The apartment is our own private home which is used often throughout the year. Furnished and decorated to a high standard, the apartment sleeps four comfortably. Ideal location for enjoying Frigiliana, with easy access and parking just minutes away from the old village. Spacious & fully equipped to be able to enjoy yourself with everything to hand. Aspect ensures the apartment remains nicely cool throughout the warmest months, and is a really comfortable escape for the colder months. Internet/wi-fi throughout, Sky News & selection of english-speaking channels (though not BBC & ITV etc, Sky moved the satellite!) tv/dvd, good music & film library and you can use a USB on the TV to play your own movies or favourite programmes. Power-shower/bath, proper heating, sep utility for drying & ironing etc, first floor, quiet building.

Fantastic Holiday - Superb Apartment

This apartment met all our needs throughout our fantastic holiday in the Moorish Village of Frigiliana. The apartment is beautifully designed, spacious, very clean, and comfortable with a fully functional kitchen. We loved the provision of excellent quality bed linen and towels. The apartment is ideally located close to the bars, restaurants,(several of which are coeliac friendly) shops, and Bus Stop in Frigiliana. The information folder provided by the owner was an extremely helpful guide on things to do in the location. This superb apartment contributed enormously to our fantastic holiday, and we would highly recommend this apartment to others. We will be back. Val and Phil.

Perfect for Families or Couples, Clean and Spacious.

The owner and the lady who looks after the apartment in Frigiliana are so accommodating. You could not ask for better communication and service. Nothing was a problem for them and a lovely touch with a cold bottle of wine waiting in the fridge when we go there. The old part of Frigiliana is beautiful and so many lovely restaurants to eat in. The pool in the village is very clean and lovely for an afternoon dip. A car is recommended for the stay and there are so many places to visit and see. The only downside for me is that the apartment does not have air conditioning but I knew that before we booked it, the owner told us before we went and it is in the manual on how to keep the apartment cool, it does work but I think air conditioning would be a benefit in the main bedroom. The kitchen has all the equipment you need to stay in a cook. And yes despite no air conditioning I would stay again as you could not ask for more helpful and accommodating owners. The apartment is spacious and clean, lovely. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Wonderful holiday in Frigliana

Beautiful apartment in one of the nicest places we have visited. Apartment is very modern, clean and contains everything needed with extras. Very spacious and in a lovely and quiet area of town but only minutes walk from restaurants bars and shops. Will definitely be back. Many thanks John and to the lovely helpful Victoria. Great Apartment Home!

We stayed at this apartment for 3 weeks and would definitely come back. We have family in Frigiliana so visit for extended time periods and need a base that has all the amenities of a home.

This property is everything it says and more - clean, organized, well-maintained and stocked with everything you need for day-to-day living. You can tell this is someone's well-loved home and not just a rental property.

The kitchen is well stocked for cooking with plenty of serve-ware and cooking utensils. The baths (1 full bath with extra-long tub/shower and 1 half bath) are clean and spacious. Both bedrooms have decent mattresses and closets. The clothes washer is good and easy to operate. There is a utility room that served us well for drying clothes on a rack as it rained a lot while we were there. Also a small terrace for drying and another one for sitting just off the master bedroom.

The Wi-Fi was reliable - not always the case in this village! The owner had thought of all the things that make it easier to live away - extra clean linens, paper goods and soap to start your stay, a bottle of wine to kick off your vacation, information of recommended activities and restaurants and a binder filled with all the appliance instruction manuals. The last being much appreciated as the washers are different in Europe than the US.

We did have an appliance issue but the property manager and owner were on it immediately - even though it was the week-end. The manager is very attentive and reachable - a great asset for a rental.

All in all, we would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay in Frigiliana - especially for an extended period of time. It is located in the newer section of town (quieter - especially during fiestas) yet close to everything. This village is beautiful and you feel like you get a chance to really live the Spanish life – in comfort.

We Have Just returned from a Wonderful holiday in Frigiliana,Thanks John for a brilliant stay in your Apartment . it was everything we could have wished for,The Apartment is Beautifully Furnished to a very High Standard and Very Clean and had everything we needed and more, Lynne who met us was Brilliant Very Pleasant and very helpful. Loved It!

We absolutely loved staying at Johns apartment. It has everything you could wish for and it feels like a home away from home. The apartment is beautifully and practically furnished, with great pictures. The beds are very comfortable! Also the location is very practical, since it's located at the beginning of Frigiliana and it's a short way down to Nerja. Even though on the "mainroad" it's perfectly quiet. Just a couple of minutes away leaves Victoria, who helps you out with everything you should ever need. We will definitly come back!

For the avoidance of doubt, can I just please clarify regards location for potential guests; the apartment is located next door to the main 'Mapfre' office, and opposite cafe-bar Andalus, and as such located on the main road into the village (as opposed to the main 'Frigiliana Road' down to Nerja). The apartment is about 5 mins walk from Virtude's Cafe and the entrance to the old village. Thanks,

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Local beaches in Nerja accessible with a 10 minute drive. Some additional more secluded/nicer beaches within a further 10 minute drive along the coast.

Travel:

Malaga Airport is 60 kilometres away on a direct motorway link, and the drive takes approximately 45 minutes. Local & regional public transport is reliable and cheap. There are also many organised excursions available locally. Car hire is advisable for more independent travel/exploration of the wider Andalusia area.

Distances:

The village has several grocery shops, a bank, chemist, post office, gym, outdoor swimming pool and a wonderful choice of restaurants and bars. The village also has several shops with locally hand-crafted gifts. There are four large supermarkets in Nerja, and a Lidl supermarket about 5 mins drive away.

The village is surrounded by a beautiful, protected National Park and is very popular with walkers from across Europe.

Velez Malaga, El Ingenio large shopping centre/bowling alley/cinema 15 minutes.

Granada Alhambra 1 hour 30 mins, booking necessary. In Frigiliana there are 3 banks, chemist, a baker, a butcher, a fish shop lots of eating places and bars. There is a large outdoor pool with adjacent sports centre and gym and a tourist information centre. Frigiliana is a walker's paradise. In Malaga there is the old town to explore and the Picasso museum and art gallery.

Rhonda 2 hours. Seville 3 hours. Cordoba 3 hours. Malaga 45 mins.

Cool in summer and very cosy in winter, and although quite central the building is a very quiet one, with the majority of the 6 apartments in the building being owned by very friendly locals. The building is very safe & secure. Please note: the TV system has about 15 english-speaking channels as standard, including Sky News (but not BBC/ITV etc). The TV has a USB port for playing your own movies/recordings. Outside: There is a local community pool about 10 minutes walk away. Parking directly outside or within 50 metres or so is usually available (and never a problem to double-park for unloading etc). Full internet access / wi-fi throughout.
