Luxury furnished and equipped 2 bedroom apartment in the exclusive Quinta das Palmeiras complex in central historical Lagos. With bars, restaurants, shops and all amenities within walking distance, a car is not necessary. The complex has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with many sun terraces, a jacuzzi, gym and play area. With a fantastic cafe and supermarket on your doorstep. There is also off road secure car parking, video entry system and 24 hour security. The apartment is fully air conditioned, with satellite TV and DVD. There are 2 large bedrooms (these can be either twin or double rooms)there are also 2 bathrooms, one has a hydrotherapy bath and the other a walk in shower. There is a separate kitchen and also lounge/dining area comfortably seating 6 adults. A large sunny balcony which can be accessed from both lounge and kitchen. Seating table for 6 and sunbeds provided. There is also FREE wifi.

About the Owner

I currently live in Dublin with my wife and 2 children. Working for ourselves, we decided that we wanted a bolt hole for when we need to recharge our batteries. Having first gone to Portugal in 1997 we fell in love with the country and decided this was where we wanted to invest.

We discovered Lagos in 2006 and knew we wanted to purchase a property there. We chose our apartment because of its fantastic location, every time we go to Lagos it's like home from home. We never seem to tire of Lagos, and when leaving we are already planning our next visit. Having visited many other countries, the one thing that we can honestly say is that Lagos is not over-developed and there is still a sense of community, with the locals welcoming all visitors.

Perfect for our holiday

We have been to the algarve for over 30 years and know Lagos well. We wanted a week break with no hassle, no need for a car, close to the town, restaurants and shops plus beach. Apartment 305 delivered. The apartment being 2 bed roomed was spacious for the two of us, very clean and good facilities. The shower room was perfect after a hard day sun bathing. We did not expect a sea view as the apartment is within a block close to the town centre. Balcony was large and south west facing so sun in the afternoon. The pool was big enough for a little swim and a cool down. There was always enough loungers. There is a lovely cafe as part of the block for breakfast or lunch. We mostly did our own breakfast and lunch in the apartment and then made the short walk into central Lagos for evening dinner. We can recommend the Quay restaurant on the Marina and Orangery steak on the stone as well as spending the day at Dumas Beach Club on Meia Praira beach. Forget about wasting time waiting for your hire car and use VIP transfers who will transport you door to door with style.

Great property, great location, great value

Property had great facilities. Apartment was clean, had everything you needed, including the basics such as toilet paper, a few dishwasher tablets, a few washing tablets, really helpful to save purchasing a large box that you do not need. Kids loved indoor pool, which was great for mixed April weather. Location was very central, very close to supermarket and easy walk to the town, marina and beaches. Owners were also very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again if in Lagos.

wonderful holiday at stunning aparment

We booked the apartment on advice of my daughter and her boyfriend as they had stayed at the apartment in June. We really were very pleased with our choice. On arrival we were met by Syl their agent in Lagos, he could have not been more helpful giving us all the information on the apartment and the Lagos area.We had never been to Lagos before, what a lovely town it is. The location of the apartment was great, we never had any more than a short walk to anywhere. We ate at the Frescoes Cafe a few times and the food was lovely. Hope to return one day. Great holiday at lovely apartment

Our first time to lagos and certainly not our last booked the apartment on recommendations from a friend who had been there before.We really did get lucky the apartment was great the pictures on the website don't do it justice it really was luxury.We didn't hire a car so the location was great only a very short walk to the town of lagos ,next to the apartment was lagos bus station which meant we could travel everywhere we wanted to go.We hope to return to lagos soon and we will definitely be renting this apartment.thanks again aideen&conor

Stay there in September had a fantastic hoilday apartment was fabulous loads of space everything we needed for our holiday.Location was great very close to all lagos has to offer.Really enjoyed on site cafe food was very tasty and very well priced.Owners were very professional to deal with we have booked again for April 2015.THank you very much

Location

We purchased the property because of its fantastic location and the five star facilities that it offers, we have not been disappointed. The complex is well managed in the hope that all visitors and owners are not disappointed with their visit. Lagos is a fantastic location, offering both peace and quite and yet has so much to offer. The old town has a medieval theme and has lost none of its' charm in the 21st century. With plenty of restaurants to try, all only a five minute stroll from the apartment. Bliss indeed.

Nearest Airport : Faro at 80 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : O'Artista at 0.2 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Palmeras at 2 Kilometres Nearest Train : Lagos at 0.5 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : A22 at 3 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Fresco Nearest Beach : Meia Praia at 1 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The Algarve has a host of beautiful sandy beaches. Lagos is lucky to have 2 of the most beautiful, Meia Praia and Praia Batata.

Travel:

Faro is the nearest airport, about 80 Km away. The A22 Motorway will get you there in approximately 50 mins. Transfers to the apartment can be via taxi, airport shuttle (bus) or hire car. Once at the apartment a car is not necessary as everything is within walking distance.

Distances:

The Old Town of Lagos is 10 minutes walk, it contains buildings including the castle wall and fort, with cobbled streets filled with bars and restaurants. The Marina is only 5 mins walk over the pedestrian bridge and has its own selection of bars and restaurants. There are a number of Supermarkets only a couple of minutes walk away.

Further Details:

Lagos Area has many things to offer for many different types of holiday. There are sightseeing opportunities with an area steeped in local history. We have 2 beautiful beaches for the sun worshippers. We have Golf for the enthusiasts. We have all that a major Marina can offer, with boat trips to secluded grottos and trips to see the local dolphins. We have theme parks and a local zoo for the kids, along with a play area within a secure complex. We even have peace and quiet if you want that too.

A non-refundable Booking Deposit of 30% is required to secure a confirmed booking. The balance of 70% to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival date.

A security deposit of €200 is required against damage or cleaning issues. Fully refunded when Agent confirms all is well, this sum is payable with the 70% balance.

Flexibility on less than 1 week may be possible, especially out of the main season.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day flexible. Apartment to be vacated by 11.00 am. Arrival 3.00pm onwards.

Notes on prices:
Prices are based on a occupancy of up to 4 people. For extra guest, a maximum of 2, will be charged at an additional cost of €60 per additional bed space provided. Payment by bank transfer. A non-refundable deposit of 30% when booking, balance of 70% and security deposit to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival.

We can arrange special deal for long term lets.

We are extremely fortunate with our apartment. We have a superb cafe on site which offers a fantastic choice of food. We have both an indoor and outdoor pool, a fully equipped gym, our own secure car parking place. The complex is truly a five star standard. Next to the complex is a supermarket which always seems to come in handy. Every convenience has been taken care of. Near enough to the crowds, but yet far enough away for peace.

They will meet and greet you and help you settle in, if you have a late arrival time they will give you a code to enter the apartment upon your arrival and meet you the next day. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The bed linen and towels will be changed at the end of each week, for a stay of more than 10 days. .
