Period Cottage in Braunton village. Perfect Holiday Retreat. Beautiful beaches

Updated: 22-Oct-2016
Cottage in North Street, Braunton, Devon, England - Beach 2 Miles, Village Pub 200 Yards, Many Family Attractions Nearby

Our spacious cottage, originally part of Devon Longhouse, has a rustic charm enabling you to relax and slide into your holiday. Braunton village can provide you with all your food provisions during your stay (be it morning croissants, takeaway lunch or tea, dining out or fresh ingredients for a little home cooking) leaving you to concentrate on visits / trips / activities / relaxing on the beach. The log burning stove that nestles in the red brick fireplace creates a lovely evening atmosphere with which to plan the next day or curl up with a book or favourite film. The large kitchen is well equipped with the farmhouse table providing plenty of room to enjoy meals together. Upstairs, there are three comfortable bedrooms, one kingsize, a double and one twin room, with a fully tiled, family bathroom that has a power shower. There is also a garage enbloc around the corner for your use which will take an average family sized car (We fit an S-max in it).

Lovely cottage, and places to visit. Very handy for everything – plenty of great meals out, we haven’t cooked anything! Yvonne & Avril, Sept 2009

Nice, spacious cottage, a great base for exploring N.Devon. Particularly loved beaches and Tarka Trail. Deborah, Kevin & James Cole, July 2011

A fantastic cottage & wonderful local area – what a week. Trips to Clovelly (wear sensible shoes) Woolacoombe, Barnstaple, we even braved surfing and zorbing! Nights by the fire were amazing. Tamara Pitt, Lawrence Holland & friends, April 2010

Really impressed with this property, excellent value for money. Three lovely bedrooms - the master is huge and beautifully decorated. Great location - 5 minute walk into Braunton village and a good choice of local restaurants and shops. A number of beautiful beaches within a 15 minute drive.

Great stay. We always stay in Braunton as love this little village. The house was lovely and warm. Perfectly clean. Had all we needed and more to be as comfortable as we could have hoped. Will surely stay again in the future.

A very comfortable cottage in a superb location

  • 5 of 5

We have had a great week at North Street, a lovely cottage very quietly situated in the heart of Braunton - so easy to get to the spectacular North Devon coast. The cottage sleeps 6 people comfortably with 3 spacious bedrooms, a large and well-equipped farmhouse kitchen and a cosy lounge with woodburner for relaxing evenings by the fire (logs provided). What made the stay extra special for us was the owner, Nic, whose helpfulness & approachability at all times were much appreciated as we did not know the area at all. Highly recommended - we did not want to leave!

Simply wonderful

  • 5 of 5

North Street is a lovely cottage set in the heart of Braunton. Perfect location for enjoying the many restaurants and activities whilst only a short car journey to great beaches. The cottage itself was spotless on arrival with everything catered for. The log burner was a real treat and the cottage is furnished beautifully. The whole booking process was easy with the owners on hand for any queries. Overall a lovely place to stay and definitely the best accommodation we have stayed in in 20 years of visiting Devon. Thank you!

From the Owner

It's great deciding what to have for tea and within 10 minutes either having been shopping you are cooking, or have returned with your takeaway or are sitting in your favourite restaurant.... a different one for every night of your stay. A different beach for every day of the holiday too, sitting round the fire in the evening, watching the flames, playing games and having a great time with the family.
