Marans is 15 mins away with many bars,cafes,restaurants,boat hire and shops. Local vineyard is 5 mins away and produce top quality wine... The lovely village of Mervent is 20 mins away and has a large lake,zoo,forest,boating hire and bars/restaurant. Vouvent (one of the prettiest award winning villages in FRANCE) is then five mins on,with craft shops,bars,cafes,restaurants,gift shops,

Beautiful Cottage

We loved the cottage and our dog loved the garden. Cottage was very tastefully decorated and the description of the cottage was accurate and very clean. Mike was really helpful and we would recommend this cottage. La Rochelle is beautiful and only half an hour from the cottage. We wished we had gone to see it earlier in the week as too much to see in one day. Vouvent is a beautiful village 20mins from the cottage, where we spent time walking, shopping and eating. It was a lovely week.

Myself and my husband arrived on a beautiful sunny day .The gite was lovely,clean and ready for us.The owners met us and made sure everything was ok before they left.It was,thanks.We found everything we needed in the gite.Property,location etc was all good for us.Have recommended to our friends already.Would return .Had a great week.Thanks

first class location for walks and visits to traditional French villages.the gite itself is all you need it has all amenities that you need .what more can I say I would stay there again no problem ay all many thanks to mike and bev.

Beaches 40 mins approx. La rochelle 30 mins. Fontenay 10 mins. Local restaurant, bar tobac, shop, hairdressers-walking distance. Mevent 20 mins. vouvant 25 mins.

Travel:

La Rochelle Airport 35 mins. Nantes airport 1 hour. Poitiers airport 1 hour. St Malo 3 hours. Caen 4.5 hours.

Distances:

Village shop. Supermarkets 10 mins. In the village local activities include a tennis court, horse riding equestrian centre, rowing boats to hire.

Beautiful walks, bike rides and fishing.

Set down a quiet country lane. It is located in a rural village, Le Poire Sur Velluire, with a shop for your fresh baguette, hairdressers and tabac within a short walking distance. For a delicious evening meal, we suggest the local pretty restaurant ‘auberge de la riviere’ just a 10 minute walk.
