Farmhouse in Symondsbury, Bridport, Dorset, England - Peaceful Location, Just 5 Minutes From The Market Town Of Bridport

Our changeover days are Mondays and Fridays. Please contact us directly for Midweek and Weekend prices. Our minimum stay is 3 nights over the weekend or 4 nights during the week.

Crepe farm house is a top of the range, 5 Star, luxury house with a large private garden, indoor pool, sauna and hot tub. Ideal for extended family groups or large parties, it comfortably sleeps 17 in its 8 spacious bedrooms. Just 5 minutes from the market town of bridport where you will find numerous individual shops as well as major supermarkets. There is a street market every wednesday and saturday and also a very popular vintage market on the last sunday of every month. Bridport is famous for being a 'foodie' heaven with fantastic restaurants, bistros and tea rooms. There are plenty of artist studios to visit and galleries plus the electric palace cinema with live music and comedy nights. The beautiful beaches and cliffs along the jurassic coast offer plenty of walks and fish restaurants, a handful of which are recommended on our website.

Symondsbury Estate has been owned by the Colfox Family since the early 1900's. This is an area of natural outstanding beauty, Symondsbury Estate is nestled in the rolling hills of West Dorset, rural and peaceful and yet just 5 minutes drive away from the market town of Bridport and a 10 minute drive to the Jurassic Coast.

What makes this farmhouse unique

The property is a beautifully renovated large farmhouse, with plenty of room and with something for everyone in the family. Its large enough to house 17 people comfortably and with its games room and swimming pool there are plenty of nooks and crannies for all the guests. With a large garden and plenty of varied seating areas its just perfect! Most of the visitors that have been to Crepe tend to rebook!

This is our 3rd visit to Crepe Farmhouse! Won't speak about the facilities because we know they are 10/10 but must add that the cleanliness and tidiness is also 10/10! Owners have got it right for the perfect holiday and god willing we will be back for our fourth holiday here! Thanks!



Fantastic Time! The kids just loved the pool & games room & jacuzzi. Beautiful setting, we will be back! We have had such a lovely time in your beautiful house, the location is so special and we enjoyed walking to the top of the "hairy hill", thanks so much! We have all had so much fun, cycling walking & relaxing with friends. Fabulous house and the kids have all had a ball!

Notes:
Outside: There is a large sun terrace with hot tub beside the indoor pool, with sun loungers, gas barbecue and a table with benches for outside dining. The swimming pool has a sauna, changing room and showers and is accessed through a large games room with a pool table and table tennis. There is a large walled garden with various seating areas and in addition a lawned area to the front of the house. The perfect spot to put up a marquee for weddings or special occasions Utility Room: There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and plenty of space for outdoor clothes and equipment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: We provide crisp white linen for the beds, white fluffy towels and dressing gowns. Linen is not provided for the cot. The house is cleaned and managed by our team of workers to a very high standard every week on our changeover day which is Friday. Other: The house also has a spacious dining room with a large table and chairs. Although the house offers everything you could possibly require to self cater we also have two caterers which we would highly recommend.

Superb

I loved this place. We hired it at the very last minute after our intended venue was flooded and knew that we might have to settle for somewhere less than perfect given the short time frame available, however, we lucked out when we found Crepe Farmhouse.

The house is a genuine stone farmhouse with bags of character and original features yet with modernisation where it's required i.e. in the kitchen and bathrooms which were all very new, very clean and up to date. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with 3 ovens, 2 dishwashers, large double door fridge-freezer and every utensil and gadget you can think of. The pool house was fantastic, it was in constant use all weekend as was the hot tub, sauna and games room.

The basement room was a real bonus, a big HD TV with Sky package including Sky Sports was welcome surprise for the men that thought they were going to miss their weekend football fix and with the addition of a couple of disco light bulbs it became a fantastic night club venue for the late Saturday night party goers.

Credit must be given to the customer service of the owner, Wendy and the Symondsbury Estate team, they were extremely helpful when we were rushing around like headless chickens trying to find a suitable venue to host 17 people at a 50th Birthday weekend with just 3 days to go and they maintained their high standards through out the weekend, nothing was too much trouble.

I didn't see much of the surrounding area but I did get a chance to walk through the picture perfect village of Symondsbury and walk up to the top of Colmer Hill (great for clearing your hangover and working up an appetite for a full English farmhouse breakfast) and we also stopped at West Bay, setting for the TV drama Broadchurch, which was just 5 minutes away by car.

All in all I could not have been happier.

Totally Amazing .

This is the most amazing House .

My family and I spent fri to mon making beautiful memories.

Everything about the place was perfect. The pool was huge for a home pool with changing rooms, showers, sauna, Table tennis, pool table, outside hot tub. Cinema room. Fantastic bedrooms 3 on suite . 2 other bathrooms the same floor as other bedrooms. Our room was on- suite and on the ground floor.

Which was what I needed as unable to do stairs very well. Loved the huge fire place and log fire.

Kitchen huge with everything you need . Little quiet lounge with tv. What more could you ask for, it's perfect.

We also had a lovely roast at symonsbury Kitchen on the Sunday.

The whole estate is fab with lovely little shops.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful place ..

The Jurassic Coast is a 10 minute drive away with beautiful beaches and cliff top walks including West Bay, Eype Beach and Lyme Regis (the only sandy beach in the area) which is about a 15 minute drive away.

Travel:

Exeter Airport 45 minute drive, Bournemouth Airport 1 hour drive, and Bristol Airport 1 hour 30 minutes.

Distances:

Crepe Farmhouse is in the heart of the Symondsbury Estate. The village of Symondsbury is just a few minutes away. The famous Colmers Hill is definitely worth a walk to the top to see the spectacular views. Bridport Market Town is just a few minutes drive away with markets both on a Wednesday and a Saturday.

For all Mountain Bike enthusiasts, we have built a 8km trail and skills area/bike park around The Estate for our guests to use, available for all ages and abilities.

Bridport boasts numerous individual shops as well as Waitrose, Morrisons and Lidls. Bridport is famous for being a foodie heaven with fantastic restaurants, bistros and tea rooms.
