Combining coast and countryside, Greenacres is an excellent venue for large families or groups seeking coastal pursuits, surfing and relaxation. A very spacious 5 bedroom house with a private and enclosed garden, 6 bathrooms, including four en-suite shower rooms, ground floor bathroom , a walk-in shower room and a Hot Tub by Easter 2018.

Set back from the Atlantic coast road in the hamlet of Treburrick between Padstow (4 miles) and Newquay (9 miles) with far reaching views over mellow countryside and towards the sea. Greenacres caters for groups with a spacious and well-appointed interior centering on practicality, comfort and style.

It is positioned off the beaten track yet only a 15 minute walk to Porthcothan Bay and many coastal walks - one of the 'Seven Bays for Seven Days (Harlyn, Trevone, Mother Ivey's Bay,Booby,s Bay, Constantine & Treyarnon)

Porthcothan is a white sand, dog friendly beach sheltered from the Atlantic breeze by craggy headlands and backed by grassy dunes. Good for surfing (Waves Surf School operates all along this stretch of North Cornwall’s coastline) and a favorite among families with lifeguard patrol during the peak summer months and shallow rock pools. There is a PH with great views of the bay& a shop at the entrance of the beach selling local produce.

First Floor: Bedroom 2 large Double with En-Suite Shower Room and WC. Bedroom 3 large Double with En-Suite Shower Room and WC. Bedroom 4 Twin with bunk beds and En-Suite Shower Room and WC. Bedroom 5 Large twin with En-Suite Shower Room and WC.

Other amenities: Free BT Wireless broadband, iPod dock, well equipped kitchen with dishwasher& freezer. Games room with Books, Toys & Table Football. Towels, bed linen, stair gate, 2High chairs &1 Cot. Oil central heating included. Pets welcome at owner's discretion at £25 each per week. Garden size is approx 80 x 60 ft., child friendly, enclosed with one gate in/out to side of house. Seating for 12ppl in the garden.

Nearby at Watergate Bay are the renowned Extreme Academy Water sports school and Jamie Oliver's Restaurant Fifteen.

The Beautiful harbour town of Padstow is within a 5 minute drive and has many great restaurants (including Rick Stein & Paul Ainsworth) ,fishing trips, Sea Life Safari's, The National Lobster Hatchery, The Camel Trail (beautiful & safe cycle ride along the Camel estuary),speed boat rides ,great gift ,local produce & clothes shops and frequent ferry service to Rock.

Bedruthan Steps is within a 2 minute drive and offers a lovely National Trust Tea Room and the local hotel has a fantastic spa with many beauty & relaxation treatments available. Best local PH the Cornish Arms (Rick Steins) is at St Merryn.

The Eden Project, Bodmin Moor, several Golf clubs, beaches and seaside towns are all within a short drive.

A welcoming residence for families to come together after fun days out, standing detached along a quiet road with only a handful of other properties, it occupies a peaceful setting for a truly relaxing break. The grand entrance door opens onto a large hall/reception room and level ground floor accommodation. To the rear is a well fitted kitchen, utility room and conservatory (which most guests will utilise as a dining area) with large sliding doors to the rear garden. Safe for children and pets, the garden is enclosed and offers a high degree of privacy, garden furniture and distant sea views. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor with access to the ground floor bathroom and separate shower room, which would suit guests with limited mobility. A sitting room and a TV/games room with wireless broadband, DVD, books, games & Table Football, provides ample space for children and Adults. Located on the first floor are four large en-suite bedrooms including two double bedrooms with views over the front aspect towards rolling countryside and two twin bedrooms(one with additional Bunk Beds) with views over the rear garden towards the sea. There is off road parking for four cars.

Even at my age, I still enjoy the body boarding and my family think its the best holiday ever,maybe its the simplicity that children love,they never seem to get bored,which is a real plus.I hope that my future Grand children and guests will enjoy this house for many years to come.

We have recently returned from a weekend trip to Greenacres as a group of friends for a birthday celebration. Such a fantastic weekend! The house was clean, warm, spacious and generally lovely! Treburrick itself was very pretty and we had a lovely evening walk to a welcoming pub nearby and porthcothan bay was beautiful. Very close to watergate bay which was great for surfing and also the camel trail to Padstow. Jayne was a brilliant host and very helpful with any questions we had. Definitely recommend!!

Big house in a good location

We were a family group of 9 people - plenty of space for all of us to enjoy eating and relaxing together but also plenty of space to do our own things. Lovely garden, warm comfy house with everything we needed.

Easy to drive to the lovely local beaches.

Easy and efficient communication with the owner throughout.

Beautiful large property in great location

Greenacres was absolutely perfect for our stay having plenty of room for 3 couples and all of our children. It was clean and spacious and had pretty much everything you'll need to make a perfect base for a stay in this lovely part of Cornwall. The layout of the house really suited us with a nice quiet twin room downstairs for the grandparents and then 2 doubles, a twin, and a children's room upstairs. All upstairs rooms were en-suite too meaning you never had to wait for the bathroom to be free!

The closest beach, Porthcothan Bay, is great and has a small shop. However, at busy times parking is limited. We didn't attempt to walk however as the walk didn't seem suitable for young kids.

Wadebridge is a short drive away with plenty of shops and other things to do. We particularly enjoyed cycling the Camel Trail to Padstow which is highly recommended. There are plenty of beaches nearby to choose from but these also get busy in the summer holidays. We couldn't get to Mawgan Porth as the car park was full by mid-morning but Watergate Bay was just a few minutes further on and was great.

I would recommend Greenacres for large families or groups looking for a base close to Wadebridge, Padstow and Newquay but away from the busy touristy areas. Jayne, the owner, was very helpful and spoke to me at length about the area. We'd definitely come back again.

Perfect Cornish Family Home

Family of nine including three children, stayed in August 2017. We had a wonderful time. Property was perfect for us, big enough for us all to have our own space and not be on top of each other. Bedroom spaces are huge and helped with each having their own bathroom. Location rural so you will need car to get out and about even for essentials, however, on saying that, location was perfect as a base for exploring Cornwall with Padstow and Newquay within 15 minutes. We certainly made the most of it and went to Lands End, Port Isaac and Tintagel Castle. Clean and catered for all our needs, thank you Jayne.

A fantastic, well located and well appointed house.

We love Porthcothan and this part of Cornwall and to find somewhere so well located was in itself a major coup. For the property to also be so well appointed was a massive bonus. We were two families sharing and there was plenty of room for all of us to chill out, watch TV, eat dinner and also to find some space at the same time. The bedrooms are all large and airy and well decorated and tastefully furnished with lovely ensuites. Pretty much the only thing we found any fault with was the wifi coverage - not great and not fast enough for teenagers. Other than that I have no hesitation in recommending the property and will certainly be looking at this house the next time we come to Cornwall.

Great base for a family holiday

We were a 3 generation family group plus dogs who all had a wonderful holiday at Greenacres. The house was truly welcoming, well-equipped and provided a perfect setting for all that Cornwall has to offer. Not only is the house really well set up for a traditional family holiday but it is perfectly placed to reach many of the main attractions of the area while still enjoying a peaceful location with great views from a well-fenced garden

Warm, comfortable, clean and welcoming.

We are a group of friends who wanted to visit Padstow Food Festival and enjoy a bit of 'me' time! Had lunch at the Scarlet and a massage at The Bedruthan Steps both of which are only a few miles away so very convenient. Some lovely coastal walks too!.

Greenacres is very clean, warm and comfortable. It is very well equipped with lots of space and in a quiet location with fabulous country views. It also looked freshly painted. Couldn't have asked for more. All in all a very lovely stay.

Booking Notes:
The rental runs from 16.00 hrs on the day of arrival untill 10.00 hrs on the day of departure. A firm booking will be made on receipt of a 25% deposit of the total rental due. The balance is due 10 weeks prior to arrival. In the event a booking is made within 10 weeks of the arrival date,the full amount will be due at the time of booking. Deposits are not refundable, however if we secure a replacement booking then a full refund will be given. Our insurance does not cover personal items.

Changeover Day:
Flexible, arrival at 16.00 hours, departure at 10 AM. Depending on the time of year, we may be able to offer a different times.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
