Welcome to Garramarsh Farm where you will find Mole Cottage, (converted in April 2010) and Oak Cottage (converted in July 2013). These cosy, two-story cottages are tastefully decorated, and offer excellent holiday accommodation. Situated in the beautiful North Devon countryside, just 13 miles east of Barnstaple and 8 miles south of stunning Exmoor National Park. Whether you are looking for miles of golden, sandy beaches to lie on, roaring surf to ride, stunning coastal cliff-top walks, the spectacular, rugged nature and wildlife of the moors, cycling, horse-riding, golf, sailing - you will find everything within easy reach. The cottages sit detached from the main farm house and have their own private sitting areas. They are both fully centrally heated. Heating and power costs are included in the rental. Ample parking is available adjacent to the cottages. Private River fishing just a 2 minute walk from the cottages is available if required.
Stuart & Lesley purchased Garramarsh Farm in September 2015, which has fulfilled a long held dream to live in Devon. We have been married for 37 years & have 3 grown up children & 2 grandchildren.
We are both originally from Buckinghamshire where we ran a family owned construction company. We were lucky enough to exit these stressful jobs & escape to Devon
We look forward to welcoming you & will do our very best to make your stay enjoyable.
Lesley Robinson purchased this cottage in 2015
We purchased Garramarsh Farm because it was absolutely perfect for us. It is in a place we love & somewhere that we hope our guests will enjoy too. North Devon is a very special place. We have Exmoor & the beach more or less on our doorstep. Garramarsh is in a quiet, secluded location with wonderful views, & yet only 5 minutes from the amenities of South Molton
A holiday at Garramarsh Farm offers you the peace and quiet of the gorgeous Devon countryside and private river fishing on site. Yet our cosy seclued cottages are just a short car ride from the small bustling market town of South Molton. A local cattle market is held each month & also a weekly farmers market on a Thursday morning. The Panier market is held on Thursday & Saturday
Thank you very much for my 4 night stay at Mole Cottage. It was very cosy, warm, peaceful, in a lovely location.
Changeover day is normally Saturday. The accommodation is available from 4pm and should be vacated by 10am on the day of your departure.
Notes on prices:
Private river fishing is available at an additional cost.
We will also consider bookings of less than 4 nights outside of high season. Pricing for bookings of 3 nights or less may vary from the rate quoted on the site
We stayed for a few weeks as we're moving into the area, and couldn't have found a better base. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped, and the owners very friendly and welcoming.
Thank you Stuart and Lesley for making our stay so enjoyable.
The property is very clean and tidy and well maintained.
The owners are extremely pleasant and helpful, pointing us in the right direction for a variety of places to see, things to do and different ways to entertain 5 children.
We stayed for a week at the beginning of June and found Mole Cottage to be everything we could have wanted. It was well equipped with all that we needed and more as we did not need to use the washing machine and dryer. We found the cottage to be very clean, having in the past needed to clean before we started our holiday but with Mole Cottage we did not need to do anything like that.
The cottage had views over the hills, with a stream nearby and a very picturesque drive through the village of Alswear to reach it. The local town of South Molton was only about 3miles away and was a very nice country town with a weekly market. This area was also well placed to visit most of Devon, being near the middle of the county.
We found Lesley and Stuart very welcoming and they were able to supply us with fresh eggs.
Lovely cottage absolutely ideal for us, cosy spacious bedroom and lounge, had everything we needed. Great location for visiting Exmoor and North Devon which was why we chose to stay .Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. Thank you Lesley for the welcome.

This is one of the best places we have stayed the cottage is so quaint and charming it was a real pleasure to stay somewhere so truly beautiful. The cottage had everything we needed it was so lovely coming back after a busy day putting on the log fire and curling up with a good book. We would definitely recommend and we hope to come back next year for longer
This was a great place for my son and I to stay after some long walks. It was a well equipped and comfortable cottage in a very peaceful setting. We received a very warm welcome from Sandra and Mick who made us feel very much at home. When down in Devon we will certainly return.
