiletries for our shower and bath. Carol also supplied us with breakfast fare consisting of cereals, juice, coffee and assorted teas as well as toast and butter. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, dishes and the like to enable you to put together a meal if you so desire. There is a grocery store within easy walking distance from the building.

The apartment is centrally located, the Royal Mile is about a 10 minute walk from the building, bus stops about the same.

We felt secure walking about any time of the day throughout the Edinburgh area as the people are naturally friendly and helpful.

Carol is a wonderful host, readily available by phone or in person. She made out stay most enjoyable.

Great Location, excellent hostess

We had a wonderful stay at Carol's property. It was within easy walking distance of the Royal Mile - even for my 70+ year old mother. It's also right across the street from a Sainsbury, which made shopping easy. Carol met us at the property when we arrived, we did not have to wait, she had loads of helpful information for us to use while visiting Edinburgh located within a binder. A little welcome milk, orange juice, bread, butter, and whiskey was much appreciated after our day of driving up to Edinburgh. My mom had a difficult time with the beds, said that they were rough on her back. Aside from that one difficulty - everything else was perfect, I highly recommend Carol's property to anyone visiting Edinburgh.
