- A Little Over a Mile From the Busy Border Market Town

Recently completely refurbished to a very high standard, with country and garden views, this is a light and airy, well equipped, comfortable one bedroomed flat on the first floor of the main house. We now have another bedroom and bathroom that can be let as an extra room for the apartment. The new room can either be a twin or a superking and has a seriously good bathroom with walk in shower and bath.

Newly constructed secret garden specifically for the appartment There is garden furniture, table tennis table, pond pavilion with hammock, games and a barbecue. We also have 3 Llamas, a horse and foal and chickens. Utility Room: In the attached main house there is a drying room, extra freezer storage and a commercial tumble drier available for guests. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels included. Linen changed weekly. Other: The apartment has views on three sides and is private with its own entrance.

Great hosts, very comfortable accommodation

Geoff & Kate ensured that our extended stay was really comfortable.

I particularly enjoyed the fresh figs Geoff provided us from their large fig tree.The view from the sitting room offered us an opportunity to see the lamas grazing.

During our stay we were able to take advantage of the properties location and re visit areas of Shropshire, Cheshire and Wales that we hadn’t been to in years.

Owner's Response: Ray and his wife were brilliant guests. They were here for a while waiting for their house to be completed. It’s a different sort of challenge looking after guests staying longer than just a holiday time and we hope they settled in and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Quiet apartment with stunning views

Beautiful apartment well presented, with stunning views. Owners couldn't have been more welcoming. On arrival we were given cream tea with home made scones, bread and the best eggs I've ever tasted. The accommodation is extremely quite, no traffic noise at all only bird song, and rural but only a mile from Oswestry town. Fantastic choice of places to visit within easy driving so a great base if you like getting out and about. Lovely local walks in unspoilt countryside. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy life this is the place to stay. We had no trouble with phone coverage and good internet connection.

Excellent apartment

I was a little nervous about booking this apartment, having had a big disappointment with an apartment in New York last September. I needn't have worried. Everything from my welcome with newly baked bread and scones, with fresh cream and butter and some newly laid eggs, to the apartment itself, was perfect. I couldn't get any signal from my phone, and was immediately offered the use of the house phone. The place is spacious, well planned and very clean, and extremely quiet. I'll definitely stay here again. They also have a larger holiday cottage, so the place would suit just about anyone other than someone looking for a wild night life. Note that a car is essential.

Walking (Offas Dyke path on half a mile away), cycling and several National Trust properties close at hand. This is a well known area for downhill/cross country biking with lots of different grade tracks in spectacular scenery. Horse riding, lake/river canoeing and fishing.


One and half hour drive to lovely Welsh coast thro' beautiful scenery.


1 hour 15 mins from Birmingham, Manchester or Liverpool airports.


Nearest town is Oswestry, a little over a pavemented mile away.

Further Details:

Oswestry has a full range of amenities including a new sports centre (swimming pool) and our restaurant, The Walls.
