The Apartment is owned by Patricia and Denis Carter.

We live in Newport South Wales. This is our retirement retreat on Lanzarote. Sitting on the balcony, sipping a drink and worrying about too much sunshine is our idea of the good life. Puerto del Carmen is very modern with dozens of top quality restaurants at reasonable prices.

My wife &I have stayed 10 consecutive yrs at this appt and have booked to return in October 2014.

We have always found it clean & Derek & Nadine who look after it are always there to help.

My Wife and I consider this apartment was first class. Our 3rd Owners Direct Apartment we have stayed in and the best so-far. All the fixture and fittings were first class. Very clean through out with no complaints. The apartment is well looked after by an English family living close by. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for excellent accommodation in Lanzorote.

Best little apartment ever!

I have stayed in this apartment many many times and have booked more times to stay. It is a perfect apartment. Close enough to all the facilities of town, yet far enough away to have peace and quite. It is delightful apartment beautifully clean with all the home comforts you need. It is a place I would recommend to friends.

From the Owner

All of the property in Puerto del Carmen is to a high standard. Many apartments are on complexes with a pool and these can be rather noisy in the summmer. Also the lounge/diner is across the building allowing maximum light through the french windows. The mature gardens are delightfull.

Activity and Interests


2 minutes walk to the magnificent lanzarote beaches. This side of the island faces east toward the Sahara dessert 60 miles away. The waves are always gentle. The west facing coasts on the other side of the island face New York and there is nothing in between to stop the wave build up. Worth hiring a car to go and see. There is surf boarding at Famara on that side.


The airport is 10 minutes by taxi.

Car hire is not needed at all unless you wish to tour the island.


The Capital Arrecife 8 Miles.

The Volcanoes 12miles.

Further Details:

The promenade is only 2 minutes walk on the flat and all modern facilities are available. The beaches have para-gliding, scuba diving, fishing expeditions and all the normal deckchairs and umbrellas etc.

There is a market in teguise ( the old capital) on Sundays and a coach trip can be arranged. A car hire or coach trip to the mountains of fire is very exciting. One drives through old lava flows to reach the tourist area at the centre where the volcanoe is still hot and the heat is used to cook food in the restaurant.
