Gorgeous 3 bedroomed 2 bathroomed Apartment set in beautiful Gardens With Jacuzzi Swimming Pool Close To Beach, Shops And All Amenities.

This superb apartment consists of three bedrooms two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The apartment has full air-conditioning and heating the 20 foot lounge and dining area has leather furnishings, satellite flat screen TV, blue ray DVD Player, radio/CD/IPod player, and large dining room table with six chairs this leads on to the patio which overlooks the court yard gardens with palm trees and Jacuzzi. There is a roof terrace with sun loungers and patio chairs that has beautiful sea views and can be reached by the exterior stairs. The swimming pool is contained within another of the four courtyards which make up the complex.

From the moment we booked this holiday the service we received has been fantastic. Absaloutly lovely apartment, perfect for families and couples of all ages. Even though we went at peak time it was really peaceful and relaxing and all residents were very respectful. Villaricos is a beautiful little fishing village, could not recommended enough. We will definitely return. Thank you to John and Joan they have both been really helpful and provides us with enough information x

A wonderful relaxing place to stay.

The apartment has everything one needs for a content holiday. John and Joan, the owners, are two of the nicest people I have met. Extremely helpful and full of fun. We had not been to Villaricos before so slightly apprehensive but it is a lovely quiet Spanish town. Hardly any English spoken, which is rare in a holiday resort, again a bonus. Good food, good wine, very friendly and great for families and small children. Wonderful, safe beaches.

" We will be back" as the saying goes. Hopefully very soon.

The apartment is in a perfect location, very close to the beaches and restaurants, a lovely place.

Harbour Lights is a quiet but perfect place to stay, very clean and modern with beautiful courtyard gardens and pool, the apartment was in a great location on the edge of town but within easy walking distance of the bars, restaurants and beach. We had a lovely stay and the location was well positioned for exploring the beautiful costal area of Villaricos and the surrounding area.

Beautifully designed complex excellent apartment

This was a very good choice for us - peaceful , well equipped and spacious. We loved the village and the Sunday market, the two marinas and the small bars and restaurants. We hope to return before long (possibly in warmer weather) and will definitely recommend the apartment to family and friends. Many thanks to John and Joan for all their help and suggestions prior to our visit.

Superb holiday apartment

Cannot recommend this smart, clean and well equipped apartment highly enough.

We have stayed in this development in Villaricos once before but this apartment knocked the socks off the previous rental so spacious and very nicely furnished with good beds (quite rare in my experience. Quietly located in a pleasant courtyard but close to the pool, you step out the development straight onto the harbour side. The centre of Villaricos with all its traditional Spanish charm and authentic bars and restaurants is literally on your doorstep.

Apartment was well equipped with everything you coulld need and also a good selection of DVDs for those quiet nights in.

The owners obviously take great pride in their property and are an absolute delight to deal with.

We will definitely be returning.

First class in every way!

We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely apartment and can't wait to go again. The location is perfect and the apartment is very well maintained, spotlessly clean and comfortably furnished. Nearby beaches are plentiful and there are many lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance for the evening. Harbour Lights has a lot to offer and John and Joan's apartment is the perfect place to stay - you can be sure of a professional approach to booking and the management of the apartment too. When deciding where to buy our holiday home we decided on the village of Villaricos having spent some time in the area we fell in love with the village, it ticked all the boxes for us having a traditional Spanish feel with friendly people, lovely bars and restaurants which served wonderful fresh fish and sea food alongside many others dishes. So if like us you are foodies you won’t go wrong. As soon as we saw the beautiful complex of Harbour Lights we knew this was the home for us and have since spent many wonderful holidays there with family and friends. We really enjoy the relaxed and warm feel of the village and that everything is just a short stroll away, or drive if you are looking for full on night life.

Special interest holidays:

There are two scuba diving schools in Villaricos this reflects its special diving qualities with exceptionally clear warm water creating good visibility and the opportunity to see unusual and some unique species.There is also some opportunity to arrange fishing trips from the village or from Garrucha.

For bird watching and nature lovers, the Parque natural cabo de Gata is 50,000 hectares of land and sea, with a wide range of aquatic life, flora and fauna which was declared a UNESCO bioshere reserve back in1987. The reserve is one of the most important areas for breeding and over wintering for birds and a stop of point for migrating birds between africa and Europe.

There are excellent walks in Almeria, locally or slightly further afield in the Cabo de gata, Also 40 minutes North in the Sierra Maria-Los Velez Natural Park.


There are two sandy beaches 10 minutes' walk along the palm lined promenade which connect the two Harbours and which has beautiful views out to sea. There is the Brisas beach bar/restaurant with play area on one beach and the Balsica bar/restaurant on the harbour next to El Castillo de Cristal Beach. Within a short drive are many lovely beaches and coves many which are often deserted and perfect for that intimate picnic or romantic stroll.


Villaricos has two village supermarkets a butchers and fish shop so a car is not essential and would only be necessary if you wish to explore the region. Also airport pick up can be arranged.

Murcia airport 100km, 70 mins.

Alicante airport 160 km 120 mins.

Ferry Port in Almeria city 100km 70 mins.


Vibrant Mojacar Playa is 15 mins. Beaches of San Juan 10 mins. Beaches of Vera Playa 10 mins. Pretty Mojacar pueblo 20 mins . Fishing port/ resort of Garrucha 10 mins. Authentic Spanish town of Vera 10 mins. Cuevas de Almanzora with its cave houses 10 mins. Pretty village of Bedar 30 mins. Spectecular Mountain Village of Cabrerra 40 Mins. Cabo de Gata Park 30 mins. Sierra Maria-Los Velez Natural Park 40 mins. Almeria City (with the Alcazaba fortress) 70 mins.

Further Details:

There is a traditional lively local Market in Villaricos outside Harbour lights on Sundays and there are markets somewhere in the region every day. Villaricos has in the region of 13 tapas bars and a selection of restaurants including beach bars (Chiringuito) within different price ranges. There are two local supermarkets, a fish shop, a butchers and a newsagent. For the keen fisherman there is a tackle shop providing all you need for a good days fishing. For larger supermarkets the nearest is about five minutes drive away and all the main towns have a variety of supermarkets. Banks can be found in all the towns, Villaricos has a auto teller at the far end of the village.

Further places of interest are the Aqua park in Vera playa next to the Consum supermarket. The Bullring situated on the outskirts of Vera originally built in 1879, it is home to a museum which is open to the public. Bullfights are still performed in the ring today. Other activities available are Microlighting outside Vera, Horse riding takes place in various places but Mojacar is the nearest. On the outskirts of Mojacar there is also a go-carting circuit. There are tennis courts up at Desert springs and Puerto Rey.

The province of Almeria contains Mini Hollywood, Almeria has a stunning landscape that has attracted film makers since the sixties the dramatic landscape of the Tabernas desert has been the backdrop for dozens of "spagetti westerns, Peter O'Toole classic Lawrence of Arabia and other more recent films such as Patton, the Wind and the Lion and Indiana Jones and the last Crusade. Mini Hollywood is the longest established of three theme parks existing in the area. (Texas Hollywood and Western Leone are the others)There is also an excellent Zoo with a film studio, car museum, swimming pool, a parrot show, and salon were you can see a Can Can show and other Western themed displays.

We loved the traditional Spanish feeling of Harbour lights and this is born out by its architecture and the four traditional plaza's making up the complex. The beauty of Harbour lights is maintained in that each area is redecorated every four years and maintenance is of a high level. The facilities are contained within each of the plazas with a lovely pool in one and a jacuzzi contained in beautiful gardens in an other, the other two plazas have lovely fountain features where you can read a book or just contemplate life! This is all situated on a stunning harbour front. This is why we fell in love with harbour lights and the village of Villaricos.

  • Notes on accommodation: The accommodation overlooks beautiful lush gardens which also houses the Jacuzzi, the pool is located within one of the other beautiful areas of the complex a few steps away. Please note there is not a life guard so children must always be under parental supervision. We have plenty of parking in front of the complex but please note that there is a Sunday market and that all vehicles must be moved to a side street. Please note that there is strictly no smoking in the apartment and no animals are allowed within the complex Outside: The outside patio overlooks beautiful gardens containing the Jacuzzi. The patio has a table and chairs. The shared pool is located in one of three other courtyards only steps away. Another courtyards is set as a town plaza with a fountain and Queen palms and ample seating, the perfect place to chill out and relax. The forth courtyard has a water feature, gardens containing a shaded area. The roof terrace/solarium is accessible from the stairs beside the apartment and has wonderful sea views where you can relax and soak up the rays. Please note that the swimming pool is open all year, the Jacuzzi is officially shut between November and the beginning of April. Utility Room: No utility room but the community has a free tumble dryer in the basement for your convenience: Cleaning / Towels / Linen: All linen, towels, beach towels are included.The property is cleaned before and after each booking. Prior to departure the telephone details of our local representative will be given in case of any problems
