About Stephen Jones

I am a solicitor and live in London.

Stephen Jones purchased this farmhouse in 2004

Why Stephen Jones chose Tarn

I purchased La Sabaterie in 2004 after a holiday with friends in the beautiful Tarn. I wanted a property situated in the countryside where I could relax, with plenty of space for our active family and friends, but not too remote from a village.

What makes this farmhouse unique

The house is situated in the valley of the Tarn nestled between the sunflower fields and vineyards. It is close to the village of Lisle sur Tarn (6 minute drive) and the market town of Gaillac (7 minute drive). It is a 45 minute drive to Toulouse airport.

Fantastic holiday

  • 5 of 5

We have been holidaying with family & friends in France for 10+ years.

We stayed at La Sabaterie last summer and found it to be an amazing house with everything needed for the perfect family holiday - in all the years we have been visiting France we have never returned to the same house apart from La Sabaterie which we have booked again for 2015.

Thank you

Fabulous

  • 5 of 5

Eleven of us stayed for two weeks (Children ranging in age from two to twelve) and had the most amazing time. The house is fabulous and so well equiped with everything you could ever need, including bicycles, hats, sports equipment and pool toys. A real home from home. It's very spacious so you never feel on top of one another and the balcony is a great place to sit at sunset. The local town of Gaillac is lovely and has a supermarket that sells everything and there are vineyards within a mile of the house which are very good. We tend to really relax on our holidays and don't go far but we had a day canoeing (Which was recommended by Elizabeth the owner) and we were not disappointed. Gaillac is also a lovely town for shopping and eating out and Albi, which is mentioned in the information is fabulous. I spoke to the owner, Elizabeth before we travelled to the house and while we were there and i can honestly say that she was a delight. We have been holidaying in France for nearly six years now and we all agreed that this is the best house that we've stayed in so far. Book it, you won't regret it!
