The property is in a wood and stone building of 6 apartments. It's on the edge of Arc 2000, overlooking 1950 with pine trees dotted around. You can go up the elevator to the restaurants and nightlife in 2000, or down the Cabriolet to the bars, shops and restaurants of 1950. It's a 26km taxi trip from Bourg St Maurice station which is on the London Eurostar route or you can get the bus and funicular down there for a wander about the village. We speak English, French and Italian.

Fantastic location, comfortable and spacious apartment

Great apartment right on the slopes. This was our second visit to Les Arcs and we stayed in a catered chalet last year. Staying in John's apartment was so much better - beautiful and spacious and lovely comfy sofas. Well appointed kitchen, great beds and amazing views. And the jacuzzi bath was fab after a day on the slopes. Couldn't recommend it more.

Charming apartment in a great location with spectacular views

Our group of 7 have just returned from a fantastic week in marmottes penthouse.

The apartment was of a very high standard, with a clear attention to detail throughout which made our stay extra special.

The large communal area and kitchen is a great feature which allows everyone to enjoy being together. The bedrooms were very nice, slightly small, but this wasn't a problem.

The kitchen was well equipped with a big fridge and oven and plenty of food preparation space.

If there is enough snow on the road it is possible to ski down right to the front door of the apartment which we were lucky enough to have. Les arcs as a ski area offers plenty of variety and challenging off-piste and connects very well to bourg St maurice which has a direct eurostar service to London.

Overall, a fantastic apartment and one I would recommend to anyone looking to travel to les arcs.

Perfect Family Ski Vacation

We just returned from the perfect family ski break in Les Arc.

The apartment is wonderful with a great space for entertaining and relaxing after a day of fun on the slopes. There are many stylish personal touches around the penthouse that really add to the alpine ambience.

Waking up to a stunning view of Mont Blanc is very special and it was wonderful to sit out on the sunny balcony, overlooking the slopes in the afternoon and enjoy an après ski tipple.

Great apartment, great skiing, great choice of restaurants and activities. We will definitely be back.

Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine dans cet appartement qui possède tous les atouts d'un très bon séjour aux sports d hivers (aux pieds des pistes, à côté du casino et des différents services...)

L appartement qui possède une cheminée dans le salon est très cocooning et convivial ainsi que ses chambres spacieuses et doté d une cuisine moderne et fonctionnelle, sans oublier des propriétaires charmants soucieux d apporter à leurs locataires toutes les commodités pour se sentir chez eux comme chez soi!

Dommage au passage que nous nous soyons croisés sans nous rencontrer...

Excellent accommodation for big group

Great location, pretty much ski-in ski-out from Arcs 2000. Really nice accommodation with wooden beams. Ideal for big groups. We had 10 people with only one child. The living room size is difficult to make out from the pictures, probably not quite as big as pictures make it look but after moving the sofa bed (and having one person sleeping in the living room) we were still able to sit 10 people around the fire. Only negative was beams in bedroom were quite low and easy to bang head on. Great price.

Lovely chalet

Due to some rather dire weather and my wife's unfortunate accident on the slopes, more time was spent in the apartment during the day than anticipated. Fortunately, what a lovely, cosy and comfortable chalet it is to hang around in! Plenty of DVDs and wifi to keep any non-skiers happy! Close to a very nice small restaurant and shop, also the slopes. 6 of us stayed in the chalet, and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Location

From the Owner

We like "ski gastronomique" with no fuss. So, it was important for us to have good skiing, near good restaurants and near ski lifts. Les Arcs has the longest piste in Europe (Aquille Rouge), with a great variety of easy and difficult pistes and a great variety of wide pistes, narrow ones, forest ones with great views down the, often mist shrouded, valley and of Mont Blanc. The apartment is a 2 minute walk from the button lift which gets you onto the slopes. If the snow is right you can even ski back to the building door but we were told off once by gendarme for skiing on the side of the road. It is right between Arcs 2000 and 1950. Close enough for access to the restaurants and bars of bot resorts and far enough away never to be bothered by noise.

Bourg St Maurice is nearest Eurostar station and is 26 kms from the apartment

The most convenient airport is Chambéry, situated 144 kms (2hrs) away. From here, you have a number of different methods of transport to choose from to get you up to resort. If you can’t get a flight to Chambéry, the next best options are Grenoble (211kms), Lyon (222kms) or Geneva (225km); all of which are serviced by a number of the major airlines.

Further Details:

Arcs 2000 and 1950 have lots of shops, bars, mini markets, a bowling alley, ice rink, ATMs, Post Office and restaurants.

The views are the best thing. The jacuzzi is so relaxing and also social with room for two. We like to leave lots of DVDs in the property for people to enjoy, especially for those days where the weather is too bad to ski and you can have guilt-free TV in front of the log fire. The local restaurants range from the cheap and cheerful, raclette and fondue places to the more cordon bleu.

  • The double jacuzzi room is our favourite part of the apartment. There is nothing better after a good day's skiing than than some aroma therapy, mood music, candles and a long hot soak! Bread, croissants, pain chocolate, pain au raisin etc can be delivered to your door each morning (joyous).
