About the property

2 bedroom house Near Mont St-Michel - Peaceful location in countryside, close to picturesque towns steeped in history

44 Le Val St Revert is situated in north-eastern Brittany close to the old coast road which runs from Pontorson to St-Malo. Normandy is just a few miles away and our guests adore being able to sample the culture, lifestyle and gastronomy of these two such distinct regions which are located within minutes of each other. Our most famous local attraction is Mont-St-Michel and we have wonderful views of it from a roof terrace at the front of the property.

About Ruth and Henry Maisey

Ruth and Henry have lived here since 2007. In our first year we added Frodo, our bouncy Labrador, to the family. In year 2 we bought some lambs and some pigs. In our third year we got married, under the willow tree with a crowd of French and English friends looking on. We both love cycling but never seem to have the time to get out on the bikes. We are happy to help other cyclists explore the area. There are lots of lovely places nearby to walk the dog, so we still get plenty of exercise.

Ruth and Henry Maisey purchased this house in 2011

Why Ruth and Henry Maisey chose Saint-Malo area

We love the view of Mont St Michel from the roof terrace. Although we only live 1km away, we have been known to escape to this cottage for a few days of peace and quiet.

A great place to stay while visiting le Mont St Michel.

  • 5 of 5

Ruth and Henry greeted us warmly at their home down the road from the cottage. Henry took us to the cottage and gave us a very thorough introduction to each of the rooms. The kitchen was completely equipped and was very easy to work in. There was a lovely dining area off the living room. The two bedrooms upstairs were very nice and there was a very modern bathroom. The shower was great! Every room was well lit and well ventilated. There was a nice deck outside one bedroom that had a great view of le Mont St Michel and there was a very pleasant patio downstairs off the living room. We would highly recommend this country cottage to anyone wishing to visit the area.

Peaceful pretty little house with a deck to enjoy the view of Mont St Michel

  • 5 of 5

Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Secure garden for our dogs who were made very welcome. A peaceful location but not to far from anywhere. The owners were really helpful providing detailed maps and suggesting good walks both coastal and inland. The market at Dol de Bretagne on Saturday is a must visit, as is Cancale, where we enjoyed oysters and mussels.

We visited during an unseasonably warm December and enjoyed sitting on the deck with a glass of wine watching the beautiful sunset over Mont St Michel.

A lovely short break to recharge our batteries.
