About the Owner

I grew up in the town of Upton-On -Severn (6miles away) so I am local. I have a good general knowledge of the local area and the activities and events. I am a senior citizen and work hard to keep my garden tidy with lots of flowers etc.We have ornamental fish pools.I feed two wild cats plus I have my own cat.I am an animal lover who looks after lots of wild creatures eg hedgehogs, mallards and pheasants that fly in for feeding.!! I have made friends with many of my guests some have been returning for as many as 10yrs. Why not visit my personal web page www.2peacocks.talktalk.net for further information. My hobbies are animals, gardening, crosswords and puzzle books. I love to enter competitions when I have time.

Living Church of God - Festival Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our accommodation was excellent, and met all our needs. It was well equipped, cozy and clean. The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The surrounding grounds were full of flowering shrubs and lots of decorative points of interest e.g. garden statuets, pond with geese, ducks and chickens, and it was a pleasure to see. We would highly recommend it.

Peaceful and Secluded Chalet at the foot of the Malvern Hills

  • 4 of 5

I'm pleased to be able to express how much our family enjoyed our stay in your chalet!! We found the accommodation to be clean and well equipped. We received a warm and friendly welcome on arrival by you and Nigel. The chalet had plenty of storage space for the many things we brought. The chalet is situated at the foot of the Malvern Hills (great hill walking area!) tucked away off of the main roads which made it very peaceful, yet convenient enough to travel by car to many interesting locations, such as Gt Malvern, Worcester, Ledbury and Tewkesbury. Whilst there we had the chance to hold the latest brood of chicks. Together with an informative talk with Gin and Nigel on the rearing of chickens, ducks and geese. My son particularly enjoyed seeing the incubator for the chickens eggs, which even rotated the eggs, as well as keeping them in a constant temperature environment.

Both myself and my family, would highly recommend a stay here and we look forward to visiting you sometime in the future. Regards to you Gin and Nigel from the Kinsman family.

(P.S. Sorry the review is so late, only found it when deleting email)

Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Excellent hosting from Gin for whom nothing is too much trouble. Although she and Nigel are right next door, you are completely private as they keep all the blinds on their side closed. You have French doors and a big picture window looking across the garden and up to the hills beyond. If you enjoy being among well kept, happy geese, hens and ducks then this is the place for you. If you want to walk the Malvern Hills, this is an excellent base. We spent three days walking the hills and also visited Gloucester cathedral and Upton upon Severn as well as the beautiful Great Malvern, just ten minutes drive away. Accommodation is open plan for the living, dining and kitchen area. Bedrooms and small shower room are separate. It all works well for a relaxing holiday.

Absolutley charming

  • 5 of 5

The most welcoming hosts in the most delightful surroundings, this is a gem of a place. The setting beneath the Malvern Hills, overlooking the ponds where birdlife, domestic and wild went about it's comings and going is charming. The chalet itself is cosy and very comfortable even on a wet day. I'm not surprised guests return again and again.

Beautiful relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a wonderfully relaxing break, at this lovely property, which was very very comfortable, spacious, and well stocked with all that you need for a lovely relaxing break in the countryside, enclosed in a beautiful private garden.

It was lovely to sit and watch the chickens & ducks waddling about in their enclosure.

The private patio area to sit and chill and enjoy a glass of wine was fantastic, with all the pretty fairy lights in the evening.

We really enjoyed the fantastic fresh eggs for breakfast, Virginia was a very welcoming host, a pleasure to meet and to get to know, and very knowledgeable of the local area.

We look forward to staying again next year.
