About Darrell Davies

I was born and live in the town of Tenby, Photographer, sailor with past career in hotel management, marine and the offshore oil/gas industry. A member of the local harbour community and sailing club. A walker and boat angler. I am always available to help in any way to ensure you have a nice holiday.

My hotel management experience makes me understand how important customer enjoyment is, and I aim to provide a good service.

Darrell Davies purchased this apartment in 1990

Why Darrell Davies chose Pembroke, Tenby, Saundersfoot & The South Coast

This property was bought for it's fabulous panoramic views over Tenby harbour and Carmarthen Bay from the lounge bay window. Professionally converted from hotel to private apartments with perfect location near the high street shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. It is double glazed making it a quiet centrally located apartment. Sitting in the Bay window overlooking the North Beach and Tenby harbour at dawn is a once in a life time experience. The property has been recently refurbished with modern oak and leather furniture. Located on the third floor the apartment is remarkably quiet. The bedroom complete with fitted wardrobe and double bed has views over Tenby's old town walls towards Penally village. Separate bathroom and kitchen make this a comfortable spacious residence for two persons.

What makes this apartment unique

The central location, fabulous view, purpose built with full safety requirements. Designed for two persons only, to ensure comfort and privacy.

Relax in the new king size double bed or enjoy just sitting in the bay window watching the world go by. See the boats coming and going from the harbour with the ever changing tide. The High Street with sea view makes for the perfect location with everything you need close at hand. A stone's throw from the beach and a short level stroll to the shops and amenities. Security coded digital entry system through main front door.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Loved Tenby. Had a great stay at the begining of May.The apartment was great: clean, warm, comfortable, well equipped (we never thought I wish there was a ......) and the view from the lounge window was worth every one of the 48 steps to get there! The view from the bedroom was also great, looking on to the town walls and to green hills beyond. Darrell gave us a warm welcome, making us feel at home straight away, and explaind how everything worked and advised on some walks - there was also lots of local information available in the apartment. It was well appointed, sun in the morning in the lounge and later in the bedroom. Close to either Tesco or Sainsburys and the Farm shop for provisons, places to eat out, local buses and the train station and of course the harbour. The east wind prevented us visiting Caldey island until our last day, but it was perhaps the highlight of our stay, so peaceful and everywhere was beautifully maintained, lovely walks around the perimeter with great views to the mainland, bluebell woods, lots of other wild flowers, interesting birds, and the notice on the door to the old priory said it all Please don't close the door - swallows nesting. All in all a very enjoyable holiday.

Great place to stay, central to all Tenby has to offer, with the best view in town.

  • 4 of 5

Darrell, the owner is very welcoming and helpful and met us on arrival to show us around.

The apartment is clean and warm with everything needed. The only thing missing was a hair drier, but after mentioning this to Darrell he said he would go and buy one. The only other improvement that could be made is better WiFi internet access. BT Fon is available but even this is intermittent.

This is a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone and we would certainly stay here on our next visit to Tenby.

Best view in Tenby

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was clean and had everything you'd need for a holiday away from home. The bay window is the best view in Tenby. You can see everything from there, including the smaller RNLI station. Between morning walks on fresh sand and watching the tide/boats come in and out, couldn't ask for better accommodation. The owner was extremely welcoming and had great recommendations for food etc. The Moorings is a must for mules and frites at lunch. Tenby itself has a lot to offer and Manor House Wildlife Park only a 15 minute drive away (and other attractions very local). The accommodation was perfect and we will definitely be making another booking.

The perfect view

  • 4 of 5

This was a comfortable and homely flat, that was warm and cosy and the owner Darrell was very helpful and welcoming. When we weren't enjoying all that Tenby has to offer, we were glued to that gorgeous view. We didn't see any T.V. We're sooooo glad we came.

Amazing view, clean, within walking distance of everything.

Waking up to this view was a true pleasure. My 9 year old daughter was also very enamoured and was found on numerous occasions just sitting in the window.
