Great location for lovers of the good life, wanting to experience the real Menorca. All the south east coast beaches and attractions are quickly reached (bus/car). best of all fter your day on the beach or exploring you can enjoy the delights of vibrant Es Castell on balmy summer evenings.

We have choice of 2 apartments in an ideal location just a short walk to the harbour fronts ( not on top of the harbour as it can get very noisy and 'too fishy' ! there at night )

Each apartment is thoughtfully furnished,equipped and lit to make a relaxing stay with everything on the doorstep.

Es Castell makes a great base for Springtime and Autumn holidays where the crowds are less but you still have everything open in the towns.

A great bus service connects you every 30 min with the capital Mahon( Mao ) and the extended bus network there to the rest of the island.

A fresh looking well maintained apartment offering everything you need as a perfect base for enjoying Es Castell and the island. New 2017 a totally renovated en-suite bathroom with luxurious walk-in shower.

Double bedroom in a contemporary style featuring modern bed with firmer mattress, double built in wardrobe, large chest of drawers and ceiling fan.

Open plan kitchen with breakfast bar. Simply equipped, the kitchen offers all that is needed for self catering, heating up/adding to the delicious homemade Menorcan chilled and hot 3 course meals that can be bought for less than 10 euros 2 minutes walk away. Long and light open living space, with ceiling fan, leads onto a 2x3.2m balcony that looks out over the town's rooftops to the surrounding countryside.

The lounge has a double sofa bed for third person, table for meals or dine on the balcony.

If this Apartment is not available we have a large Apartment ( Es Castell B ) in same location with a special couples rate.

Fantastic location

The apartment was smack bang in the middle of the beautiful town of Es Castell, which managed to combine a sleepy, quiet town by day with a vibrant harbour full of busy eateries by night.

The apartment itself did exactly what it said on the tin- spacious with the necessary appliances to make the stay comfortable and relaxing.

Never mind the beaches which are a drive away- there's a great swimming spot on the harbour 5 minutes from the apartment which seems to be a well kept secret with the locals.

We had an excellent week ,the apartment is a lovely and spacious,well equipped with everything one could possibly need,would certainly recommend it,only a stones throw away from the harbour and a lovely walk into Mahon.

It's in the heart of Es Castell need we say more! A delightful place to spend quality chill out time in authentic Menorca yet still be close to beaches and beautiful swimming bays. A brilliant base to explore all that Menorca has to offer. This is a very affordable option for those people who enjoy 'La Dolce Vita' rather than sitting around a pool all day. Es Castell is in the golden south east triangle of the island with many of Menorca's charming attractions and villages within a short distance.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Mahon at 12 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Cafe de Cultura at 20 Metres Nearest Ferry : Mahon at 5 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Son Parc at 25 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Cafe del Cultura at 50 Metres Nearest Beach : Punta Prima at 6 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

Sailing and diving courses can be enjoyed locally.

Coast/Beach:

This is the first place in Spain to receive the morning sun and has lots of attractive coastline and attractions.

Cala Padera is sun bathing & swimming bay just a 5-10 min walk away and is a delightful place to sun oneself and swim with a fantastic backdrop of the Mahon harbour. The serene bay at nearby Cala Esteve is a joy to swim in late afternoons perhaps after walking there from the town ( 35m ).

Large Sandy beaches can be reached on bus via regular bus to Mahon eg Cala en Porter

Travel:

Airport is a 10-15 min., Taxi ride away at 17 Euro one way.

Distances:

Mahon can be walked to daytime/evenings in 30mins. Regular Bus travels every half hour between Es Castell and Mahon city centre bus stop ( which is the hub for exploring the rest of the island ) . Take Water Taxi around bay eg to Mahon city harbour for 9 Eur pp

Further Details:

Everything you need supermarkets, bars and restaurants are just on the door step and not at the beach resort 'captured market' prices. Several banks and ATMs in the town as well as free WiFi at many cafes just a few mins., walk away. Additional photos on request

Es Castell B : The pricing is for 2 Persons sharing the large double bedroom and ONE bathroom. Prices for usage of other double bedrooms and bathroom for larger groups on request.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
