The apartment is ideally situated in the heart of the fishing village and is a two minute walk to the stunning waterfront overlooking the Ria Formosa nature reserve. Cabanas remains largely unspoilt and has a friendly, family atmosphere with an excellent choice of restaurants, bars and cafes catering for all tastes.
There is everything you will need to make your holiday a wonderful, memorable experience.
After taking holidays in Cabanas at regular intervals for over 30 years we took the plunge and purchased a property.

Cabanas has remained relatively unchanged in all this time and is still the quaint little fishing village it was all those years ago.
Holidaymakers who stay in the village of Cabanas seem to fall in love with the place and return year after year.

The main benefit of our apartment is the location! It is right in the heart of the village, central to all amenities in Cabanas but away from the hustle and bustle of bars and restaurants.
The Boardwalk is just a few minutes stroll away as are the beach taxis'.
The apartment is wonderful, clean, modern and has all that you need and more. In a great location and located just a few steps from the from the board walk. Its just far enough back that the noise of the bars are out of ear shot, but its just a quick walk back. Would defiantly come back again
Die Ferienwohnung hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es ist alles da, was man so braucht. Auch für vier Personen ist ausreichend Platz. Geschäfte, Restaurants und die Strandpromenade sind fußläufig erreichbar. Die Wohnung liegt in einem ruhigen Wohnviertel. Die Vermieterin war freundlich und zuvorkommend und auch immer erreichbar. Alles in allem, ein Grund zum Wiederkommen.

Special interest holidays:
Fishing is still quite prominent to the village as is evident by the many fish and seafood restaurants in the village with tuna, sardines and razor clams always available, and if you want to go fishing yourself, there is always someone willing to take you.
There is an excellent Kite-surfing school on Cabanas beach (Eolis) which has rave reviews.
Golfers are spoiled for choice with some of the best courses in the Algarve within a half hour distance. The closest being Benamor is just 5 minutes away,
Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima can be reached in 10 minutes, the Jack Nicklaus signature course at Monte Rei is about a 15 minutes drive and you can reach Castro Marim, Quinta do Vale Golf Courses within 30 minutes.
Coast/Beach:
The glorious white sandy beach of Cabanas is accessed by a two minute taxi-boat ride, which transports passengers all day across the estuary of the Rio Formosa to the other side of the sand bank. A Blue Flag beach, Cabanas has clear waters, blue lagoons and beautiful white sands, and never seems to get too crowded
Travel:
Faro is the nearest airport and is approximately 45 kilometres away. We would recommend a car, but this is not essential.
There is a Railway Station at Conceirçao (10 minute’s walk from the apartment) from which you can travel the length of the Algarve from Vila Real De Santo Antonio, a historic market town renowned for its linen on the Spanish Border, all the way to Albufeira.
Distances:
If you want to venture further afield the picturesque town of Tavira is a 10 minutes drive from Cabanas with plenty to see and do amid its cobbles streets, beautiful architecture, historical castle, ancient roman bridge crossing the River Gilao and ample traditional restaurants and bars. Sample the delights of another Country by visiting the quaint border town of Ayamonte which is 20 minutes away or travel further afield to the vibrant City of Seville in under 2 hours.
Further Details:
Cabanas has many restaurants and bars serving traditional Portuguese dishes along with locally caught fresh fish, grilled on an open fire the traditional way combined with the fine wines of the region. There is a post office, bank, cash points, newsagents, supermarket, fresh produce and fish market, butchers, bakeries, hairdressers, and chemists for your convenience

Booking Notes:
Non refundable €100 deposit to be paid at time of reservation, balance to be paid 1 week prior to arrival date. Delayed payments may cause cancellations. We advise you to cover risks of cancellation in your holiday insurance.
Ceiling fans are fitted in the living room and both bedrooms which are usually adaquate to cool the apartment, there is a cost of €5 per day for use of the air units should you wish to use them.
Guests will be met at the property on arrival and provided with keys, there is always someone available to deal with any concerns.
A welcome pack of water, milk, sugar, tea, toilet rolls will be provided.
Changeover Day:
During July and August changeover is generally a Saturday, although we do try to be as flexible as possible.
Arrival 3pm, Departure 11am (can be earlier/later by arrangement, depending on following guests).
Notes on prices:
There is an extra cost for heating in the winter months and £5 per day for use of the air conditioner during summer months.
