Family friendly villa, private pool, garden and beautiful views. Very peaceful.

Updated: 19-Sep-2016
Modern and spacious villa, close to Javea and only 5 km away from the seaside.

Villa Adelfa is a spacious and modern villa, build on a 2000 sq. m. plot and is fenced with a haque of cypresses, which provides lots of privacy. It has beautiful views on the valleys and mountains. The beautiful garden has mature trees, olive trees, oleanders, palms and behind the house grow orange, lemon- and figtrees. There is a large parking-space behind an electric gate. Large private pool, 11 x 5 m, outside shower and a stone barbecue. There is a covered outside area for eating and sitting. Because the villa is L-shaped, all its rooms have direct access to the exterior pool-area. Both bedrooms have airo and ceiling-fans and large build-in closets. The huge kitchen has everything you need. The villa is situated in a peaceful location, near to the beaches of javea, the old town and port. The nearest golfcourse is 3 kms. The Alicante and Valencia airport are both about 1 hour and 15 min. Drive. This villa is perfect for a family upto 5 persons or two couples.

Superb villa in convenient central location

  • 5 of 5

We selected this villa because of its great location and the wonderful reviews it had received. The villa was accurately described and had all the facilities that we could possibly want. On arrival, we were met by Nadine who keeps the villa nice and clean. She showed us around and gave us some advice on where to shop, etc. The villa was even more impressive than the photographs had suggested - although we were a little disappointed that the white curtains had been removed from the porch area by the pool. The pool itself was fantastic and provided our whole family with hours of enjoyment every day. Ben and Lynn provided an exceptional service. Their communications were always friendly and prompt - they are rightly proud of their property which was beautifully maintained.

We found that the location was perfect for visiting the shops and restaurants in Moraira, El Portet and Javea (town and beach). With the current exchange rate (pounds to euros) being so good, we eat out more often than in - we particularly enjoyed the restaurants on the sea front in Javea Town. The sea food, from the local super-markets, was also excellent value.

I would recommend this property to any family or friends keen to spend some time in this area. We will certainly be back in touch with Ben and Lynn next time we are planning to holiday in the Costa Blanca.

Owner's Response: What a shame we didn't know about the curtains. We could have told you they were kept in a trunk together with some toys etc. Our guests can choose to use them or not. In future we will be more clear about this.

Great Villa, Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

This villa certainly exceeded our expectations. We have stayed in many properties over the years and this is easily the best. The level of communication from Ben and Lynn before we left the UK and whilst there was excellent. The Villa was remarkably well equipped and we couldn't think of anything that was lacking, apart from maybe some 'plastic' glassware for drinks around the pool area. To be honest there was so much stuff that we could well have missed them....and the couple of teenagers with us are just about careful enough. My only disappointment was the lack of aircon in the lounge area. The bedrooms have it and are great retreats from the heat of the day, but I feel it would be the icing on the cake if the villa had a unit in the lounge. I think Ben is considering this. Of course, outside of the peak temperature seasons, the floorstanding fan would suffice. I don't want to be too negative about this, as the villa really is spot on! I would definitely recommend this Villa to friends or family.

Regarding our time spent away from the villa; The following comments/recommendations are based on our experiences this summer and not intended as guarantees ;).

The Arenal - Great beach and plenty of cafes to choose from. In our experience, get there for approx. 9, stay till 12, grab a spot of lunch and head back. The beach gets really busy and of course hot (don't let the breeze fool you!)

Javea Old Town - Super old town, with many shady narrow streets to wander around. Good market on Thursday (not just for tourists). Park underneath it (2 levels) in the Plaza de la Constitucion, municipal car park. Really cheap parking in the shade. Found a good café just around the corner from the Post office called KBarET. Nice coffee and tostadas for breakfast at a very reasonable price.

Montgo Restaurant - We were disappointed this year. Poor Paella (tinned veg) and overcooked swordfish steak. Nowhere near as good as last year.

La Tasca - Jesus Pobre - Great find. Lovely Italian food at very reasonable prices. Watch out for the Buratta starter though. It is enough to feed 3-4 especially if going for a Pasta main. They should advise you really. Great lamb cutlets.

La Cocina - Javea Port - Very nice restaurant with interesting twists on some Spanish classics. Have a glass of their 'favourite red'! Really nice.

The Eroski at the commercial centre in Ondara is handy if arriving via the E15. SuperCor and Mercadona are on the road between Javea Port and the Arenal.

Great Villa!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 2 weeks mid August 2014 and had a brilliant time at this this well equipped villa.

The pool is excellent and situated in large terraces and gardens.

The setting is very tranquil and yet only a short drive from Javea port and beaches.

Hope to back soon...

Beautiful Villa

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful villa with a great pool in a lovely location. Fabulous 2 weeks in a peaceful setting with beautiful views. However, despite being in a tranquil location the villa is in easy reach of the beach and town. Its a good base for travelling around to the lovely beaches at Javea and Moraira.

My wife and I spent two wonderful weeks at this fantastic villa, on the 14th June 2014. We were desperately in need of rest and relaxation and we certainly found it in these peaceful, picturesque surroundings,

with the stunning mountain backdrop.

The villa had everything that we could possibly need and was a short 10 minute drive from Javea Port or Denia Port.

We could not more highly recommend this villa, we will be looking to rent again next summer.

Ben and Lyns Villa

  • 5 of 5

Seclusion, privacy, peace and quiet. The most perfect getaway for those wanting chill and relax in one of the most beautiful parts of Spain.

The villa is beautiful, immaculately maintained and cleaned and with every possible convenience you could want plus more. You really feel like you’re in own little paradise.

The location is semi rural yet only a very short distance from all that you need including Javea itself. Such a beautiful old town set slightly apart from a stunning coastline with restaurants, bars, shops and abundant character The water is crystal clear even in the small fishing port and marina. Explore all the little coves along the coastline to find some real hidden away treasures.

Then back to the amazing villa to chill and relax, BBQ and swim. Perfection.

From the Owner

We came upon this house and fell for it. It was new, modern, private and set in a beautiful location with breathtaking views on the valleys and mountains. Lots of birds, beautiful plants and with pitch-black skies at night with millions of stars. A perfect place to get peace and quietness, yet very close to all the things you may need. Javea and other villages are about 3 km. away and the sea is nearby at 5 km. The area of the Costa Blanca is beautiful. When you go inlands, you'll discover lots of unique unspoiled places.

From the Owner

Villa Adelfa has the best of both worlds; the peace and quietness of the protected nature of the Montgo mountain, and the lifelyness of Javea with its beaches, restaurants and port at 10 minutes drive. The unique thing about Javea is that is has 3 separate parts. First there is the old town with its narrow alleys, ancient church, weekly market and lots of restaurants and bars. Secondly there is the Port area with its fishing- boats and fish market and last but not least there is the Arenal area with its lively boulevard, child-friendly beach and lots of restaurants and cafe's. In the weekend you will find many Spanish family's taking a walk. There is a lovely health-spa at the Mariott Hotel nearby (at 3 km). Also situated there is the La Sella Golf course with it's 36 holes. Denia is 5 km away and here you can get a ferry to Ibiza. Inlands, nearby, is the village of Xalo in the middle of a wine growing area.
