This 4 Star Caribbean-style resort run by Wyndham Vacation Rentals is situated on the banks of the picturesque Lake Davenport with over 70 acres of landscaped gardens, lawns, lagoons and fountains. It is one of the most beautiful places to stay in Orlando and popular with couples, groups of friends and families. The resort has 24 hr gated security and reception area.

There are 4 swimming pools/hot tubs, basketball, volleyball, tennis courts, nature trails, children's play area, children's splash pad, lounge area, spa, fitness centre and sauna, bar games, including darts and pool, fishing dock, sandy beach, direct lake access. A marketplace and gift shop are located in the clubhouse.

Our Platinum rated condo is home from home and in a very desirable location on the resort situated in Building 20, over looking the private water views. Just 30 seconds walk to the Tradewinds Restaurant/Pool/Sandy Beach and just 2 minutes walk to the Clubhouse/Pool/Splash Pad. Free WiFi is available throughout the clubhouse and in our condo. Clean, peaceful and homely,good situation friendly

The condo had all we needed for our stay, clean and tidy and in nice condition. The property was situated on the first floor and backed onto the lake offering a lovely view.The owners were very nice to deal with being very helpful and honest. The site is very pretty and well kept offering good guest reception and service. We would be pleased to return and deal with these lovely owners.

Lovely Condo!

We stayed in Sharon and Lynne's condo for nine nights in early December, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the condo and at the resort. Sharon and Lynne were extremely pleasant and responsive with the booking process. The condo is exactly as pictured -- very clean, nicely furnished, and spacious. We loved the motivational signs and plaques decorating the walls of the condo!

This was our 15th trip to Orlando but our first stay at Bahama Bay, and we were very pleased with the resort. We enjoyed morning walks on the trails running throughout the resort as well as relaxing by the beautiful pools. Sharon and Lynne's condo is conveniently located to our favorite of the four pools at the resort!

We found the location of Bahama Bay to be very convenient to the Disney parks. We never spent more than 25 minutes driving to the parks, and it was so nice to return to the peaceful resort after a busy day at Disney!

Thank you Sharon and Lynne for your hospitality! We will be back!

Another Fantastic Stay

This was our second stay at this lovely resort and again we booked through Sharon as her apartment was everything we wanted and more. Again the booking process was painless and stress free with Sharon dealing with our emails promptly and efficiently. Upon arrival everything was arranged as promised (door keys/Car passes etc) and there was no shortage of parking directly outside our apartment. The apartment itself was lovely and clean and as spacious as we remembered with fantastic views over the lake. It is well equipped with a modern kitchen, complete with all the pots and pans etc if you want to self cater. 3 Large Bedrooms with one overlooking the lake (it also has a small balcony) a large family bathroom with the master bedroom having a spacious on suite. The living room has a table and chairs, bar stools for the kitchen,DVD player, large LCD TV and cable TV. The site is always immaculately kept with grass being cut and watered almost daily. Staff and it appears even the guests are really friendly so this place must bring out the best in people !. Facilities are excellent, the lakes pools and nature walk are a joy.

The location is the real winner for us just 35/40 mins from the Airport but far enough away to have more of a domestic/local feel to the place. Most attractions are within about 40/45 mins with excellent road connections (your on the 2 main highways in either direction within 5 mins). For your essentials there are 3 large supermarkets within a ten minute drive.Locally there are some excellent interchange parks for shopping and eating out and a taxi is reasonable if you want to make use of the "Happy hour menus" I recommend "Mannys" a new steak and Rib house that has just opened (Eating out is reasonable at these parks/restaurants and its where the locals go, so always a good sign). Im tempted to write war and peace but ill finish by saying that if you have any queries whatsoever, it being the accommodation, the parks or going out in the evening Sharon will point you in the right direction.

Fabulous, spacious family accommodation.

We stayed at the apartment for an extended holiday. It was the perfect home from home for us - with all the amenities we needed like a hob & oven, dishwasher, washing machine & dryer (how nice to come home and not have the dreaded holiday washing), microwave, cable TV and a DVD player (newly released DVDs available for free from reception).

Upon arrival at the apartment, the first thing that struck me was how so much bigger it was than I expected (having previously stayed in apartments in Europe, the proportions in this apartment are substantially bigger). There are three big double sized rooms with really comfy double beds in two of them and two good sized singles in the third - all had plenty of storage space for clothes too.

There is a good (very well equipped - see above) sized kitchen, loads of room to cook with plenty of space to work in - and as a bonus a table for us to eat around as a family.

The complex is really lovely, the reception and maintenance team just cant do enough for you and have a genuine desire to ensure you have a great stay.

There are four pools on the complex - but we only went to two - both excellent, with hot tubs around the sides (although sitting in one in the heat of August was never going to happen for us). Even though we stayed throughout the busy season in July and August there were never any issues getting a sun lounger or a table with an umbrella - no matter what time of day you arrived at the pool.

In terms of location, the complex is very well placed - it is about a 15 minute drive to Disney, perhaps 20 to Universal but as the complex is only a few minutes from highway 192 and the interstate 4, navigating our way to all the attractions was very, very easy.

So, to conclude, i would say that the apartment has far exceeded my high expectations and we are already discussing dates with the owners for going back in a couple of years..... you may think we are being a bit too premature, but this apartment gets booked up at least a year in advance.

Special interest holidays:

There are a number of fishing trips available which are advertised in the brochures/leaflets near the concierge desk in the clubhouse. There are organised guided Bass Fishing trips on a few local Lakes, and you can go east or west for shark fishing, or any type of sea fishing, Tampa, St Petes is around an hour away as well. Some guests have purchased fishing rods/bait from the 24hr Super Walmart which are reasonably priced and enjoyed fishing from the dock, Lake Davenport at Bahama Bay. At the lake you will catch Bass, Crappies, Panfish or (Blue Gills) weird Mud pike (Bowfins) Alligator Gar, Catfish. The resort has its own license so there would be no need to acquire your own.

Coast/Beach:

The resort has its very own private man-made sandy beach with sun-loungers and parasols, located on the shore of Lake Davenport. Should you wish to drive to other beaches:-

Daytona Beach 60 Miles

Cocoa Beach 76 Miles.

Clearwater Beach 86 Miles.

Travel:

Orlando International Airport (MCO) approx 40 minutes drive to the resort.
