Guestbook comments from the manager

We have stayed in many cottages over the years but this is by far away the best. It has set a standard and may be impossile to match. What a fantastic week we have had. Helen and Paul

Had another fantastic holiday just like the last times. It's our 5th year running! Still haven't climbed the hill.

Magnificent house. Fabulous hostess.

Every part of the property exceeded my expectations.

The kitchen was huge, well equipped, loads of space for cooking and preparation and everything you would need to cook with.

Lounge very large, comfortable and well furnished (as was each of the other areas of the house). Didn't expect an extra sitting space and the conservatory was vast and well equipped and a wonderful space for the kids to play - owner provided lots of toys and games. Husband enjoyed (playing with) using the log burners.

Wrap around garden had a goal for the footballer and again the owner provided a ball and clearly enjoyed hearing the kids playing and having fun.

Upstairs was amazing. Comfortable beds, plenty of storage, 2 good sized and quality bathrooms - clean, light and relaxing. The host provides plenty of pillow and good quality bed linen. Each room was full of quirky features in keeping with the age of the property. My kids loved the double room with the additional room above. Kind of like a bed room den.

The views from all round the property were fantastic. The sense of privacy and remoteness was wonderful and yet Linda the owner was close at hand for advice and brilliant suggestions of where to visit and local places to dine.

My family loved staying here and have already asked us when we will return. We will go back- we have returned from our holiday really relaxed and happy - our stay at Cefn Coch helped us achieve this.

A beautiful cottage, very well equipped, we didn't want for anything. Three generations of us stayed for a week, and all of us loved it. Plenty of games , cards, dvd,s books ect for those rainy days. Lovely to have the cows and sheep just over the fence . We didn't want to leave and hopefully will be going back next year.

Amazing place, quiet, secluded, warm, welcoming. This feels like a home from home. There's nothing to want for - impeccably clean, excellent condition, superb facilities including a brilliant selection of books, music, videos and DVDs, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment, 2 outdoor taps and a cute rabbit who came to visit! A treasure!

Hidden gem

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic cosy Christmas break here despite appalling weather. The property is spacious, comfortable and homely with lots of room. But in reality we just enjoyed living in the warm well appointed farmhouse kitchen with its range cooker and in the huge sitting room with its log burner. We did also love the utility, boot room where we could throw all our wet walking gear down and it all dried beautifully.

Everything is well appointed to a high standard and immaculately clean, duvets are thick, towels soft. But the care of the owner, providing lots of extra touches like Christmas tree and decorations and making sure the place was warmed up before we arrived are what make this extra special and a real 5 star holiday experience. We will certainly be hoping to come back.
