Our three bedroom villa provides the best of both worlds. It is set in a quiet cul de sac close to the village centre. Where you can find cypriot bars and restaurants. It also has easy access to the beautiful Coral Bay beach where you can bask in the sunshine or take part in the water sports on offer. In Coral Bay you will find bars, restaurants and shops. From the villa you can head up into the hills and explore the unspoilt part of Cyprus and find the sleepy villages and vinyards. If you prefer a lively nightlife paphos is twenty minutes away where you can dance the night away or relax in the wonderful seafood reastaurants around the harbour.
I'm a mum of two. Tom is 14 and Hannah is 8. I've been married to Andrew for 17 years. I work from home managing a small property portfolio and make cupcakes! We live in Wakefield and love our family holidays. I trained as a primary school teacher and my career has been on hold since we had Hannah. I have loved being a stay at home mum as I can be involved with the kids; supporting Hannah with her dancing and Tom with his rugby.
Debbie Wilson purchased this villa in 2003
Andrew and I first visited Cyprus 20 years ago and loved the people and the climate. Nine years ago we were in a position to buy a property abroad and Cyprus was the perfect destination. Our three bedroomed house is very versatile as it has a shower room downstairs - this allows two families staying together space to get ready for a night out! We are situated in the village of Peyia on a small cul de sac. We found that we can enjoy the best of both worlds. By car we are five minutes from the fantastic facilities of Coral Bay beach with good night life and lovely restaurants. However if you head five minutes in the opposite direction you can enjoy a typical cypriot village with local restaurants and spectacular views. Visit the local winery or head to the waterpark.
Due to the fact that the house is situated between Coral Bay and the centre of Peyia Village you would need a car. This also allows you the option of exploring the beautiful island of Cyprus without relying on organised tours. The house has three good size bedrooms two with double beds and one with bunk beds. The bunk bed room has space for extra blow up matresses (for little people) We have comfortably slept eight. The property is very much a home from home and within half an hour of being there we are settled into the easy routine of life in the sun. There are facilities for indoor and outdoor eating and sun loungers around a private pool. With one of the double bedrooms being downstairs my parents love visiting us as they don't have to negotiate the stairs.
We found this villa perfect for us. It was really, really clean and, because the living area was open plan you didn't feel you were on your own if you were cooking. There was a great TV with lots films and TV series to watch, and WiFi which was brilliant after a long hot day out either at one of the lovely beaches or site-seeing (especially with a 16, 19 and 21 year old!). There was also air conditioning which was a life saver as it was so hot. It said there were bunk beds in one room but they were actually separated into 2 singles, which was even better. The pool has a couple of bits on the side where it was peeling a bit but this didn't detract from the fact that it was a lovely pool with a shallow section near the patio and a really deep end at the other - we spent a lot of time in the pool! The location of the villa was in a quiet cul-de-sac and the outside area was very private. The neighbours were a lovely retired English couple who had lived there for 12 years and they gave us lots of good tips and advice but weren't intrusive at all. We went to a variety of restaurants in the evening that were all within walking distance. We also went to a couple further afield but all still only a short drive. I have never written a review before but the property really was great and I will certainly recommend it to friends as a destination for next year.
